When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and follow all instructions carefully to keep pets in a familiar, low-stress environment. About: Hello everyone! My name is Shelly, and I’m excited to care for and work with your beloved pets. I grew up on a dairy farm, where caring for animals wasn’t just a chore—it was a way of life. From milking cows to raising chickens and pigs, and always having a dog and numerous cats around, animals were at the heart of my daily routine. Those early experiences taught me responsibility, consistency, and the importance of attentive, compassionate care. Today, my husband and I run a small hobby farm of our own, where we care for horses, chickens, our beloved dog Luna, and many kitties. Animal care continues to be a central part of my life and is something I truly enjoy. I have also completed additional training and worked extensively with my own horses and dogs. Having been around animals my entire life, I have experience providing a wide range of care, including assisting with livestock deliveries (calves and swine), administering medications, and caring for animals with medical needs, including those associated with aging. I also frequently care for the pets and farm animals of friends and neighbors. I can't help but develop a special bond with each animal I care for. Working with animals is one of my deepest passions. I love to travel and explore the world whenever I can. Through my own experiences, I’ve learned how challenging it can be to find someone who is not only trustworthy, but also experienced and comfortable caring for both household pets and larger farm animals. Having peace of mind while you’re away is invaluable. My goal is simple: to give you the confidence to travel, work, or attend life’s events without worry, knowing your animals are safe, well cared for, and treated like family. I look forward to serving our community and building trusting relationships with both you and your animals! Currently, I am home full-time and available 24/7 from June through August, which allows for a very flexible schedule. I return to my full-time position during the last week of August. At that time, my availability will vary, with weekends generally offering the most flexibility. From September through June, my regular work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. I am committed to working with pet owners to accommodate their needs as best as possible and will do my utmost to ensure your pets receive the care, attention, and consistency they deserve. My pets are part of my family, and I provide them with the highest level of care, love, and attention possible. Their well-being is one of my top priorities. When caring for someone else's pets, I treat them as if they were my own because I understand how much our animals mean to us. I also recognize how important we are to our pets and that being separated from their owners can sometimes be stressful for them. My goal is to provide the comfort, care, and attention they need while maintaining their normal routines as closely as possible. I make every effort to follow all instructions and preferences provided by pet owners to ensure their pets feel safe, happy, and well cared for while they are away.

About: I’ve always had a love for animals, so much so that I turned it into a career. I’ve been a vet tech for about 15 years and have been caring for animals the majority of my life. I can administer medications if your pet has been prescribed any. And if anything seems out of the ordinary I will notify you right away. The care and wellbeing of your pet is my priority. I am currently working full time during the week with every other Friday off. The weekends, and every other Friday I am at home and we can arrange a time for pick up and drop off that works for you. When playing outside your pet will we supervised closely and will not be left outside alone. We do have a fence on the back side of our yard. And we live in a cul-de-sac, so no need to worry about being on a busy road.

About: I co-own a friendly 10-year-old Golden Retriever. I have historically boarded (in my home) 2 Basenjis for a 2 year period. I'm a daily walker with trails near my home. I have experience in medication administration and behavior modification techniques. I have a flexible schedule and would like to coordinate services with you that meet your pet's needs. I'm a seasonal organic vegetable farmer. I truly enjoy pet caretaking, it brings me more happiness. I live in the country. There are trails on my property as well as across the road from my home. I have a large crate available if needed, toys to share, and multiple dog beds. I live less than 5 miles from a vet clinic.
