“Shannon was great with our Dalmatian. We recently got him and were unsure how he’d do because he’s been so skiddish. However, Shannon loved our boy and he really opened up to them during his stay. Highly recommend her.”

“Lauren was great with our lab! She was super accommodating, despite our last-minute booking request. She sent daily updates and made sure our girl was happy and well taken care of!”

“Jennifer is amazing. She has taken care of our two dogs Max (OES) and Lola (Beagle) a couple of time. She is very good at keeping us up to date about them through text messages with Photos and Videos. Her house is very pet friendly and she keeps them like they are part of the family. The second time I took my dogs, they were happy to go inside the house and not hesitant at all. Jennifer is very proactive and accommodating when it comes to scheduling pickup or drops. I will definitely keep on leaving my dogs with her as long as she allows it. Thank you Jennifer for taking care of our pups!”

“She was the best!! My baby loved her and she sent plenty of pics. He came back with all his stuff and litter box cleaned!! Rates are affordable and communication is Top tier. Will book again”

“I truly love how Janece and Matthew took care of my girls. They really seemed to enjoy them! And Sugar and Bella loved them also! I will use them as often as I can! Not many like these two! Love them!”

“Alise was fantastic!!! She kept us updated with pictures and texts about our boys. When we picked them up after our trip, we could tell the boys were well taken care of and happy. Thank you again for taking great care of Lex and Dexter!!!”

“Audrey was honestly the best. Our cat Nova had a great time and was obviously very cared for. Audrey had great and fast communication, kept us in the loop constantly. She also gave us lots of pictures. 10/10 would recommend.”

“Alicia and her family took the absolute best care of my two pups! They had a wonderful stay filled with lots of cuddles and playtime. Alicia kept me well-informed with regular updates and photos, so I knew they were happy and comfortable the entire time. She was also extremely flexible when my travel plans changed slightly, which I am incredibly grateful for. I’m so happy I found her on Rover, she is officially my go-to sitter!”

“This was my first time using Rover and I was a little nervous about it, but all my fears were gone once I met Whitney. She was very kind and send me multiple pictures of my baby Cooper. Her dogs were very cute and sweet too. I would reccomend her to anyone.”

“Ace had an amazing time. I was a bit nervous since it was his first time with a dog sitter but Evelyn was amazing. She sent me plenty of pictures and videos. I definitely trust her with watching my baby.”

“Adia was great with Milo. I could tell when I picked him up that enjoyed his time with her. He normally runs to the car without a look back but this time he actually came back to say bye. I was shocked. Lol. But I will definitely be back. Thanks Adia!”

“Tamera is fantastic. Marley (sheepadoodle) and Stormy (labradoodle puppy) came home happy and tired. Each day I received videos, pictures and updates. Tamera was understanding about puppy mistakes and her dog, Skrewball, was very patient and good with my dogs. I will use her again should the need arise! Can’t say enough good things about this experience!”

“Qais did a wonderful job watching our pups! He was quick to respond, took frequent videos and was attentive to the special instructions we left him. Highly recommended! We’ll definitely be returning if we ever need doggie daycare again!”

About: What’s sets me apart from other sitters is I have many years of experience being around cats and dogs and I have two rescues so I know how to take care of animals! I get off at 3 for work most days so and my schedule is flexible! Afternoons suit me better but I’m willing to figure out with the client what would work best to fit their animals needs! I have a fenced in back yard that’s big and a dog and a cat that don’t mind other animals, my dog is trained as well!
“Eileen was great! Provided video and photo updates the entire time to let me know how Sully was doing which I was very appreciative. Would definitely use her again for any pet sitting!”

About: I have always been drawn to animals. Since I was a little girl, I've cared for all types of animals, except spiders and snakes!! I have trained a boxer/blue heeler, mini pinscher, poodle, and jack russells. Senior dogs have also been in my care. I also enjoy walking dogs. My daily schedule is flexible because I am caring for my disabled child, who also loves animals. I would be open to weekly and weekend availability. I am reliable, respectful, trustworthy, and professional. Safety is my 1st concern and I would care for your fur babies as though they are my own.
Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Catchall
As always, Kobee loved staying there! He was ready to jump out as soon as we pulled up. A family emergency came up and Joseph did not hesitate to allow Kobee to stay longer if I needed it. I truly appreciate how well they take care of Kobee when I'm away, they are amazing people!

Joseph was great with our Golden retriever Winston! Winston was well-cared for during his stay. Joseph was very considerate about contacting me before he accepted a last minute booking to keep another dog. Turned out well as Winston had a great time with a new “friend”!
Maria was good and communicative. She was able to accept my lucky and a very short notice. My lucky made good friends with her boy. She fed him well. Only talking out 1 star as the place looked very dirty and I was not comfortable because my dog is prone to eating any garbage around. Thankfully, when I mentioned it, she cleaned the inside well and my dog had a comfortable stay and loved their company. Will leave him again when needed…

Maria was so kind and patient with my spoiled rotten doodle! I know my pup can be a handful, and I know she had a hard time being away from me for the first time overnight, but Maria did everything possible to keep her happy. She also was wonderful about working with me on pickup and drop off! Traffic was terrible, and she was very accommodating. Thank you, Maria!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Catchall home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Catchall.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Catchall sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
