About: I have had dogs my entire life, and got my own dog when I was 14. Now there are 3 dogs at my house that I take care of during the day. I am attentive to the behavior of dogs and have a general understanding of it. I currently work at a museum on Monday and Tuesday, and am free any other time during the week. I am also a college student, and will be going back to school in late August. I will go on walks, play games and give your dog plenty of attention. Considering I have three dogs at my house, I am not comfortable bringing a client’s dog to my house in case there is a bad reaction to each other.

About: My love of dogs started about 5 years ago when I rescued my first dog. Since then, I have acquired a load of knowledge not only in how to care for them, but also how to train them. I can provide mental and physical stimulation for your furry friend and bring most of my own equipment - I can also use the tools your pet is most familiar with. I can assess your pet to determine what your pet may need for stimulation, make suggestions for daily care, and learn at least some of their body language. My dogs and I are always interacting whenever I'm home, but most of our intentional fun/training happens for about 2-3 hours each day outdoors. This includes both training and walking. I also help some of my friends train their dogs whenever our schedules allow. I believe your dog should ALWAYS be in training and you can make almost any situation a training opportunity. Your pets can be treated as my own and/or according to your specific instructions. Do you have multiple dogs that need to be separated? No problem. Can your dogs be together but need to be supervised so tension doesn't continue to build? I got you covered there too! Does your dog pull too much on walks, need to learn how to act in-doors? I can work with your dog on those things as well in addition to other things!

Over the years, I’ve gained experience house sitting and pet sitting for families and friends, ensuring their pets were happy and well cared for. With my short work shifts and a flexible class schedule, I can easily accommodate your pet care needs. Pets' safety is always my top priority when pet sitting. Ensuring a pet’s safety in their own home requires attentiveness and preparation. I carefully follow owner’s instructions, supervise the pet closely, and make sure the environment is free of hazards. I've also worked with many anxious pets in the past so I understand that they may need a little more care and closeness. I can mend, cuddle and play with all type.but snakes sorry I can't do that. My soon to be husband also loves animals such as I do because they also help with mental health. Emotional support and therapy dogs are a real thing and they do help. Just like the little young lady that found last months wonder the roads of Amelia County covered fleas and ticks and no tags or nothing she now how's her forever home . Just ever day thing for more I come home ever 2 to 3 hours to let mine out. DUE to the current job I currently have once this jobs takes off my plan is.to do this full time for all animals. We have fenced in back yard with 3 acrea with it in the middle of the Amelia that has been forgotten about. About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 10. We currently have 2 large dogs. I can administer medication. I have a very flexible schedule. My schedule is very flexible since I have a 2.5yr old daughter. My husband is also home about 50% of the month which makes my schedule even more flexible. I have taken care of all different sizes and breeds of dogs and cats since I was a kid. Both of my dogs are rescues who needed some extra love to acclimate when they came home.

About: I am a former police Richmond Police Officer who has worked with and cared for dogs since age 12 in many settings. Aside from my parents and grandparents raising dogs, I worked several hundred hours of community service in a dog boarding and dog training facility in upstate New York prior to them hiring me as a teen to continue there after completing the hours. I trained our own family dogs are well as friend’s dogs even in my teen years. I have raised and shown bulldogs for the last 10 years and my daughter has grown to develop a passion for caring for dogs as well. She’s turning into a little dog whisperer and I love fueling the passion her and I share. As we are in a transitioning time and creating plans for the future, I would like to provide trusting care for dog owners in the community that value the care and safety of their dogs while they have obligations or vacations where they need to arrange accommodations for their beloved dogs. Rather than having someone who walks your dog with no real concern for bettering the quality of life of the dog in a way their owner can recognize, I would like to provide care with structure and stimulation in a safe environment so dog owners can know their dog thrived and was well exercised and cared for while they were away. Pet care is a main part of every day for me whether it be for our own dogs or dogs of friends. I will be offering my services for weekends and holidays until further changes can be made. We have a few acres and a fenced in area for dogs to run off leash as well. We are currently working on creating a larger fenced yard as well. When I am caring for someone’s pet in my home, they’re are treated as our own loved dog. We have structured days where they are inside hanging out as well as receiving plenty of exercise in the yard. Depending on the client and the dog I enjoy spending time working on manners and walking with a leash while dogs are in my care so owners see the difference. We have several crates and the ability to accommodate for dogs that may need to be kept separate from other dogs or have special needs as well. I offer to care for clients’ dogs both at my own home or at theirs, based on client preference. My goal is to provide a quality service that clients and their dogs trust and enjoy long term.

“Heather has done a midday walk, an evening feeding and evening walk for us. She was flexible when I needed to make changes, always showed up on time and sent photos and notes about her time with our dog. And he loves her! I will definitely have her help us out again!”
