Cat Sitting in Cañon City

About: I have personally owned dogs as long as I can remember. From Rottweilers to Chihuahuas. I have dog sat numerous times, between boarding at my house and house sitting at a client’s home. I’m a true dog-lover at heart. I love dogs in all shapes and sizes. They are the most loving and most loyal. They really are better than most people! Lol. I have 2 mini poodles - Penelope and Winston. They are sweet, playful, and love hosting new and familiar friends! I also have experience in taking care of senior dogs including: administering meds, feeding picky eaters, helping with potty breaks, helping with walks, etc. I have personally trained all of the dogs that I have owned. I have lots of puppy experience and don’t believe in “You can’t teach an old dog new tricks.” as I have also trained older dogs that I have rescued. I currently work from home and I am usually off by late afternoon/early evening. I can be home with your baby. We can play and take as many potty breaks as needed. I also don’t work on the weekends and like to fill my weekends up with fun activities! I have a fenced in backyard and a safe neighborhood to go on walks. Your doggo would have complete freedom of the house (as long as I’m home, of course). Doggies are allowed on the furniture and allowed to sleep with me. If they are crate trained, of course that’s okay too.

Melissa came to our home twice a day to check on the kitties and manage their eating habits. The kitties are very shy so they usually ran under a bed when Melissa arrived. She tried to send us a picture of them at each visit but they preferred to hide! No matter. Bindi and Sophie were in excellent spirits when we came home. About: I've trained my own cat to do many useful behaviors to make her life easier. I volunteer at the humane society. I've previously trained other peoples dogs as well as my own. I'm currently looking for work, so I'll have plenty of time to play with your pets! I am available most Sun., Mon., Thur., Sat. Between 11am-3pm. I can follow carefully written instructions if needed. I will feed and water your pets, walk dogs or play if needed and cats get play time.

I’m able to accommodate morning, midday, and evening visits, as well as extended care when needed. My routine allows pets frequent check-ins, consistent feeding times, medication administration, and plenty of attention and supervision. I have multiple areas in my home where your pet can stay either with my pets or separately, depending on their comfort level. Pets are welcome inside, and if they prefer or require crate time, I’m happy to provide a crate as well. I prioritize a calm, safe, and flexible environment tailored to each pet’s needs.

About: I have worked with pets for all of my adult life. I began working at an animal shelter in Kentucky and volunteering with several rescues at age 19. I have sense transitioned into a career in veterinary medicine. I have some training experience from previous jobs and have experience with many different breeds. I’m experienced with senior pet care as well as administering medication! I have recently found out I am pregnant so I am now home daily for pet care. Can provide frequent potty breaks for puppies or older pets. I also have a young dog of my own for playing. We have a small fenced yard, for larger or more high energy pets we do leash walk if okay with owner. I have lick mats and puzzle feeders for more high energy pets that I do not mind providing.

About: My husband and I are new empty nesters and we love caring for dogs & cats. During Covid we lost our beloved Lulu and would love to help other families while we continue our search for our next full time four legged friend. I work in Canon City Monday through Thursday so I have plenty of time before and after work to drop in and visit with your pet. I am home in Wetmore all day Friday through Sunday to give your dog or cat all the attention they deserve. Plenty of time for cuddles or walks. We have mostly hard surface flooring inside - so pets are welcome everywhere at my house. I have raised dogs and cats from birth to end of life - and I love them all equally. We have 2 cats in our home and our neighbors have very docile friendly dogs if your dog needs to be around other dogs.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was very little with my first beagle Buddy! I often cat sit for family members as well! I would be glad to care for yours! I’m in college and work part time which leaves my schedule relatively flexible. I miss my pets so much I would love to spend time with yours! About: My first job when I was a kid was to walk my neighbor's dogs. Since then, I've worked and volunteered with several different animal organizations, completed different training courses, handled dozens of different dogs of all shapes and sizes. Every animal is different, and I respect each and every one! As an artist, I find caring for pets the perfect balance to studio time—nothing inspires a break like a cold nose nudging your elbow or a purring cat settling onto your sketchbook. Pets are treated like family. I believe structure and exercise are important and look for a relaxed demeanor to know that the animals needs have been met.

About: I’ve had dogs since I was 5 and my dad is a professional dog trainer so I’ve had a bunch of experience with dogs and puppies. I’ve had from small dogs to quite large and often I would pet sit for my parents when they’d need to go on trips. I want to be a dog trainer and care taker as a professional career once I earn enough money to go to school for it. I’m very flexible with days and time. About to help my dad with the new litter of German shepherds he’s breeding this fall.
