Lynnette was great!! We connected easily at our meet-up and it put me at ease since this was my first time using Rover. We needed a little extra care since our kitty had some recent health issues and Lynn was available to meet the need of 2 visits per day. She communicated well while we were away assuring us that everything was ok with our boy. I would totally book her again if the need arises!!

Alexandria did a great job with my kitty, Bea. When I got home Bea was calm, happy, fed, and her long hair was brushed. She sent photos and videos. The house was tidy! She even put out the trash for trash day. I would ask Alexandria to Bea-sit again.

Nora is wonderful! She was willing to have a meet and greet prior to the service and she was very receptive and followed all my instructions! Knowing that she currently has a growing puppy, made me feel that she would be able to handle my 7 month old Lab! She gave check in reports and asked questions when she was unsure about something. If you are thinking on a sitter or walker, Nora is it!

My cat, Charlie, is very shy and cautious. Nick has been super patient with getting him on his good side! Charlie has warmed up to him so much, especially with this last visit. I always get so many pictures and videos which is something any pet parent would appreciate!

About: I have never gone without having pets. Growing up we had as many as 20 animals in total. I always strive to have a personal relationships with every animal I can. Have worked with training puppies and kittens as well as spending time with seniors. Love all animals but particularly my big dogs! I am new to the area and wanting to get to know neighbors and Texas! Figured playing and walking pets would blend the best of both worlds to do that. I will ensure to keep pets safe and secure while being mindful of each pet family. At my home I ensure all doors and gates are shut and on walks harnesses and leashes are secure.

Miss V was wonderful! She communicates so often with lots of photos! We gave her lots of instructions for our somewhat complicated pups haha. She followed them to a tee and asked questions to make sure she was thorough. We will definitely be repeat customers!

About: I've had dogs as long as I can remember. I enjoy caring for their needs, taking them on walks, giving them treats, and just caring for them in general. I currently work in schools during the morning and early afternoon, but I'm available for your pet's needs every week day after 2:30pm and all through Saturday. I can take your dog or dogs for regular walks, letting them get outside and stretch their legs. I'll see to it they don't go where they're not supposed to go, however.

About: I have a lifelong passion for caring for cats and dogs. I've had cats all my life and currently have a 15-year-old dog and 2 indoor/outdoor cats. I've also volunteered in dog boarding at a local business, where I was responsible for taking all the dogs out to potty at night. Your pets will be in loving and experienced hands! I am currently a stay at home Mom. So your pets will have cuddles and plenty of play time throughout the day! I typically start my morning at 6:30. So early morning risers are no problem for me! I live in a 2 story house and have plenty of space for your fur baby. I can make any accommodations to make your baby comfortable in your home or mine. Whether it be crating or separating animals I will make sure they are happy and safe!

For frequent return customers free run may be available depending on the animals proven training. ( for regular customers I can also work on training commands for an additional charge just ask me about it!!) I do crate when needed( I need to step out to the store ect) or preferred. About: I have been raising and caring for a variety of animals for over 25 years! Having experience with all kinds of animals, I know the importance of meeting the needs of each animal and giving it the love and care it deserves and desires. I have several families that reach out to me when they are planning a trip so that I can care for their pets while they are away. I understand the importance of maintaining the pet owners routine, commands, and affection with their pets to help reduce anxiety and stress while they are away. My goal is to love their pets as if they are my own. I have cared for our own dogs as seniors and have experience with failing body functions and know how to administer medications and assist the animal with getting up and moving around. I also have much experience with puppies since I breed Australian Shepherds and care for the puppies from the time they are born until they are at an appropriate age and health standard to go to their new families. I am so excited to meet many other pet families in our area and love on your pet so you can feel comfortable and at peace any time you need to travel and your pet has to stay behind. It’s hard enough to say good-bye, so having peace of mind on how they will be cared for while you are away can make a good trip a GREAT one!! I am available most days of the week for 24/7 care since we are a homeschooling family and I am a stay at home mom. Pets are allowed in our home as long as they get along well with other pets and children. I do have an in-ground fence and collars that I can use to teach your pet to stay in our yard. I also have two nice size kennels that give dogs plenty of room to wander inside and outside the kennel walls.

About: I’ve been around a lot of animals in my life and I have worked with dogs to a whole room of reptiles at a camp. I lived along side a parrot most my life and cats as well. I have been pet sitting for a lot of my life for friends, neighbors, and family! I pride myself on my love for animals and my ability to bond with them. I’m happy to do anything asked of me as well to make it easy for the pet owners and easier for the pets. I currently do not have a job because I left teaching to further pursue something I love which would be animals. Besides doing little trips here and there, I will be available most days, especially the mornings and evenings (so morning walks and evening walks for bed time). I can stay over night at houses as well. I am, of course, fine with weekends as well! I am working on making this my career as much as I can. I am trying not to have to go too far from home for dog walking but house sitting and pet sitting I’m fine to go farther especially when staying at the house there. It will cost more though. I am good with crating and good with most size animals. I work with all sizes. I love to interact and love on the animals instead of just going in, feeding and letting them out and that’s it. Unless for some reason your animal doesn’t want loving, I will do what they prefer. I also am always willing to brush your fluffy babies, I can help with that as well! I will only have myself and no other animal with me because I will not bring an animal to my home. I will like to meet and greet just to make sure I and the animal will get along okay.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
