“Adrienne was awesome! Our foster dog, Lucky absolutely loves her. On our initial visit, she was very thorough to learn all about Lucky and with setting expectations on her upcoming drop-in visits. It really set our minds at ease since this was our first pet sitting experience in some time. Adrienne provided photos and logged the activities on her visits which was also really great and made for a worry-free experience. I highly recommend her and will definitely be re-booking next time we go away.”

“Josie was very responsive and even sent me updates and photos when her app wasn’t working. She went above and beyond! Would definitely book with her again - my cat seemed happy!”

About: Animal Lover and Canine Extraordinaire Hi, my name is Chasity Huff, and I am currently living in Terre Haute, IN. I am from Northwest Indiana, and I have a huge passion for animals. I am working toward becoming a vet assistant. I have worked at a vet hospital and at a horse stable. I get along with all animals big or small. It would be my privilege to take care of your precious pets for you and spoil them with love and affection. I walk big or small dogs. So give me a call or text, and let me take care of your awesome pets. :) I work my night job through Monday through Friday and every other weekend at 3pm to 11:30. If this is not a good time please let me know. My apartment doesn't allow pets, but I grew up always having dogs and miss my fur babies. Cocoa, my german shepherd-black lab mix passed away at the age of 15 in 2018. We grew up together. My chihuahua-beagle mix lives with my dad. She is a shy pup and lovely to snuggle with. When visiting my dad, I enjoy walking her all over the neighborhood. But today I have to settle for taking care of my plants, so I would love to hang out with your furry friend.
About: I've been caring for dogs for over 15 years, and it's something I truly enjoy! I grew up with 3 dogs of my own and I have experience with dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities. Whether it's walks, playtime, feeding, giving medication, or just providing plenty of love and attention, I treat every dog like they're part of my own family. My goal is to make sure your pup feels safe, comfortable, and happy while you're away, so you can have peace of mind knowing they're in caring and responsible hands! I work a full-time hybrid position, therefore I can stay home with your fur babies during the day besides the 2 and/or 3 days I go into the office a week. If I am in the office, I would be able to come let them out on my 1 hour lunch break! I have a fenced in backyard on 2.5 acres and live in a neighborhood that I can walk them in. When I am gone, I can crate them if needed!
“Selena took good care of our dogs! I'm so happy she was available on such short notice since the sitter we had lined up fell through. The pups loved spending time with Selene, as evidenced by the pictures she sent!”

About: Ive been around dogs a lot. I have 3 of my own. One named Hope. She’s more active, and needs alot of playtime. So I’m definitely good at managing that. One name is Oakley, he likes to be babied and cuddled. Ones name is Hank, and he is just the chillest dog haha. I already have dogs so I work 24/7 with my own. I have a lot of time on my hands so I’m free whenever. Anytime you just need a break I can come help, when you’re gone. I’ll do it. I give baths, I walk them, I play ball/fetch with them. I take them potty, feed them, give them treats. I do all the things it takes to take care of a dog, the same way you would treat a baby.

About: I have had my dog millie for 8 years now, which i begged for ever since middle school. I have trained her and she knows all the tricks, so i have experience in training especially when young. She is a vizsla poodle mix and if you know anything about vizslas is that they are very high energy dogs. She has been on many adventures with me and i am always down for some walks. Many family members have relied on me to care for their pups while away on vacations. I have been bathing/grooming my dog myself ever since i’ve had her so i am comfortable with bathing dogs and strong enough to bathe larger dogs. I have also cared for reptiles and have taken care of bearded dragons and leopard geckos if you need other animals cared for as well. I am currently working part time at a dental office as an assistant. I have Fridays plus weekends completely available as well as evenings on week days. My boss takes frequent trips so i also have a lot of free time during those days. I have a vizsla poodle mix that is 8 years old whom i have cared for since she was 6 months old. We also have another vizsla to keep her company and the play often. I have a fenced in backyard and have trained mine to potty on command (it’s routinely at this point). I do not have crates in my home so you will have to bring one if that is preferred. We have gates in the house to keep the puppers away from wandering around at night so there is an option to separate.

I’ve cared for all kinds of furry friends over the years — from ferrets and hamsters to cats and dogs — and I bring that same love and attention to every pet I watch. I currently have three dogs of my own (a German Shepherd and two French Bulldogs) along with two cats, so I’m very comfortable managing different personalities, energy levels, and needs. I take that responsibility seriously by providing dependable care, regular updates, and treating every pet like my own. I'm currently in college full time and work part-time weekends! About: I have experience with a variety of breeds of dogs. I have owned dogs that are super high maintenance, dogs that love to lounge, anxiety ridden dogs, and dogs that are on the spicy side. I understand the different cues of dogs and how to read their body language. I have experience in walking multiple dogs. I also have experience in training dogs. I trained my Shetland Sheepdog for 4H and we made it to the state fair. I also taught him many silly tricks. I can be a professional fetch player or a professional cuddler, whichever your dog prefers. I can also just be a treat giver if your dog prefers space. I am currently working part time as a server, but my schedule is very flexible. I am a recently graduated college student, with the hopes of going to graduate school in the coming semester. Animal trust is very important to me. It is important that I earn you and your animals trust, and we can grow to be best friends or acquaintances if your animal is not into that. I hope to make your time away from your animal as easy as possible.

About: I have worked in the pet industry for 10 years. I have done everything from cleaning kennels, to working as a vet assistant in a clinic. I also have experience with farm and exotic animals. I currently don't have furbabies of my own, but I find them very therapeutic to interact with. Life is boring without furbabies in my life. I will enter the home as instructed by owners, and proceed in a professional manner. I will use my education as a vet assistant and future vet tech to ensure the animal(s) experience minimal upheaval of their daily routines.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
