“Sierra was so good with our dogs! Her visits were timely and she really seemed tuned in to what the dogs needed and how they were doing. The regular updates and going above and beyond, such as brining in packages or checking on the welfare of our other animals, was amazing.”

“Liliana came for a meet and greet and was very kind and was kind and attentive. She watched Archie for an hour, walked him and gave him lunch. We felt comfortable knowing he was in great hands!”

“Melissa was a lifesaver! We were already out of town when our planned pup-sitter had to unexpectedly cancel the morning of! I had never used Rover but had no other options and I’m just so glad I did! I requested an immediate visit and Melissa was right on it! Within the hour I had pics of my doggo living her best life and the text communication was beyond what I could’ve imagined. I was updated when she accepted our request, when she was on her way, multiple times while she was here during her 30 minute visit, and when she was heading out. I was so at peace knowing my girl was being loved on and taken care of even by a complete stranger who I just felt so comfortable with from the very beginning. Will absolutely request Melissa’s services again! So so grateful!”

“Lillian was very helpful with my animals. She was on time for each visit and did some extra playing with my animals which I really appreciate she communicated with me very well if she wasn’t sure about anything, but she did an amazing job and my animals loved her. Definitely will be booking with her again.😊😊😊😊😊”

“Highly recommend Timothy! I needed last minute help with my 2 pups (lab and great dane) and it was perfect! The boys were taken care of and happy! Great communication and on time for my appointment! I will be using him again for sure!!!!! 10 🌟!!!!!”

About: I had a a mixed breed dog she lived until she was about 11 years old. She had a heart murmur and a really bad knee so I know how to help support a dog that might have health problems or mobility issues. I have taken care of another larger dog of border collie blue heeler mix that has battled dislocating hips, throwing out her back and cancer. She is 11 now I have worked with a senior Great Pyrenees and I know these aren’t dogs, but I have taken care of multiple rescue animals from anything from fish all the way up to a cat and I have nursed every single one of them back to health so I do have experience giving animals medicines My schedule is a little bit all over the place. I never really know exactly what days I am off or not but as of right now, I should be available between 11 a.m. to about 2 PM but depending on the day I can work later I will make sure that your pet will not get into anything. It’s not supposed to make sure your pet does not escape your house. I will follow your instructions of how you want me to take care to your pet if your pet is to be let outside in a gate I will make sure that the gate is locked and secured if your dog needs to be chained outside. I will make sure that the chain and whatever it is secure to is stable and the dog will not get loose. I will ensure your pet safety if I’m walking your dog or if it’s in your house, I will make sure that no other animal comes after your pet. If I am at your home, I’m not gonna let anybody into your home that you do not personally know and without your verbal consent that that person can enter your home.

About: Hi, I'm Cassy! As a lifelong dog lover, I understand that pets are family. Over the years, I've had the privilege of caring for four wonderful dogs from their playful puppy days through their senior years. That experience has taught me that every pet has a unique personality, routine, and set of needs—and I believe they deserve care that's tailored just for them. Now that my sweet senior dog has crossed the Rainbow Bridge, I have the time, flexibility, and desire to help other pet owners have peace of mind while they're away. Although I miss having a dog of my own, caring for yours is a wonderful way for me to continue doing something I truly enjoy. I specialize in planned vacation and travel care and currently offer drop-in visits, feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, companionship, medication administration, and individualized care based on your pet's specific routine. Whether your pet needs a leisurely stroll, extra patience as a senior, medication on schedule, or a special feeding routine, I'll care for them with the same attention and compassion I gave my own. At this time, I do not offer boarding in my home, overnight house sitting, or recurring daily visits. My focus is helping families who need dependable care while they're away on vacation, traveling for work, or attending special events. I'm a mature, dependable, and trustworthy professional who understands the importance of communication. I'll treat your home with respect, provide updates during my visits, and make sure your pets feel safe, loved, and well cared for until you return. I'd be honored to care for your furry family members and look forward to meeting you and your pets! Pet care fits naturally into my schedule because I have a flexible work routine. I intentionally accept only the bookings that I know I can fully commit to, allowing me to provide dependable, individualized care without overbooking myself. I specialize in planned vacation and travel care rather than recurring daily visits, so when I accept a booking, your pet becomes one of my priorities. I schedule my day around their feeding times, walks, medications, playtime, and companionship to keep their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I also believe great communication is an important part of quality pet care. While you're away, I'll send thoughtful updates and photos so you can relax knowing your fur baby is happy, safe, and well cared for. My goal is to keep you informed and reassured without overwhelming you with constant messages. My priority is for you to enjoy your time away with confidence, knowing your pet is receiving attentive, reliable care from someone who genuinely loves spending time with animals. At this time, I provide care in my clients' homes through drop-in visits and dog walking only. I do not currently offer boarding or pet sitting in my home because I have three resident cats who are accustomed to a quiet home environment. When caring for your pet, my goal is to maintain their normal routine as closely as possible. I'll follow your instructions for feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, medications, and any special care your pet requires. I also make time for affection and companionship, because I know every pet has different emotional needs while their family is away. I'll treat both your pet and your home with the same respect and care I would expect for my own, and I'll keep you updated with photos and messages so you can enjoy your time away knowing your furry family member is happy, safe, and well cared for.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Clyo. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
