“I've used them for boarding before and now Buttercup does Doggie daycare with them and I could not be happier. They are communicative and send updates. I wish I could leave more than 5 stars. Thank you both and your family for loving my Buttercup like she's one of your own!”

About: I’m a huge animal lover 🥰 and have about 14 years of experience caring for dogs. I’ve worked with dogs of all sizes, but mostly smaller breeds. I’ve been around dogs and helping take care of them since I was 11, and I enjoy giving the love, attention, and care they need. I also volunteered at an animals shelter for about 6 months, giving me the chance to work with dogs in need. We have about 4 dogs total in my family, so sometimes I will have 1, or 2, or none at home with me I am new to the city so as of right now, I am not employed. I have open availability to care for all of your pets needs. My weekly routine is pretty simple. I do computer work, play the game, call my family (literally almost every day) and work out from time to time. Animals tend to be pretty comfortable with me. I would love to hang out and spend some time with your pet, maybe watch a series together or go for a walk if the weather is right. I’m a Starbucks type of a girl, so pup cups are always an option
About: As a proud four-legged mom, I take pet care very seriously and treat every dog like my own. I’m available every day as a stay-at-home mom, which gives me plenty of time to dedicate to your pets. I have two sweet, well-trained dogs of my own, Jadore and Jiovanni, who are the friendliest pups you’ll ever meet. I even have special days where I cook dog-friendly meals—because making pets feel loved and cared for is so important to me. When I look after your pets, they’ll be treated like family with lots of love, attention, and care. Pet care fits into my daily routine very naturally because it’s something I’m already doing every single day. As a stay-at-home mom and dog mom, I structure my day around making sure my two dogs, Jadore and Jiovanni, are happy, healthy, and cared for. That includes feeding, walks, playtime, training, and lots of love and attention. Because I’m home full-time, I have the flexibility to schedule drop-in visits and walks throughout the day without it ever feeling rushed. Caring for pets is more than just a task for me—it’s a part of my lifestyle. I truly enjoy spending time with animals, whether that means going on walks to get their energy out, making sure they’re fed on time, or just sitting with them for comfort and companionship. Every pet I look after gets the same care and attention I give my own, so it fits seamlessly into my weekly routine. To me, it’s not an “extra” responsibility—it’s something I love to do and look forward to. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always try to keep things as close to their normal routine as possible. I know how important consistency is, so I make sure they’re fed at their usual times, get fresh water, and have plenty of time for play, walks, and bathroom breaks. I love giving them attention, whether that’s cuddle time, playing with toys, or just sitting nearby so they feel comfortable and not alone. I also take care to follow any special instructions you provide—whether it’s medications, feeding preferences, or certain routines that make your pet feel more secure. I pay attention to their behavior and body language to make sure they’re happy and stress-free while you’re away. For me, caring for pets isn’t just about the basics—it’s about making sure they feel loved and safe until you’re back home.

“Noni told me all I needed to know about this sitter when she acted like she didnt want to leave with me just yet ☹️lol! A very good sign that she not only felt safe but cared for at the same time. Juleysi comes highly recommended from me!”

“My dog had a great time with with Jacquely and her family. I really appreciated her flexibility and how well she and her family took care of my dog. Would highly recommend her services.”

About: I’ve had all animals, big and small. Mostly labs, doodles, and retrievers, but also bully’s, Great Danes, and yorkies. We have a huge fenced in backyard and 2 doodles with the middle name “zoomies”. Our family is looking forward to connecting with you, and an opportunity to love on your pups. Someone is usually always home so crate time is very minimal unless that’s the preference. Plenty of time and space to run and play if weather permits. Huge fenced in back yard for running and playing as well as 2 doodles and 2 children who adore dogs to keep them company while they are hanging with us.

“We were in town for business and needed a sitter for several hours. We were so lucky to find Laura! She took great care of our girl and made us feel comfortable with her home and environment and the obvious love she has for taking care of pups. We will definitely use her again next time we are in Fayetteville.”

About: I bring four decades of hands-on experience to every dog I train and pet I care for. Since 2015, I’ve successfully competed with my own dogs in a variety of canine sports, giving me a deep understanding of how to build skills, confidence, and a strong bond between pets and their people. Beyond formal training, I’ve volunteered at our local animal control, working with animals from all walks of life and temperaments. Over the years I’ve raised and cared for dogs, cats, multiple species of birds, and even a snake—broadening my expertise with different behaviors, needs, and personalities. This combination of professional experience, volunteer service, and lifelong animal care allows me to offer patient, knowledgeable, and compassionate training and pet sitting that owners can trust. I am currently available during the week and most weekends to care for your pets; this includes drop in visits, walks and even training sessions. Safety of the pets in my care is of the utmost importance, whether I care for them in the client’s home, I am boarding them in my home or walking them in public. I will abide by city, county and state laws regarding the care and maintenance of your beloved pets.

“Bianca was wonderful! We needed a quick sitter while we went out of town for a memorial service, but rather than leaving our pup in our home city, we took her with us and had Bianca watch her while we were at the service. Ness got walked and slept and played with Biana's two pups. The whole affair was perfect.”

About: I have loved animals all my life and have had pets in the home since I was born. I first started babysitting others pets while their owners were on Leave or TDY starting in the 3rd grade. I have a very large fenced in back yard with plenty of grass for your pet to run and play. While your pet is in my care, they will be given plenty of potty breaks, exercise and play time. I will send you pictures and brief updates throughout their stay to put your mind at ease. I have extensive experience dealing with senior pets who need medications and who need special care due to specific medical ailments. Your pet will always be treated as my family. They will get hugs and kisses, too! Please don't let my address in Wade deter you...I am only 8 miles from Ramsey Street!! For safety reasons, we cannot take care of Pitt Bulls or any pet that is aggressive. If it is the first time caring for your pet, I will ask to do a Meet and Greet so we can all meet one another to ensure our pets will all get along. I work remotely from home so your pet will rarely be left alone. I have two dogs of my own, so your pet will have plenty of company to play with. Since I do work from home, I am able to provide plenty of potty breaks and time to go outside in the yard to run and play. I have a very large fenced in yard that is all grass and very clean providing your pet plenty of room to run and play or just time to walk around the yard and explore. I will never leave your pet outside alone. Either my husband or I will be with them the entire time. While inside the house, they will have full access to clean water, plenty of toys and soft dog beds, all in our very clean home. If I am dropping in on your pet in your home, you can rest assured that I will be on time for the visit, take them to potty, and give them plenty of love. I will be very respectful of your home and only go in the areas needed for me to do the visit. For safety reason, I will not be able to watch Pitt Bulls or pets that are aggressive in any way. Please let me know if your dog can jump or climb fences, or is an escape artist.

About: My wife and I have always through the years had some variety of dogs and cats, male and female. Small and not so small 😊At times even birds, rabbits and Guinea pigs. We have taken care of my our grand dogs and grand kitties. We have chosen not to have our own animals friends in this season of our life because of the freedom it gives us to visit our children , grandchildren and great grandchildren we have in different states now. But feel we would enjoy helping others with their friends in our retirement. Our yard has a white picket fence and is a decent size for someone to run around in, but it is not completely fenced in. We are retired. We do not have any daily obligations anywhere. We go to church and we visit our children out of state on some of the holidays. Of course we would keep a close eye on them and see that they have water and ther food and a place to rest and as many potty breaks as needed. Also feel like they should be able to get the exercise they need with fresh air outside. Between a porch and deck that they can enjoy with us. Walking with a lease around the yard and their lease attached to an outside chain for their individual walking/running 😊

“Sheena took great care of our dogs! They had lots of fun in a safe environment and were totally pooped when we picked them up. Sheena is super friendly, had good communication, and you can tell just how much she loves dogs. Our dogs only spent the day with her, but she'll definitely see them again the next time we need doggy daycare!”

“Haley took great care of my puppy! She was well looked after, got lots of playtime with their pets and son, and came home happy. I’d definitely recommend and book again!”

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
