“Winnie loves her walks with Amanda! Amanda has been wonderful, great communication and always shares cute pictures. She’s been able to adjust schedule as needed. Highly recommend!”

About: Hi!! Along with my great love for pets and animals in general, I have a dog (yorkiepoo 8 y/o) who I am the sole caretaker for. Also, I have been pet sitting (coming by to walk/feed/hang out with) for a family with two dogs (labrador 7 y/o, retriever 9 y/o) for about 5 years. Lastly, I often spend days/weeks pet/house sitting for family with pets who take medicine daily and need regular exercise! I am a student at UVA, but am home for the summer looking to spend time doing something I love (being with animals)! I have another job as a server, but my schedule is very flexible and easy to adjust so I am often available! In your home, I make sure to solely focus on your pet and their needs and nothing else. If needed/asked, I can crate your pets or make sure they have everything necessary in there, along with making sure there are no choking hazards or anything like that.

“Dakota connects well with our dog Patrick and is able to re-direct him when he wants to just turn around and come home. Our pup can be just one small ball of over excitement and exuberance and they handle that well. Dakota has been very reliable and always lets me know if he needs to adjust the time a bit.”

“Miriah is a great communicator and a clear lover of animals! Churro took to her as soon as she came to the house for our meet and greet. Despite heavy rains rolling through, she took him for a nice long walk and made sure he was comfortable. I will happily book her again, and I know Churro would be excited to see her!”

About: I have provided care for many pets from my former teachers, neighbors, family and word of mouth. Both my pets have lived to be seniors and watched senior pets as well. I worked at an animal hospital for about 2 years before moving to this area. I am familiar with giving medications and following instructions on feeding due to allergies and stomach concerns in dogs. I am experienced with reactive dogs and protective dogs when entering the home. I am mostly able to do daily check ins in morning-midday. My work schedule varies, so just ask I can try to work something out! I will meet or chat with you prior to meeting your pup or cat and learn there favorite snacks, toys and walk routes. I want then to be comfortable with me.

About: I've been taking care of dogs and cats for friends and neighbors for around three years now. My family has two cats and two dogs that I've helped care for and train since they were young. I also have experience with older animals and their needs since one of my dogs and one of my cats are twelve. I currently don't have any other summer employment, so my schedule is open. I am available mornings, afternoons and late evenings every day of the week and weekends, just not for overnight care. I can stop by throughout the day to feed, play with, and let out animals. I can also do short or long walks with dogs or even cats!

“I'm very thankful to have found Emil. I work in retail and consequently work almost every weekend. Emil walks my little chihuahua for me every Saturday and Sunday. He's very reliable and I never worry that he won't be able to make it. He also responds to any requests or questions very quickly. I wholeheartedly recommend Emil if you need someone to help care for your pups!”

About: Hi! We’re a family of 6 with two in college who are home for the summer and are excited to help. We also have a 15 year old daughter who adores all animals and a 6 year old who loves to play and throw balls for more active dogs and fill in with lots of extra love. There is almost always someone home as I am also home for the summer and my husband works from home a few days/ week. Our main goal is to make sure your dog feels comfortable and happy to be here. I work just 3 mornings per week during the school year and my husband has a flexible schedule, often working from home, so there is almost always someone here to care for and keep the dogs company. We have a fenced in back yard and a great neighborhood for walks. We are very pet friendly, as we allow them on sofas and wherever they are comfortable :)

About: I’ve taken care of small to medium sized dogs, fish, and cats since I was 15 years old. I have also taken care of reptiles for my friend. I focus on making sure that pets are clean, fed, happy, and healthy. I grew up with several cats, a fish, and one dog over the years. I am free on weekends all day and 7pm-9pm on weekdays. I work 7am-6pm M-F at my other job. I will always make time to get your pet the care it needs. When I come over to check on your pet I check food, water, litter, and any medications. I also make time for walks, pets, and play. I like to give your fur baby the attention they need. I clean up any messes I find when I pet sit so you don’t have to.

About: I grew up on a farm with several dogs and cats so I have always loved being surrounded by animals. Responsible adult who is looking to make some extra money. I have vast experience with animals, including taking care of my own pets and helping to take care of my friends' animals. I currently have two cats and a 5yo Pitt/Australian Shepard mix. I lived with and helped to take care for my past roommate's Great Pyrenees dog for almost 2 years. I have dog-sat for several friends' dogs ranging from a 12 year old Beagle to a 1.5 year old Bernese Mountain dog. Look forward to spoiling your loyal companion! Please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions. My job allows flexibility on Mondays and I do not work on Fridays so I am able to help out as often as needed on those days. Unfortunately other days I am working my full time job so have very limited availability. Will come to your pet so that they are comfortable in their own environment. Not currently offering services that would require pets to be in my home.

About: Hi! My name is Riley and I'm a 20-year-old nursing student originally from South Carolina. Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up on a farm raising and caring for different animals, so caretaking has always come naturally to me. As of now, I have 4 dogs back at home and 1 dog currently residing with me. What sets me apart is my lifelong experience with all types of animals, my reliability, and how much I truly love caring for them. I understand how important it is to find someone to trust with your pets. I'm very communicative, respectful of each pet's/owner's unique needs, and can confidently handle anything from a laid-back walk to giving medications or handling multiple pets simultaneously. Whether it's daily walks, playtime, or overnight stays, I'll treat your pup(s) like family! Pet care is at the center of my daily life! Rover is my full-time job, which allows me to dedicate my full attention to the pets I care for. I will be starting nursing school in Fall 2025, but for now, I have a very flexible schedule with plenty of free time to focus completely on your pet’s needs. I live right beside the college campus, surrounded by hiking trails and parks — perfect for daily walks, outdoor adventures, and plenty of playtime. Making sure your pet feels safe, loved, and cared for is always my #1 priority. Whether caring for pets in my home or yours, I focus on creating a safe, comfortable, and loving environment. I follow each pet’s usual routine as closely as possible, including their feeding schedule, exercise needs, and any special instructions you provide. I make sure they get plenty of attention, playtime, and exercise — whether it’s relaxing at home, going for walks, playing in the dog park, or exploring nearby trails. In my home, your pet will also have the opportunity to socialize with my own friendly dog, who loves making new pup friends. I always keep a close eye on behavior and health to make sure they are happy and stress-free. Communication is important to me, so I provide regular updates and photos, so you can feel confident your pet is well cared for while you’re away.

About: I worked at a vet hospital for 6+ years and have been working at the SPCA for almost a year now! Animals are my life. I work at the SPCA, so I am used to handling animals throughout the day. The more time I get to spend with animals, the happier I am. I care for others pets as I would care for my own. I would want someone to treat my pets as their own when they are watching them, so that is the philosophy I follow.

About: I will make sure your dog gets the care, love and personal 1 on 1 attention they need. I do dog walking, as well as games like playing fetch, tug-of-war and hide and sniff. I am experienced with medical needs and diabetic animals as well, and can bring toys for our visit and provide frozen cooked beef liver and frozen cooked beef bone treats and upon request. Im currently working part time, hybred remote as a data scientist. After spending all this time on the computer, I love to go outside and be with dogs when I am not stuck inside. My dog is a Rottiwiler/Border Collie named Kong. She loves to chew on frozen treats and lots of outdoor activity. In my home she has a lot of attention.

About: I've had a large breed dog for 8 years & absolutely love bully breeds. I now have 4 large breed dogs! I am super patient when it comes to raising puppies. Both my adult dogs have very high toy & prey drive so I have experience with high drive dogs. I also have experience with dogs who do not like other dogs or animals. I have experience taking care of cats as I occasionally do drop ins for some cat owners. I used to have a ball python so I am comfortable feeding snakes and other reptiles if needed. I am very flexible with schedules as I am currently not working. I do care for 4 of my own dogs, but can work around them if needed. I will crate your dogs if its needed and keep them separated if needed. If there is a potty accident in the house I will clean it up for you. I'll feed the pets if needed and make sure the water is clean and fresh. I have experience with intact dogs and will make sure to keep females and males separate if needed to ensure no accidental litters happen.
