“Cynthia is absolutely awesome! She is great with Tucker and leaves you very detailed and funny rover cards. She sends plenty of pictures and videos so I know my baby is having fun and enjoying her company!”
“We couldn’t be happier with the amazing care our dog received while we were away on vacation. Lauren went above and beyond to make sure our pup felt loved, comfortable, and well-exercised every single day. It gave us such peace of mind knowing our dog was in such capable and caring hands. From daily walks and playtime to thoughtful updates and photos, everything was handled with professionalism and genuine love for animals. Our dog absolutely adored her and it showed! We came home to a happy, relaxed pup, which says everything about the quality of care provided. We are so grateful and highly recommend Lauren’s services to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, kind, and truly exceptional with dogs!”

About: Taking care of dogs and cats has been my specialty since I was a child! I have had 8 dogs of all kinds, as well as 10 cats, not including my grandmother’s. My family and neighbors would trust me to feed and water their pets while they were away. I am great at crating puppies and socializing feral/young kittens. It’s always a pleasure to brush or bathe pets depending on their size! I am working a part-time job at Petsmart so my day is already filled with furry faces! But I will still have plenty of days where I can come take care of your puppy or kitty! My schedules are usually two weeks out so I have plenty of notice of when I am free. Contact me of a day when you’d like me to care for your pet and I will let you know the earliest I am available that day! Unfortunately I am not in a position to invite pets into my home… I am figuring out my living situation and will update this section when I have a suitable place for pets to visit!

“Christy is a gem! My dog saw her coming and was so excited to see her because he knew he was about to get a great walk! From my six-year-old lazy St. Bernard to my one year-old newfi/St. Bernard mix who has enough energy for five puppies, she knows how to handle both of them. The puppy is in training and she’s very good at reinforcing what he’s learning. I am so glad I found her!”
About: Hi I'm Ryan! I've worked professionally in the animal industry for 5 years. I started my journey as a dog handler at a daycare. Now I'm currently a dog groomer, walker, and sitter. I also have 6 dogs myself! I have experience looking after dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, reptiles, and exotic pets. I can't wait to meet your fur babies. I have plenty of free time and would like for this to be my full time job for while! I do plan on going to a local college but other than that I'm pretty free for scheduling. I come to your house to make it easier on your pets. I'll stop in a couple times a day to feed, water, let them go outside, and play with them. I'll make sure your babies are not lonely when you are gone. I also offer luxury walks for your pups so they can get the exercise they need to stay happy and keep you happy.
“I’ve had such a wonderful experience with Billie! She is consistently punctual, incredibly kind, and communicates well. I always know what’s going on thanks to her thoughtful updates, and she’s great about letting me know of any scheduling changes well in advance — usually at least a week ahead, which I really appreciate. It’s such a relief knowing my dog is in caring, reliable hands. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and genuinely wonderful with pets!”

“Ella was reliable and on time. She communicated in a timely manner and she did wonderful on the walk with my pups. The one has anxiety so he only walks so far down the street. So she walked them a few times and even gave me feedback on if they did #1 or 2. I will hire her again in the future.”

“First, Stephanie far exceeds the service we’ve ever gotten from anyone else. It was a no brainer to choose her after reading all of the stellar reviews. And I’m glad that we did because we definitely weren’t disappointed. No need looking elsewhere else. Stephanie’s the only person we’ll trust with our dogs! Second, WHAT A RELIEF!! My 2 sweet rescues don’t do well being left home alone for more than a few hours. I LOVE THE FREEDOM that a visit from Stephanie gives me. She 100% babied both of my dogs. And the best part is that both dogs greeted me in great moods, AND there was neither pee on the carpet nor dog beds ripped to shreds waiting for me. It takes a village when you have special needs rescues like I do. We love you Miss Stephanie!!”

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.
Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Cly. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.
For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Cly.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cly. On Rover:
- 95% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
