About: Hello, my name is Alex! Animals have always been an interest of mine (fun fact: my favorite animal is the grizzly bear) and I love caring for them! I've been taking care of my family dogs for the last 5 years and recently adopted my kitty a little over a year ago. Outside of that, I volunteer at my local shelter and have been hired to walk dogs by neighbors as well as dog/ house sit from time to time. I may be new to Rover but I am not new to being dependable and responsible! I am currently a Junior in college and do not work a job during the academic year. My main constraint is classes when school is in session, but other than that I will work diligently to fit into whatever schedule is needed of me! I know how difficult it can be to trust someone else with your pet. This is why I do my absolute best to make sure each fur baby is treated with the same love and care that I would want for my own. About: I have stayed in homes for several days caring for three dogs, ensuring they received attention, exercise, and routine care. I’ve also provided traditional pet sitting services, checking in on dogs, feeding them, and taking them for walks. I am extremely detail-oriented and committed to following all instructions exactly as given to ensure pets remain comfortable, safe, and happy whether they are in their home environment or mine. I am a college student home for the summer and I am working a part time job 20 hours per week at Lake Forest Racquet Club. Therefore, I have a very flexible schedule as I usually only work from 7 A.M. to 12 P.M. four days a week. Whether caring for pets in my home or a client’s, I prioritize safety, structure, and stimulation. In a client’s home, I strictly follow all instructions and respect their space while maintaining a calm and clean environment for the pet. In my own home, I ensure pets receive plenty of attention, mental stimulation, and physical activity through regular walks and playtime. I truly strive to create a comfortable setting where pets feel secure and cared for at all times!

About: I worked at a boarding facility for a while where I was responsible for feeding, watering, and walking 150+ dogs a day. I am also experienced in dog bathing, brushing, nail clipping, and brushing teeth. I currently work at the metro animal shelter and I am skilled in medicating dogs and handling puppies and senior animals. I am free to care for your pet any time of day and any day of the week and cant wait to meet your furbabies! I will have my full attention on your pet anytime I am with it, I am comfortable crating your pet before I leave if you like.

About: My passion for pets and their mental well-being started early. Since 2019, my dad and I have volunteered at animal shelters, walking dogs and house training them to help them find loving homes. Now, as a college freshman, I’m continuing my mission to give back to the community and support animals as they grow. With two dogs of my own I trained and experience raising a litter of puppies, I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe, loved, and engaged. When your pets are with me, they’ll get more than just care—they’ll enjoy fun agility activities, positive interaction, and, most importantly, safety. I am currently a fully time student, along with involved into on campus clubs and volunteers at the Hospital, but, I still make time to take care of animals at my local animal shelter. Your pet’s safety is my top priority. My home provides a secure, pet-friendly environment where your furry friend can relax, play, and feel at ease. About: I used to work at the Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter where I took care of both cats and dogs. I love both, and I own two cats and a dog. I do not currently have any other job, but I will update this if that changes! As of now, I am available every day at any time. I do want it made aware that I must meet a dog before I care for it due to poor past experiences. My home is not suited for anyone’s pets, as my dog is not friendly to other dogs, and my cats are not fond of other cats. However, I will have no problems going to your place.

About: I love animals! I worked part-time at a local animal shelter. As a result, I have gained ample experience in handling animals. I can also provide references if needed. I'm a part-time student (I take online classes), but I can always make time to do things I enjoy, and hanging out with the creatures is one! Taking long walks with the puppies is one of the many things I liked when working at the Shelter. Here are some basic rules I go by: Don't let your pet outside without a leash if the yard doesn't have a fence, don't step outside without locking the doors, and always do a little extra for the owner as a courtesy! :)

About: I had a Tibetan Terrier who lived to be 14 years old, so I've had plenty of senior pet care experience, as well as administering medications. I currently have a golden retriever who is about little over 1 year old who I got at 8 weeks so plenty of puppy experience as well. I've trained both of my dogs to do many tricks. I've never owned a cat but I've pet sit for plenty. I'm taking classes at the University of Alabama so whenver I'm not in class or taking care of my own dog, I'm free. Especially weekends, afternoons, and evening. I can take your dog on walks or if you have a fenced in yard I can go hang out with them in the backyard.

About: From a young age I was taught to care for all kinds of animals such as birds, cats, dogs, pigs, and ferrets. I can bottle feed pigs, kittens, and puppies. I work with puppies on basic training skills such as sit, paw, and lay-down. I can also bath animals and give medicine when needed. My classes start at 8:00 AM so if I need to make morning trips for animal care it would need to be around 7:00 AM I get out of class at noon and typically don't have additional activities until 5:00 PM. After that I'm available from 8:00 PM till 10:00 PM for last calls at houses. Currently I live in a dorm where I cannot have animals but when I was home with my family I took the dog out first thing in the morning for a walk/ jog. Once we are back to the house I provide breakfast and got ready for school. At lunch my mom would let the dog out to go to the rest room, around 3:00 when I got home from school I took my dog out to play or swim for 45 minutes to an hour. Around 5:00 PM we would chill on the couch while I completed homework and then we her outside for her last potty break around 9:00 and then when she comes in I comb her and get her ready for bed for the night.

About: I have always had a huge spot in my heart for animals and I wish I could help every single one in bad situations. I have always known I wanted to work in Veterinary Medicine so currently I work at a clinic as a Veterinary assistant training to be a licensed Veterinary Technician !! I have so much experience with animals from puppies/kittens to senior dogs/cats including their different needs and type of care and can’t wait to learn even more!! *If possible, I do request proof of up to date vaccinations and preventions (flea, tick, heartworm and worm)* Since moving to Tuscaloosa, I’ve gotten a job at a vet clinic and my boyfriend (Mason) attends UA. He loves animals just as much as I do and we will always have them in our home! Our schedules are very flexible and someone is almost always home:) My dog Tug is a GSP (German shorthair pointer) and is absolutely rotten! He loves going to the dog park and is very friendly and loves meeting new people and friends!! With that being said we can always take them to the dog park if allowed and play with them in the backyard and definitely go get pup cups! I will not be alone any of the time for my safety and the animals safety, I will always have help and support!

About: My animal and pet sitting experience is very extensive from having at most 4 dogs in my house growing up and farm sitting, cat/dog/lizard/fish sitting since I was 13. I love all animals and their health, safety, and happiness is my number one priority. Currently I’m a student in Alabama, originally I’m from South Carolina and have done pet sitting there for awhile. Although I do have class Monday-Friday I am available in the afternoons as my classes are all in the morning for the most part. I am also almost always available on the weekends! Personally, I have a female English Pointer mix who is very friendly with other dogs and people… she is easy going to say the least. Depending on your pups and the environment River could possibly be a good playmate if your fur babies are lonely. Safety is number one so I wouldn’t ever do anything without owners permission.

About: Since I was little, I was around animals all the time. My mom‘s cat lady gene was very strong, because I have six very special cats myself: Ruby (an orange tabby with three legs), Freya (a long-haired dilute torbie), Luna (a silly calico), Phoebe (a tortie with white socks), Callisto (a gray teddybear who came to us as a yard stray) and Poe (void cat who was born in our house). Although I do not want the commitment of adding a dog to the mix full-time, I also love taking care and playing with all puppers! I work full-time during the week, but I have a flexible work times. I can schedule walks and check-ups early in the mornings and starting after 5 pm in the afternoon. I am available most weekends, both Saturday and Sunday. I will familiarize myself with your space and where your pets are allowed. It is important to me to understand if your pet will try to test limits and rules with me that might apply in your home. Both cats and dogs react differently to strangers, so it is important for me to not force them to interact if they want their space.

About: I have been an avid pet lover, owner, and caregiver my entire life! Throughout my teenage years I worked, and rode, for many top equestrian facilities in Georgia providing weekend barn care such as stall cleaning, feeding, and turnout. I have provided farm/pet sitting for numerous clients, friends, and families over the years, being solely responsible for up to 30 horses, as well as their pets, at one time. Most recently, I have 5 years of experience working in the veterinary industry. I currently have 2 dogs! A 4 year old Golden Retriever and a 7 year old Shepsky who both are my best friends! I currently do work full-time in Birmingham, however I am off every Friday and available on weekends as well! Mondays-Fridays I can provide afternoon and evening pet care services as well. At home, we have a fully fenced in yard and both of our dogs are friendly and love to play! I can also crate your pets if need be, and am comfortable administering oral/topical medications.

About: I am very loving with animals and take excellent care of them like I would my own children. I've always had a dog since I was able to walk. I currently have 3 dogs and 3 cats that are all rescues. I have taken online courses and I am certified as a vet assistant and worked for the animal shelter for over 4 years as an adoption coordinator and volunteer coordinator. I know what it can be like to go away and leave your pet with someone and believe me when I say that I will be sure they are loved and handled with care. I am pretty flexible with my schedule and if you have a particular schedule for your pet, I would be able to accommodate the best I can. I will accommodate the best I can for your pet as I would my own. I know how important it is when it comes to safety.

About: I grew up owning pets of all kinds and played a significant role in the care and education of them from an early age. Whether it was cleaning up their messes, bathing them, walking them, feeding them, or breeding cocker spaniels, it was something I loved to do. I was taught that our pets were family and so I will treat yours like my best friends at the very least. I find it difficult to leave my little buddy when I leave town, so you can rest assured yours will be given the same care I expect from whomever I leave in care of my pets. I don't want them to sit in a crate all day and night, I expect for them to get the exercise and attention they need to grow and feel loved.

About: I grew up with cats and dogs, and currently have a cat of my own. I have been taking care of pets for friends and family (and the occasional job) for roughly 10 years now. I am most comfortable with cats and dogs, but I have experience with chickens, guinea pigs, and fish as well. I am comfortable taking care of just about any animal if given directions. Please don’t hesitate to reach out and ask :) I finished school, but do not start my professional job until the fall! Therefore I am very flexible and I can accommodate whatever schedule you need your pet to be on. I do not host pets because I have a cat of my own, but at a client’s house, I am more than happy to do whatever makes them feel comfortable in terms of safety, trust, etc. I will do any number of check in’s with you (ex. send a picture of your pet once a day, once a visit, text you updates only if needed). Unless explicitly stated by the client (ex. “you can help yourself to anything in the fridge”), I treat their home as I would a workplace- come in to do my job, dont interfere with anything that does not directly have to do with that.
