About: Starting off about me my name is Mekayla... I am trustworthy and responsible when it comes to animals. I have had animals my entire life many different breeds of dogs and cats. I have also had other types of animals that were not dogs and cats. I've grown up with German Shepherds and Yorkies my entire life, so I'm ready for absolutely any size/breed dog you present to me. I have my own 7 year old Border Collie, Brady, who I've raised since 13 weeks old. I'm comfortable with puppy potty/play routines as well as senior doggies who need a little more special attention and individual care. I live in a cozy home with a fenced in yard, and plenty of space for pups to run around. I look forward to meeting you and your furry friend! I’ve had plenty of close calls with Brady that have helped educate me in basic first aid for dogs, and I can promise you I will do my best to create a safe, supervised environment for your pup so you can feel confident in their healthy, happy return. I work from home full-time, and I will be home pretty much all the time to keep your pup company and make sure everyone’s well taken care of and entertained. I have a fenced yard and two friendly dogs to keep your furry friend comfortable. I also have an XL sized crate if your dog wants some alone time or a nested, quiet place to nap.

I have been employed full time in the veterinary field as an assistant for almost 4 years and have truly found my passion for caring for our furry, scaled, feathered, and hairless friends. If you are looking for someone who will provide your pet with fun and safety while bringin you comfort while you are away you've come to the right person! Currently I am working full time in the veterinary clinic and due to emergencies and surgical schedules my schedule can be a little weird. For this reason I am not always available on the same days. But I keep my calendar updated so if I am marked open feel free to book! If ever there is a scheduling conflict I will reach out with ample time so you can find another sitter! I believe in fear free care for animals and let them tell me what they’re comfortable with me doing. I personally own two dogs that are behavioral cases. One being very high energy with severe anxiety and the other an aggressive dog with unpredictable tendencies around strangers. Because of this and other animals in clinic I have become very aware how to read canine and feline body language and know when they are telling me "no!" I believe if an animal does not want to do something they never should have to unless it is for their own good. Your pets will never be put into dangerous situations!
About: Pet care experience that I have obtained through the years -Humane society work over 2 years (cats + dogs) -Doggy daycare work over 5 years (dogs all ages) - Babysitting for 2 families which had 2 dogs each for 5 years was used for vacations when their out of town or sporting events. I currently am a full time employee I work your typical 9-5. I have 2 little kiddos they will have sports during the week. The days I have free are weekends every weekend is available for me to utilize to take care of someone’s beloved best friend they hate to leave at home alone. When I care for pets I walk into the home and call their name so they know I am there. I get them out of their crate or room wherever they are take them outside immediately when I get there. And if they have toys I play for half an hour or so. Take them out again before I would leave. But sometimes I sit with them in the house because some pets like company and they like someone being there with them.But if there are specific needs I will accommodate anyone with requests on how they need me to take care of their dog.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
