About: I have several years of professional and independent pet care experience, including dog daycare, pet retail, dog walking, drop-ins, house sitting, overnight care and extended stays. I currently work from home, which gives me flexibility for pets who benefit from having someone around throughout the day, and I’m especially interested in building relationships with regular clients. I previously worked in dog daycare where I cared for groups of up to 75 dogs of all ages, sizes and temperaments. My experience includes feeding, walking, bathing, brushing, crating, administering medications, puppy care, senior care and working with special-needs dogs who require additional attention or accommodations. My professional daycare experience has made me very comfortable reading animal body language, recognizing stress or changes in behaviour and safely managing pets with very different temperaments. I’m also comfortable administering medications and caring for pets with more specific routines or needs. When house sitting or staying overnight, I’m very respectful of my client’s home and make sure everything is cared for while they’re away, not just their pet!
