“Caitlyn was wonderful with my dad's dog. She was on time, reliable, stayed in good communication with great pics to show how much the dog enjoyed her walk and play time. It was a huge help, since my dad has had health challenges which interfered with good dog walks. Five stars!”

About: Currently I have 2 dogs that are my little fur babies! I grew up working for my parents dog kennel for boarding and grooming which I've helped work at for many years. My parents also bred and showed specific dog breeds; therefore I am comfortable with dogs of all ages. I have experience walking, feeding, playing, grooming, and training all types of dogs. I've experienced many litters of puppies and helped out as they grew to full size adult dogs. I enjoy being around dogs and know how to handle most situations that you could think of. I'm very knowledgable and have also shown dogs in dog shows. If you are looking for a patient and responsible dog sitter I would love to meet your dog and help out with whatever types of things you would like to be done. Thank you again for your consideration. I am a teacher in St.Mary’s county; therefore I am not home during the hours of 7-5 during the school year; however, I am off during most government holidays. I try to keep the routines and schedules that you have set for your pet while I am watching them. I do have a fenced in yard at my home; however, I am comfortable with walking your pet as well.

She also sent plenty of pictures and reported back on how he was acting on his walks which made us feel more comfortable as well. I’d definitely use her again.”

“Coming across Laura is the best thing we have had happen! I know our pup is well cared for and happy to have her come walk her! Every picture Laura sends out dog seems to be smiling ear to ear! About: Hi, my name is Maryfrances . I can't remember a time in my life when I haven't had a pet. I grew up with a cat and about 8 years ago we added a chocolate lab to the family. I have tons of experience with pets. And also experience with puppies and potty training. I think it's important that animals get lots of attention, going on walks, potty breaks, and play time. I am originally from the United States, when I graduated from high school I went to Amsterdam to work as a nanny. I was taking care of three kids so I am good in a stressful situation! I loved everything about my experience working as a nanny. Now I am back and working an office job. I am a very honest, kind and organized person who loves pets. I work an 8-4 job! I love to be on the move when i’m not at work so your pup will get lots of play time! I have a nice yard and a dog of my own to keep yours company. We often go on walks or to the park to play.
About: I have had animals since I was born. I’ve taken care of. Animals ranging from snakes to rats to fish. I now have six dogs, a cat and some fish. Because I am a college student, I have gotten the opportunity to work with Fidos for freedom a nonprofit which helps train service animals to go to people in need. I have learned commands and how to train dogs to understand those commands and I am now helping to raise two puppies. I have older dogs as well as younger ones and tend to give my senior dogs more love then the puppies because I know they need it (the pups get all kinds of attention). I am a college student coming home for the winter break and I am looking for something to help spend my time before I go back to school. I will be able to take care of any animal as much as I can. I am home from school and I am looking forward to see all kinds of cute animals. I have my own vehicle that I am willing to take any animal in no matter the size or fur. I know how to take pets for walks and the signs of when they go out. If the house has a fenced in yard I make sure to keep and eye on the dog(s) just incase there is a prison break.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
