About: Hi, Everyone! My name is Cara. Thank you for visiting my page. My strong admiration for animals has only grown more with the more animals I meet and as a result, it brings me genuine happiness. It is a rewarding experience to be able to take care of any animal that needs it while their owner is away. Since starting Rover in August 21’, I’ve had 10+ repeat clients and have established great friendships with families/people in the community as a result. I have a M-F teaching position 8am-4pm. A half hour lunch long lunch where I can leave to care for your furries in the middle of the day depending on the distance. Dogs will be crated when I’m not home. A little history: I grew up with a miniature schnauzer (Zoie) whom towards the end of her life, needed constant supervision and was administered medicine 3x/ day, grooming/washing daily. I was always there to comfort her until the end of her life and spoiled her beyond belief. Myself and my family provided care to my mini schnauzer for over 12 years. As a child, I never had a dog sitter to send updates, pictures/videos for my sweet Zoie when my family would travel, so I strongly understand the importance of quick and reliable communication/sending updates while you’re away. Experience - administering medicine/injections - cats, big dogs, small dogs, senior animals, special needs pets, pigs, cows, chickens. -exercise/run with your pet -hospice/end of life care (Repositioning every hour, hand feeding, massages, cooking packs, frozen bone broth snacks on warmer days, the list goes on) Pets and animals deserve to be spoiled but most importantly, they deserve to be loved. I have a white fur baby (Minnie). Shes a loyal, sweet and well behaved dog, I’m so lucky and thankful for her every day as she brings me so much happiness. She stays at home with her other best friend, my significant other while I’m away. My home comes equipped with accessiblity tools like pet stairs & ramps suitable for even larger dogs. Our quarter acre is unfenced, but we do have a small enclosed area off the porch & several long leads to enjoy more of the grassy lawn. Safety is paramount. About: Iv been a pet owner of both dogs and cats since I was 9. We also grew up with many exotic animals (lizards, iguanas, sugar gliders and bunnys to name a few). I currently have 2 verry friendly small dogs and 1 cat. I am a stay at home mom. Who homeschools my 9 year old child which help me be verry flexible with my schedule. My kiddo loves to help me with the pets we care for when the owner allows! If you pet is not kid friendly that is okay as I can leave her with childcare during your pets time.(please mention this ahead of time) I enter every care session with tons of love for every pet. About: Aside from over 20 years of experience caring for my own family pets, I have majored veterinary science, have worked in a veterinary clinic, and have previously provided foster care for sick, injured, malnourished, pregnant, nursing, and infant dogs. As such, I am able to handle any situation that may arise with your pet. I am comfortable administering medications and treatments if needed. I am willing to provide basic grooming services such as bathing, brushing, nail trimming, and ear cleaning for an additional fee. I enjoy spending time outdoors, so you can be confident your dog will have plenty of walking and outdoor play time with me. I am happy to care for a wide variety of pets, not just dogs.
