“the sweetest and most responsible cat sitter ever. after forgetting to leave my key under the mat and asking my landlord to do it, Brianna made sure to swing back and check on my kitty and updated me the entire time. she’s honestly amazing and very responsive! highly highly recommend!”

“Emily did a great job! The photos she sent me when I was out of town demonstrated that my cats were relaxed and happy. She even got a picture of my very skittish kitty sitting on a rug and that was a major accomplishment! Everyone was well taken care of while I was out of town. I highly recommend Emily and I will use her the next time I’m out of town.”

About: I have taken care of two or more dogs at a time for my whole life, and spent much of my childhood taking care of my grandmothers farm animals too. I’m no stranger to virtually any dog breed, and can handle all types of temperaments. With over a decade of these experiences, I am the best person to care for your precious fur babies! I am graduated and a part time employee, and I am very flexible with plenty of room for time with your pets that meets your needs. I would care for pets and someone else’s home as if they were my own. I greatly value respect, and would maintain this will rules regarding both, while meeting any accommodations of the client.
About: I have cared for animals my entire life, including a Labrador, several chihuahuas, and mixed breed cats. I have also volunteered at several animal shelters, working with dogs and cats of various sizes. I am fearless when it comes to cleaning up bathroom breaks and other various incidents. I love playing with animals and making sure that they get their daily dose of exercise, because it is just as important for them as it is for humans. I take great pleasure in helping those that are completely helpless without the kindness of people. I am an activist in the animal community, working with shelters to help them spread awareness about adoption and helping pets find their forever home. I have just moved to a new city, and freelance jobs like this are exactly what help me keep dinner on the table. Right now, I have more time than I know what to do with. I feed my own twice a day, and I have three with very different diets, and I clean out their litter boxes daily. Of course, pet care includes play time, which they receive daily through playing with teaser toys and doing tricks for treats--what few tricks they would learn! I can provide any and all specialized care because each animal is an individual and requires something different to live a healthy, happy life. I can take dogs on walks as often as needed and play with them to help release pent-up energy. I am meticulous about logging when I do what for each pet I am pet-sitting, and I am more than willing to share such a log with the owner if they would like.
About: I grew up helping take care of my own pets. Not only have i taken care of my own pets but I have also helped take care of my friends' pets. I feed, walk, play, and care for dogs and cats. I am available early mornings before 6:45 am, afternoons 2pm-3pm, and evenings after 4:00 pm on Monday through Friday to walk your pet and/or provide other care. There are a few evenings (Monday and Wednesday) and times on the weekend where I have other commitments but I would work with your pet schedule the best I can! Unfortunately I am unable to provide care for pets in my place since my apartment does not allow pets. I can however provide overnight care for your pet in the comfort of your home! I will make sure that your pet is cared for as you would care for them. I kindly ask that you write down instructions on how to care for your pet, if you feel the need to do so. I understand that pet care varies from pet to pet. I appreciate you greatly for this!
About: I have owned dogs, cats, reptiles and birds. I love animals. Know that your pet will be more than taken care of! When you leave your pet with me know that you can walk away worry free! I can give your pet undivided attention on a day to day basis. I love all animals and know about the bond you have with your pet. I take this seriously and know that each pet needs specific things. I can give that care! In your home- whatever instructions that are given, I will comply and see to it that those instructions are carried out to the letter! Your pet will always be safe with me! My home- same goes. I will carry out your instructions. Your pet will be more than safe. I always make it a priority to ensure that safety comes first. We must all strive to keep our pets safe under all circumstances and I more than understand that.

“Chelsea is a very compassionate, caring, professional, dedicated, and loving person. Her love and kindness was clear every step of the way. Her ten years of experience as a Vet Technician made a huge difference in the care she offered to my kitties. The sweet presence of her young son also made a wonderful impact. My kitties love both Chelsea and her son. I was expecting very good outcomes from my first booking with Rover, but I didn't know it would be more than fantastic. Before leaving town and being away from my cats for the first time, I was honestly very nervous about leaving them with someone else other than my husband and I, but Chelsea took care of them as if they were part of her family. Our gratitude and love to Chelsea. And thank you so very much Rover for providing us with such an excellent sitter.”

About: I've had pets of all shapes and sizes for my whole life, participating in their care in considerable ways such as bathing, feeding, and clean-up. I'm familiar with breeds as small as chihuahuas and shiatzus, and as large as great danes and cane corsos. I have two cats now, Oscar and Ophelia, who I take very well care of. They want for nothing, except maybe more treats! I’m a stay at home mom preparing to get my online masters in counseling, so I have lots of flexibility to care for your pets. I'm familiar with keeping my eye on animals, even those excitable flight-risks, and am more than diligent when it comes to locking up and providing security for your home and your pet.

We have 2 dogs in the house named Mowgli and Pepper. Mowgli is an extremely friendly Chocolate Lab! He is about 5 years old and he is my BABY! A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
