“The best part about leaving our dogs with Gabe is they are so happy to leap out of the car and run up to him! They are obviously very comfortable there. Thanks again Gabe for a worry free trip. We very much appreciate the work you do for us. You are a blessing!”

“John and wife were amazing, super friendly, responsive and LUNA cane home super happy as opposed as previous times we let her in the veterinary boarding. Thank you so much!”

“I knew that my little girl was in good hands as soon as I met her and the rest of the family. Chrissy text me daily and sent pictures of my dog interacting with her family.I would highly recommend her!”

“Lisa was great and I’m pretty sure my dog was bummed to come home. He lived his best life while there. He got snuggles, love and even took over their dogs bed. Lisa was diligent on communication and sending me pictures with updates. She welcomed me to visit before I booked. She has a fenced in yard where my dog could go out the doggie door when he needed. She gladly gave him his eye drops. Bowser will be back for sure! Thank you so much.”

“Great job! I feel like zip was well taken care of. I received updates and pictures while Zip was in care of Brendan. Brendan was flexible with drop off and pick up times. Reasonable pricing. I would send Zip here again in future.”

“Luna had a great time with Christina. Receiving the photos of Luna with a smile on her face was so reassuring to us while we were away on vacation. Luna had a wonderful time with Christina's children and their dog Rylee. Christina did a wonderful job. Thank you so much for taking such great care of Luna. I can tell she misses your family.”

“Laurie was absolutely great! She was so good to Odin and welcomed into her home as if he was her own. He adapted well to her family and she kept me updated with messages and pictures throughout his stay. We are so thankful for her!”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life. I’ve also volunteered for dog shelters and watched family and friends pets on multiple occasions. I love puppies and older dogs. Everyone deserves to feel like they can leave their pet with a safe person who will love on their dog. I’m a very active person and take walks daily. My schedule is very flexible which makes it easy to be able to come home during the day and take dogs for walks or just be around at home to hang out. I care for them very much. My apartment has a dog park down the street as well as many grassed areas around to play and go potty. Nothing dangerous or unusual kept in house hold. I live with 3 girls all who have dogs at home and love taking care of them.
“This was our first time using Rover and Nicole and her family was absolutely wonderful. We loved the videos and photos. It gave us such peace of mind knowing that Bella was well loved and was having a great time while we were away for the week.”

“Pam was so great with our puppy and made us feel at ease when we went away for a weekend! She made sure she understood the routines we have and followed them during the stay. She was concerned with making sure our pup felt at home with her and her dog, and she gave us updates throughout the weekend. We will definitely use Pam in the future and recommend her to anyone in the area!”

“Patricia and her boyfriend take such good care of my little guy. He always loves going over and visiting their dogs. They take him on several walks each day and send lots of photos and video. I know he’s in good hands when I leave him with Patricia.”

“Jennifer was a life saver! At last minute my boarding plans changed, and she was able to help out. She gave excellent care to Katey, and sent pics and daily updates. Katey loved being there! Five plus star ratings!”

“I would definitely recommend Corinne, she was great! She was easy to communicate with, flexible, and sent lots of updates and pictures. She also made sure Nova was well-exercised and comfortable. I came back to a very happy puppy! :)”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their College Corner home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your College Corner.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your College Corner sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
