“Rachel is a wonderful cat sitter! My cats were very happy and well taken care of, and even Bella, who is very shy around new people, warmed up to her. Rachel was also very easy to talk to and sent daily updates.”

“Katie did a phenomenal job checking in on our cat! Each visit, she took a nice handful of photos, provided detailed notes on the visit, and spent quality time with our grumpy old lady, determined to win her over. She was also very tidy and washed out previous dinner bowls unprompted.”

“Sam was great at communication and adjusting to my schedule when I was out of town. Sam took great care of my cat and made me feel so much better about leaving her for two weeks! Thanks Sam!”

“One of my cats got injured right before a trip out of town, and Emma boarded him at her house while we were away. She gave him his medicine twice a day and sent pictures and information every day. She spent time cuddling him and he even got to make a little doggy friend. I wasn't sure how my cat would do around the other animals, so Emma was very thoughtful about how and who she introduced him to, and made sure he had his own private space so he could feel comfortable. She even got him some treats :)”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my lifelong experience and genuine passion for animals of all sizes and personalities. I have cared for many dogs of various breeds & sizes throughout my life and currently have three dogs and two cats at home. Besides cats & dogs, I have also cared for rabbits, guinea pigs, parakeets, hamsters, chickens, goats, and sheep! For the past two years, I have also volunteered at the SPCA in Winchester, gaining hands-on experience with pets of all ages, temperaments, and care needs. I am confident working with playful puppies, senior pets, and everyone in between. I am patient, outgoing, and truly love providing animals with the care and attention they deserve. I am a student at Virginia Tech, so I have availability here and there throughout the day! I am also available most evenings/nights for longer periods of time. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or a client’s, I prioritize safety, trust, and comfort above all else. At my home, pets enjoy a fully fenced-in backyard for safe outdoor play, a walkable neighborhood for daily walks and fresh air, and a spacious deck that’s perfect for lounging and sunbathing. Inside, animals are treated like family in a clean, pet-friendly space with constant attention and care. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always respect their routines and space, ensuring their pets feel secure, loved, and well cared for in their own environment.

About: I have cared for several work friend's pets, including someone who had 7 medium-large dogs with a laundry list of special accommodations and medications needed I am an Army Veteran going to college, this leaves my afternoons and weekends completely free. I can alter the rest of my schedule to accommodate your pet I have a dog and cat of my own, so I have experience with the difference in the needs and behaviors of the two most common household pets. I care for their physical as well as their mental health to the best of my ability. I strive to care for all animals the same way.

“Marquesa was awesome, the cats really enjoyed her company, and she was so good. We have a three-legged cat and Marquesa helped keep her clean and give the other one meds. She was so kind, helpful, responsive and professional. Would absolutely have her watch our cats again.”

“Hired Jenna after my regular sitter cancelled last minute. She was very responsive and accommodating, she checked in everyday and sent updates. Our cat is super timid with new people, but she seemed to take to Jenna so we will be using her again.”

About: Have had 3 dogs and many other species of pets all my life. Am available almost all the time for pet care and happy to spend lots of time with your pets. Great with walking or indoor sitting. Have lots of spare time to dedicate to your pets and happy to help all days of the week. Can visit at all times of day. Can easily and gracefully handle all breeds of dogs or cats and can deal with multiple dogs at a time indoors or out doors if needed.

About: Ive had 3 dogs since I was very young. My first dog was a rescue English Mastiff Puppy who grew super big and gave me experience with a medium-big dog, when I was 11, Cody, our male Cavashon joined the family! He is the sweetest boy, but originally had separation anxiety and anger issues, I can proudly say after lots of love and attention Cody is a friend of everyone and is also okay with being alone :) 4 years ago, I helped care for an elderly dog who has since passed, however I helped a lot with her medication administration and she helped me learn and gain experience with dogs who need extra care and patience especially when it comes to meal time and walks. I’m super excited to meet your puppy ♡ I am a full time student at Virginia Tech with a flexible schedule and my own reliable car. I’m usually on campus in the mornings for short classes (just over an hour), so I am always nearby and never gone for long. I keep a very organized calendar and can easily communicate my availability in advanced. I’m happy to help throughout the day, and I’m always just a quick text or call away. Feel free to reach out, even day of, and I’ll do my best to be there for your pet! ♡ Your pets safety and comfort are my top priorities. Whether I’m walking your dog or sitting at your home, I make sure to follow any routines and instructions you provide. I have experience with crating, supervised play at dog parks and fenced in yards, as well as walking dogs near other neighborhood pets. I’ll always keep you in the loop with plenty of pictures, updates, and a cute personalized report card after each visit, just so you know your cat or dog was truly cared for and loved while you were away :)

About: I have taken care of dogs within my household for 15 years now, with the additional walking & house sitting for neighbors! I recently started pet walking & sitting in Blacksburg this year and have had such a blast! As an incoming vet student this fall, I will bring an expertise and view that will be beneficial for the pet in their environment and for the owners. I am so motivated to support owners with their schedules by sitting or walking! I’m currently working part-time throughout the summer, and have time within the day to complete walks for your pets! I am also available to pet sit in-home for you if needed; preferably not Monday-Wednesday, but I am flexible! I always start off my sessions with building a connection with the pet prior. If possible, I like to meet prior to needing my services to socialize myself with the pet, so that trust can be gained. Once this is done, I love to play with the pets and cuddle them so that they feel secure! I love taking photos of the pets during walks to send to the owners, as this reassures them!

“Kaylie’s been doing drop in visits for our new puppy and she’s been great to work with! Always on time and always accommodating to any last minute changes we may have. I have no doubt your pet will be in good hands with Kaylie.”

About: I’ve looked after my neighborhood pets since I was 13. I’ve primarily cared for dogs and cats, but I’ve also looked after hermit crabs, a bearded dragon, fish, and canaries. I’ve looked after all different kinds of dogs of all different ages. I have experience with both crate trained and free-roaming dogs as well. Owners trust me to make sure water bowls are always full, follow their usual feeding times as best as I can, have nice walks outside, as well as spend some time playing before I head out. I am back home from college for the summer looking for a part-time job, so my days are mostly free to look after your pets! When visiting your pet at your home, I’d give them time to get used to my scent. I’m comfortable with both crate trained pets and free roaming pets. I take this position very seriously and will take the best care of your pets while you’re away!

“I’m so grateful to Leah for dropping in on Brodi! He’s a high-energy pup who needs more than just a quick potty break, and she went above and beyond to make sure he got attention, playtime, and love. Her updates and photos gave me peace of mind while I was away, and I could tell Brodi was in great hands. I’ll absolutely be booking with Leah again—highly recommend!”

About: I’ve had several pets in my household ever since I was young. I’ve always taken care of them, and have been relied on to pet sit for neighbors, family, and friends. I’ve also trained each of my pups in the house, such as the commands sit, lay down, stay, come, paw, roll over, and many more. One of my favorite experiences was taking care of a house full of pets for about a week that consisted of 9 cats, 5 dogs, and even a rabbit! I’m a full time student at Virginia tech and can care for your pets anytime I’m not in class! Lots of my classes are online. I can guarantee a safe environment for your furry friends. I’ve had plenty of experience with dog walking, even the most aggressive of dogs. I’m able to secure your pet in a crate if needed, and any other safety measures you may need!

“This past week was our fourth time having a drop-in pet sitter care for our senior cat “Helen-Purrin” (because she purrs like crazy) while we were out of town. I can’t say enough good things about Clare, the pet sitter we found via Rover.com application for the first time. First of all, Clare came to our house ahead of time for a meet and greet with us and our cat “Helen-Purrin”- she asked all the right questions about our home and the cat habits/medicine that made us feel secure and confident. Second, Clare visited Helen twice a day while we were gone, she gave plenty of love and attention to our cat. Clare left everything clean, neat and organized - after each visit, she provided a detailed recap, multiple photos, and a report on food/water/medicine/litter-box status. I can’t tell you how much this set us at ease while away from home. (Note – Rover.com uses a great online portal and a phone app that makes communication super easy. This company is very professional in every way). No doubt about it, Clare exceeded our expectations in every way, she did an outstanding pet service!! - We will definitely recommend Clare. This was such a wonderful experience for both our family and the cat!... Thank you so much Clare!!”

William D.
“Willie is a born animal lover. He has had multiple dogs and bunnies his whole life and often takes care of our neighbors pets. He was an EMT in high school, and while that doesn’t extend to animals, he has always been great in a crisis - calm, quick thinking and caring. I would highly recommend him for pet sitting!”

Morgan J.

“I can’t say enough great things about Morgan! She has been an absolute blessing for my 10-year-old pup, who isn’t as quick on his feet as he used to be and needs a little extra care and attention. Morgan is incredibly patient, kind, and thoughtful—she always takes the time to walk at my dog’s pace, making sure he’s comfortable and happy every step of the way. What really sets Morgan apart is the genuine love she shows. My dog lights up when he sees her, and it brings me so much peace knowing he’s in such good hands. Morgan gives him the kind of care and affection you’d expect from family—not just a dog walker. If you’re looking for someone who will treat your pet with love, respect, and compassion, Morgan is your girl. We’re so lucky to have found her!”

Brandon D.
“Brandon is truly one of a kind when it comes to caring for pets. From the moment he walked through the door, our dog Teddy absolutely fell in love with him—and honestly, so did we! Brandon has an incredibly calming and loving presence that animals seem to pick up on right away. We were especially amazed at how quickly he bonded with our notoriously feisty chihuahua. It usually takes ages for her to warm up to new people, but Brandon had her eating out of his hand (literally!) in no time. He’s also one of the most trustworthy and responsible people we’ve ever had care for our pets. He’s respectful of our home, always communicates clearly, and goes above and beyond to make sure our dogs feel safe and loved. Knowing he’s heading to vet school just reinforces what we already knew—he’s made for this. Highly, highly recommend Brandon. Your pets couldn’t be in better hands.”

Kaylie M.

“Kaylie’s been doing drop in visits for our new puppy and she’s been great to work with! Always on time and always accommodating to any last minute changes we may have. I have no doubt your pet will be in good hands with Kaylie.”

Lily F.

“Lily was phenomenal. I am not a trusting person with my animals amd she exceeded all my expectations. 10/10 would recommend.”

Emily P.Star Sitter
“Emily gives my dog so much attention! She is so sweet and caring and does everything to make sure that he is happy. When she comes, I know for sure that he has gotten lots of cuddles and playtime. Don't know what we'd do without her!”

Leah D.

Amberly B.
“I’ve known Amberly since I was six years old, and she’s always been one of the most caring and dependable people in my life. Last summer, she watched my family’s three dogs for a week, and I couldn’t have asked for anyone better. Two of my dogs are older and needed a bit of extra help, she changed their reusable diapers and even made sure to wash them at night so they’d be clean and ready for the next day. She also took care of our cats, cleaned the litter boxes, and fed them right on schedule. She didn’t just come over and do her duties and leave, she stayed with them and kept them company. I completely trust Amberly with my pets and would recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter who’s not just responsible, but truly kind and thoughtful too.”
