My background in veterinary medicine allows me to recognize signs of illness or distress and provide attentive, compassionate care. I am dedicated to making pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I’m currently working part time during the summer and have 2 hour lunch breaks which gives me the time to walk or give your furry friends a potty break! I’m also free almost every weekend! I’m willing to be flexible to make sure your dog/cat is taken care of :) Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. “Kathleen was so accommodating and kind to our dogs. It was so comforting to know that our dogs were in our house and well taken care of why we were out of town. She updated us every time she was at the house and before she left and took pictures of them. She even played with them while she was there.”

About: I currently have a cat and understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy to care for your pet. I have worked in nursing homes and provided home healthcare for veterans which has taught me patience, responsibility, and attention to detail. I am also currently attending Wichita State University to earn my degree in Elementary Education. Between caring for people and my love for animals, I am committed to making sure your pet feels safe, happy, and well cared for. Whether your pup needs a walk, or cat needs playtime, or extra attention while you’re away, I’ll treat them like they’re my own. 🐶🐈⬛💕 I’m currently working part-time while attending Wichita State University, but I’m working toward making pet care my full-time focus. My schedule is flexible, and I do my best to accommodate walks, drop-in visits, and pet care throughout the week; I’m happy to help whenever I can. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. As both a pet owner and someone with experience caring for others in nursing homes and home health settings, I understand the importance of trust, responsibility, and attention to detail. I will follow your pet’s routine, respect any special instructions, and make sure they receive plenty of care and attention. I treat every pet as if they were my own and will always keep you updated with photos and messages so you can feel confident while you’re away. 🐾💕
“My GSD is very picky about who she will let in the yard. Athena LOVED Misty. She came and played with her and sent lots of pictures. I've booked her again.”

“I still can’t believe how much our senior dog loves Morgan. And he doesn’t love anyone! She gets the best photos of them, is always great at communicating with us, and seems to love them as her own! We couldn’t recommend Morgan enough.”

About: Trained in dog walking and grooming. Recently moved to back to KS and looking to find pet friends. Also an RN by trade, looking to be more involved in the animal world. Currently, unemployed due to just moving here. I am an RN, but looking to transfer over the to the animal world. I also do yoga! Yard is not fenced, but I live in a gated community. All walks would be on leash by my apartment. I will happily take dogs to a dog park or park to play. Lots of walks!
About: Hi my name is Elly! I’m a huge dog lover I and have been around pets my whole life. I am majoring in elementary education at Butler with almost all of my classes being online, so I have plenty of time to devote to helping other people with their furry friends :) I’ve been dog sitting family and friends’ dogs for years (now been on Rover about 2 years) and I have two of my own. (both friendly) The dog sitting jobs I have done have included 24 hour care and dosing of medications where needed. I can take up to 2 dogs at night, and 3 during the day. We have a large fenced yard that will provide plenty of room. I do have a part-time job but with a week’s notice can schedule around that. I currently work a part time job, 4 days a week. I am never gone for more than 5 hours, but if a dog needs to go potty during that time, I am able to run home quickly over a lunch break :) I have a large fenced in yard. There is a pool that is covered unless someone is outside to supervise any swimming, and a large basement for dogs to run around in!
About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was 8, starting from aquatic pets, reptiles, to common furry in-home pets. I bathe, walk, feed, play, monitor, etc. Your fur baby will be in great hands. Flexible, stacked throughout the day 10am - 9pm Scheduled visits fit daily Pet care in time blocks/Pet care around my day Structured daily pet visits I follow each pet’s routine with feeding, fresh water, potty or litter care, playtime, and any special instructions. I keep pets safe, comfortable, and happy while providing updates to owners.
About: I’m exceptional in training puppies, cats and dogs. If necessary I can discipline although I prefer positive encouragement towards good behaviour with rewards. I love teaching commands using an animals favourite treat or a clicker, whichever is more effective. When it comes to older animals it’s critical for me to be aware of and understand their history. Dietary restrictions, sleeping/eating habits, medication and application processes, etc. I love all animals but ultimately will treat them as family with the love and support they each deserve. I’m currently working as a part time Youth Director at a local church so I have plenty of time throughout my days to play with and care for your furrr babies. My main goal currently is to fill in the gaps of my day to day with joy and happiness that only pets can bring. We all need something to look forward too to make life enjoyable and for me right now that’s figuring out how to play with as many animals as possible to make sure they’re all loved while you’re away. Our home has as expansive enclosed back yard for dogs to run around in and play or simply take a potty break. Our living room and kitchen area are great open places for cats to explore and the basement is very clean and comfortable as well. Although, I prefer to go to a cats home instead because as you know being a cat owner most cats dislike change of environments or any change in general for that matter. When it comes to walks I like to take as many precautions as viable. Dog parks are available and accessible more so during the day. There are plenty of nearby parks in my neighbourhood as well as bike paths and sidewalks. I’m open to any suggestions for locations or preferred methods of transportation as some animals dislike car rides so a simple walk around the block would suffice. I take any and all advice seriously when it comes to the attention and care of your animal.
About: I’m 28 years old and love animals. I have one kitten at home and have experience as a house-sitter outside and inside of Rover. I keep things tidy and make sure you know your animal is cared for and loved while you’re away. I will treat your pet like I treat my own - with empathy, gentle direction, and kindness… and lots of treats. 🩷 If you have any questions at all, please let me know. I have my own cat, so I’m caring for her daily. I also care for my parents’ dogs around once or twice a week. On Rover, I will do my due diligence to ensure your pet is happy and healthy. Currently I take care of my own cat daily. I clean her box daily and give her chicken as a topper to her Purina One. I also take care of my mom’s dogs. When on Rover, I work around my job and care for them completely around my schedule. I find time around my own pet and yours. I’ll make sure your pet is clean, fed, brushed, played with, and pet.
“Alayna was very attentive to my 3 shy cats, they quickly bonded with her while I was gone for over a week. Alayna shared detailed updates and photos, and took care of all their needs and would reach out for any questions. I will definitely book her again on future trips!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 184 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Cheney. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cheney. On Rover:
- 97% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 91% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
