About: I’ve been caring for cats and dogs for over 15 years. I grew up in a cat-loving home, where my parents welcomed seven cats into our family. My siblings and I all shared the responsibility of caring for them, so looking after animals has always been a part of my life. We also always had big dogs! Mastiffs, Labrador Retrievers, and a Standard Poodle, I’m very comfortable caring for both large and small breeds. Our newest family member, Penny the Chihuahua, has given me plenty of experience earning the trust of shy, skittish, anxious, and even grumpy little pups. I understand that some dogs and cats need a little extra time to feel comfortable, and I’m committed to respecting their boundaries while making them feel safe, loved, and cared for. Whether your pet is outgoing or a little more reserved, I’ll meet them where they are and give them the patience and kindness they deserve. To me, pets are so much more than animals, they’re family. While you’re away, I’ll care for your furry family member with the same love, attention, and respect that I would give my own, so you can have peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands! Right now I work at a family-friend owned franchise and have very flexible hours. If i’m notified 2-1 week’s in advance I could have the entire day/days dedicated to taking care of your pup. If last minute pet care is needed, I can more than likely work my schedule around to help with your needs! I have a mostly fenced in yard and will be taking that fix into priority, I just don’t currently have the funds to finish the other side of the fence. Leashed walks and potty breaks will be the for front of my care until we are able to fix the fence. I am more than happy to stand on the curb side for 25 minutes while your pup sniffs the same concrete patch each walk, per the inconvenience 😅😂 I understand and have experience following feeding schedules so if you have list, please let me know and i’d be happy to follow!
“Laura was amazing. This was our first time using Rover and getting a dog sitter and we couldn't be happier. She was punctual, and was able to handle multiple medications for one of our dogs with ease. We'll definitely be using her in the future any time we go out of town.”

“If you’re looking for someone you can completely trust with your dogs, Kaila is the one. She has been absolutely wonderful with our two doodles, and I honestly can’t say enough good things about her. She is always on time, communicates well, and is incredibly dependable. What has impressed us most is how quickly our dogs bonded with her. They genuinely look forward to seeing her, and that gives us so much peace of mind when we’re away or at work. Kaila has also been so accommodating whenever we’ve needed to adjust our schedule or add weekend drop-in visits. She has always been flexible, kind, and willing to help, which has made a huge difference for our family. Finding someone who treats your pets like they’re her own is rare, and that’s exactly what Kaila does. I recommend her without hesitation. If you’re considering booking her through Rover, don’t think twice. Your pets will be in excellent hands.”

“Paw-some job as always! James has been my go to dog/house sitter for years even before becoming a registered sitter on rover. He really takes care of things as if they are his own, if not better! This time he came to feed our 4 dogs while we were out of town. He couldn’t find where the water dish was for our back yard so he filled one up just in case. I appreciate James so much and hope more people come to know him as the dependable person he is.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
