“Emberly is great with the dogs, playing with the puppy and keeping them active when she’s there. Also meeting the older dogs needs for affection with pets and paw holding.”

“Isabella was so kind & communicative! We’ll definitely be using her again. This was Lovey’s first experience with a sitter & it could not have gone more perfectly. Thank you!!”

About: I have hands-on experience raising and training puppies, including intelligent, high-energy breeds like German Shepherds and Australian Cattle Dogs. I’ve also cared for dogs of all ages, sizes, breeds, and personalities. I understand that every dog has unique needs, quirks, and routines. My approach focuses on patience, positive reinforcement, enrichment activities, and creating a comfortable, welcoming environment where dogs can feel safe, happy, and free to be themselves. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention, companionship, and care throughout the day. I’m able to accommodate individual routines, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and enrichment activities. Since I’m home throughout the day, your pet won’t have to spend long stretches alone and can enjoy a comfortable, relaxed environment with plenty of love and attention. My goal is to provide a safe, welcoming, and comfortable environment where every dog feels right at home! I believe in allowing dogs to be themselves while respecting their individual personalities, boundaries, and routines. My home is shared with Harlow, my friendly and playful German Shepherd, who loves the company of other dogs that enjoy playing and respect personal space. I prioritize compatibility, thoughtful introductions, and supervised interactions to ensure everyone feels comfortable and secure. Whether your pet is staying in my home or I’m stopping by yours for a drop-in visit, I provide personalized care, enrichment activities, exercise, and plenty of affection. I carefully follow your instructions, respect your home, and provide photo updates so you can feel confident your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for.
“Mackenzie was wonderful. Great communication and we loved the daily updates. Gave us great comfort knowing Birdie & Sam had Mackenzie checking in on them every day. Sam requires medication and Mackenzie was able to ensure he got it exactly as needed and when he needed. The kitties were well cared for and happy. We’d absolutely have Mackenzie care for our fur babies again and recommend her care for others.”

“Samantha did a great job checking in on our cat, Louie. On a previous vacation, he came to a cat with a UTI because the person we hired (not through Rover.com) did not clean his box properly. Samantha kept us up to date on how Louie was doing and kept his boxes clean. We came home from vacation to a happy and healthy cat. I will definitely use Samantha again!”

About: I’ve been around animals longer than I can remember. Previously a full time developmental puppy trainer and growing up with dogs, cats and farm animals, I now have 2 cats and 1 dog of my own. I have a passion for what I do and take great pride in giving amazing care to your pets. I have experience with all ages, all sizes and all breeds. Medication? No problem! I have experience with diabetic pets, therefore I am able to give injections or oral medications if needed! Previously a full time developmental puppy trainer, I have taken on a more independent role. I am available full time and I am very adventurous on my free time and love going hiking with my pup. I would love to allow your pet to join along in the fun! Whether you need a daily walk, weekly care, or going out of town, I can make sure your furry family members are loved and cared for. I make sure to build trust and a bond with the pets and safety is my biggest priority! When walking dogs, must be provided with leash and collar/harness or fenced in yard.

About: I’ve had animals my entire life and bring both experience and genuine care to every pet I watch. I was raised on a farm surrounded by animals, and I’ve owned dogs for most of my life, including a small dog I cared for over 16 years. I currently have an 8-month-old Golden Retriever puppy, so I’m very comfortable with puppy energy, routines, and reinforcement of basic training. I work as a teacher Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM. Because of this, I’m most available for pet care in the mornings, evenings, and overnight stays during the week. My schedule also allows for consistent availability on weekends, holidays, and school breaks, which gives me extra flexibility for walks, drop-ins, and extended care. When caring for pets, I prioritize maintaining their normal routines and making sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship outside of my work hours.
“This is the second time Kyla has watched my fur babies and she is the best! She agreed to watch them on super short notice, she got to the check-ins on time, she was very communicative, she took the most amazing photos of my pets (seriously, she should be an animal photographer) where my pets look very happy and content, and she is very easy and fun to work with. As a bonus, she also cleaned our cats' litter boxes while she was there (even though she totally didn't need to because were only gone for a few days). All in all, highly recommend!! ☺️”

About: I have experience in home health care for the elderly, often providing support that extends to their pets as well. My experience with pets have been primarily dog walking for clients, feeding, pet/home maintenance I’m currently making myself entirely open to this experience into pet care as to making this my career. I enjoy being connected more with present life, and I feel as taking care of animals would set me on that track. I offered care to pets by fulfilling their needs, wants, and offering companionship. I also intend on extending care to making the environment more hygienic for the pet.
About: About Me: Hi, I'm Arya Naga. I was born in India and moved to the United States in 2005. Through the hard work and dedication of my parents, I achieved my goals of becoming a permanent resident (enroute to becoming a US Citizen in few months), earning my education and building my passion into a business dedicated to dogs. I provide boarding, daycare, training, behavior modification, walking, exercise, and grooming with one simple motto: **Happiness, Wellness, and Safety of Every Pet Under My Care.** I work from home full-time, which allows me to provide constant supervision, individualized attention, structured exercise, enrichment activities, and regular potty breaks throughout the day. Every dog's care is customized based on age, energy level, temperament, health, and your specific instructions. I am currently signed up for my 3rd educational degree to finish pre DVM prerequisites in about 2-3 years, with the goal of getting into Cornell to pursue my DVM degree. I train my dogs regularly in obedience, tracking, agility and search and rescue. I am also a **NASAR Wilderness Air Scent Certified K9 Handler**, and I have experience working with dogs of many breeds, sizes, temperaments, and behavioral challenges. My Boarding Philosophy: Safety always comes first. Every dog is treated as an individual. I carefully evaluate each dog's temperament before introducing them to other dogs. While many dogs eventually enjoy supervised group play, I never force interactions simply because they're boarding together. If your dog prefers people over other dogs—or simply needs more personal space—they will receive plenty of one-on-one attention, walks, playtime, enrichment, and affection instead. What Your Dog Can Expect: * Constant supervision while boarding * Structured play, walks, fetch, and enrichment * Individual feeding and medication (if needed) * Fresh water and frequent potty breaks * Clean, sanitized environment * Comfortable individual crate for rest and overnight sleeping * Plenty of exercise balanced with appropriate rest Dogs are never left crated all day. Throughout the day they enjoy multiple outdoor breaks, exercise sessions, walks, and playtime before returning indoors to relax and recharge. Crate Policy: All boarding dogs have their own appropriately sized crate for meals, rest periods, and overnight sleeping. This helps maintain a safe, clean, and low-stress environment for every dog while preventing accidents, unwanted chewing, food stealing, marking, or conflicts between unfamiliar dogs. Crate training is also an important life skill that benefits dogs in veterinary care, travel, and training environments. Cleanliness: Maintaining a clean environment is one of my highest priorities. My home, crates, and equipment are cleaned and sanitized regularly using pet-safe cleaning products to provide a healthy environment for every guest. Feeding: I recommend owners bring their dog's regular food to avoid digestive upset. However, if needed, I can provide my own high-quality kibble for a reasonable additional fee, provided your dog has no known food sensitivities. What I Ask From Owners: To provide the best care possible, I ask that owners share: * Your dog's daily routine * Feeding and medication instructions * Behavioral history (both strengths and challenges) * Play style and exercise preferences * Any medical conditions or special needs The more I know about your dog, the better I can make their stay comfortable and enjoyable. My Commitment: My goal is for every dog to leave my home happy, healthy, safe, and excited to return. I take the trust you place in me seriously and will care for your dog as if they were one of my own. I also perform a wellness check during both drop-off and pickup to document your dog's condition and ensure transparency for everyone involved. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. I look forward to meeting you and your pup! As i work from home, i can attend the pets needs in a timely manner and ensure they are always well taken care of and are having a good time when boarded with me. They come out every 2-3 hrs and get walked or played hard for 30-40 mins each session and the loop repeats like from 6am/7am to midnight. I give personalized attention to an individual pup’s needs and strategize my approach accordingly. The pets are always provided with required amount of food, plenty of water, play and potty breaks between 7am to 1am.
“Paige has been a fantastic pet sitter! My pup can be skeptical of people, but Paige has such a calm presence that Clarice warmed up to her right away. Paige has great communication, letting me know when my pup has been fed or taken for a walk, and how she's doing with her separation anxiety. She also sends lots of cute photos, which always make me feel so reassured that my pup is in great hands while I'm gone. Even my cat (who is typically afraid of strangers) will come out and play with Paige. We will definitely keep coming back to Paige for pet sitting!”
About: I am an animal lover! I have a dog named piper she's a small little angel and my life hasn't been the same since I've had her. I want people to feel comfortable leaving their furry bundles of love with someone who can love and protect them! I take the dogs I am watching to the dog park at my apartment where they can run and play. Also, if interested I can bathe your dog before he or she comes home. Your dog will have a blast with many toys and walks and naps on the couch! I am a currently not working so I’ll be at home all day with my fur babies and hopefully yours. I have a very flexible schedule I always keep the dogs I am watching on a leash unless it is a fenced backyard. I’m always paying attention and capturing cute moments.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
