“Rachel is absolutely wonderful with the pets that she keeps. Our family was in kind of pickle because my dad was hospitalized and needed someone to care for his furry companion while he was away. I found Rachel and her service and was relieved as soon as I started corresponding with her. felt right at home the moment I dropped her off. Cannot say enough at how well Rachel communicated during her stay with messages and photos. Rachel was a godsend!! Thank you so much Rachel!!!”
“Anthony was a great sitter for our dog Blue. Blue has difficult feeding habits and Anthony was able to feed him well. We will be sending Blue to Anthony in the future.”
“We dropped off our golden retriever Jerry with Elisabeth while staying with friends in Chesterfield. Elisabeth and her family were great - Jerry got plenty of exercise and they kept us updated on his adventures each day. Would happily board with them again. Thank you!”
“Davey has been excellent with Clifford! He's been a lifesaver for me while I'm going through a difficulty and am needing some last-minute dog boarding. Clifford is excited when he gets to go back and seems to be very well taken of! I would definitely recommend Davey to my friends/family!!”
“I hesitate to leave this review only because I want to keep Lorri for myself! She was so good with our dog! Winnie is blind and due to this has separation anxiety when we leave her and a little generalized anxiety in new situations. Within a day, Lorri had her wearing a cute little sweater to keep warm on walls (which Winnie refuses to wear for me), had her cuddling on the couch and even took her for walks in a store! I know Winnie was comfortable with her because she was clearly relaxed in the many photos and videos we got while we were away. Lorri is the best!”
“Aurora had a great time in Gloria’s house! The attention to detail and daily updates through text and pictures left us really at ease and comfortable with the level of care. Highly recommend and would definitely contact her again!”
“Carly & Doug were excellent in taking care of our fur baby. I recommend them to anyone who would like to have top notch care for their fur babies. Thank you so much!!”
“Awesome....does more need to be said lol...always kept me updated and responded to my messages and my pup had a blast he got plenty of attention and lovins...he can't wait to go back ?”
“The peace of mind I have when I leave my puppy with Caitlin and Adam is invaluable. We were gone for almost 2 weeks and I never had a single concern. They take such good care of Jet!”
“Melissa and family kept us constantly updated with our pup during her stay and were incredibly understanding when our flight was delayed and pivoted to doing a drop off. We cannot thank them enough for their care of her.”
“Reema was a wonderful host! She took great care of our dog and made us feel completely comfortable while we were away. She is very kind, friendly, and has a lovely backyard where our dog had a great time playing with her dog. We were able to enjoy our trip knowing our dog was in good hands. I highly recommend Reema and would be happy to leave our dog with her again in the future. Thank you so much! 😊🐾💕”
“Evan and Kaleigh are amazing! I was delayed on the drop off day. They were so patient and encouraged me to take my time getting there. We received pictures and updates throughout the duration of our vacation and were playing with the dogs when I picked them up. My pups were so well taken care of that they barely greeted me, which I took as a great sign! Thank you Evan and Kaleigh for giving us the peace of mind during our vacation!”
“Dawn was amazing to work with! She responds to communication quickly, is very friendly, and is a definite dog lover. She watched our 11 month old puppy and three year old dog in her home, and they had a blast! Dawn’s dog, Bailey, was sweet as can be and got along well with our dogs. Dawn sent us pictures while they were there and really loved on them. She opened her home to our dogs and made them feel right at home. I highly recommend Dawn and will use her again.”
“Bryan did an awesome job with Phoebe. His love for animals is obvious. He sent pictures of her to us and made me feel at ease. Will definitely use him again!”
“I felt great about leaving my dogs with Kathryn! Caramel and Samson had a fabulous time. Kathryn was super considerate about giving our family updates/pics, and she couldn’t have been nicer.”
“Nicole and Tim do great with our dog. She ran straight up to the door on drop off and was excited to see them again! Nicole and Tim send frequent updates and pictures and we feel very comfortable that all her needs are met. Would recommend to others looking for someone to care for their pets.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Cedar Hill Lakes home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Cedar Hill Lakes.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Cedar Hill Lakes sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
