“Jen was awesome!! She house sat for 5 days and followed the schedule I left for my two fur babies. Both dogs are large dogs and she walked them every day without hesitation! They were happy and very well taken care of. I was able to relax and not worry because Jen would send text and pictures daily letting me know what was going on. I will definitely be using her again. Thanks Jen!”

“I highly recommend Gucci’s daycare sitter to anyone looking for dependable, professional, and loving pet care. As someone with a very busy schedule balancing work and school, having a sitter I can trust gives me tremendous peace of mind. Her communication is excellent—she keeps me updated consistently and sends pictures of Gucci throughout the day, which reassures me that he is safe, happy, and well cared for. It is very clear that Gucci is comfortable in her care because he never shows signs of anxiety when he returns home. In fact, he comes home happy, relaxed, and pleasantly tired from having such an active and enjoyable day. She is professional, attentive, trustworthy, and provides exceptional care at a very affordable rate. I truly feel that Gucci is in great hands whenever he is with her. I am beyond grateful to have found someone who treats my dog with such care and attention. Highly recommended!”

From assisting with the birth of puppies and kittens, to helping our older babies get out of their bed, and holding their paw while they take their last breaths, I’ve done it all. I truly have a passion for animals and want to provide them with the best life possible. After all, they are our best friends! I’m free in the mornings, nights, middle of the day, and on weekends. whenever you need me, I’m here! I never let the dogs out without a leash at my house, no matter how experienced they are with the area or how well they listen. Their safety is my biggest priority. Let me know your preferences and guidelines to follow!
“Karrington was absolutely the best. We were heistant about using ROVER, but decided to give it a try. Karrington and our Great Dane hit it off right away, she sent pictures a couple of times a day to ease our apprehensiveness. I would highly recommend Karrington to anybody looking for a pet sitter and we plan to have her sit again with our Great Dane in the near future.”

“Victoria did an amazing job communicating with us about our dogs. She was attentive to the instructions we left for their training along with maintaining one of the dogs medicine routines. Would highly recommend!”

“I have used Rover before in Alaska and was less than pleased with the amount of time spent with my two mini schnauzers, Nahla spend most of her time taking care of my girls during my short trip (three days). The dogs were walked everyday and they liked her a lot. It was her first time and she cooked food for them they way I do; but she did more than the Vet assistant or student I hired in Alaska and the house was still clean. Thanks Nahla”

“Tyler was great with Klooney and Brutus! He sent us daily updates with photos. The house and our dogs were very well taken care of. We will be sure to ask Tyler to sit for us again in the future.”
“Blaysen was very friendly and eager to earn our dogs trust at the meet and greet. She sent frequent updates and pictures of our dog to reassure us Pumpkin was doing well while we were away. She arrived on time and answers texts immediately. Because of Blaysen's caring personality and obvious love for dogs I was able to enjoy my weekend get away. I will be using her again and highly recommend her services.”

About: I have been taking care of people's pets since I was 12 years old. Dogs, cats, fish, turtles, tortoises, gerbils, hamsters, frogs, lizards, guinea pigs, ferrets, etc. I have experience with everything from Yorkies to Wolfhounds, puppies to seniors, high energy to lazy. I have taken care of indoor cats, outdoor cats, cats who only hide, cats who bite, and cats who love me to death. I have no problem giving medicine, dealing with pets who have unique issues, or with breeds often stereotyped as aggressive. I have four cats, a Yorkie, and a Pitbull at home. I graduated from USC with my BA in English this past December. I plan to attend graduate school in the Fall of 2026. Until then, I am working and saving as both a pet-sitter and a substitute teacher. My schedule is extremely flexible as I decide when and where I work. If I'm substitute teaching, it is between Monday and Friday from 8 AM - 3:30 PM. I do not substitute teach every single day. My weekends, evenings, and summer are especially open. It is extremely nerve-wracking to trust a stranger with a beloved member of your family as well as access to your home. It is my goal to make my clients feel as at ease as possible. I am very easy-going and flexible, so I encourage my clients to simply be honest about their expectations and boundaries. I will take care of your pets, house, garden, etc as if they were my own.
About: Background/experience in veterinary medicine. I am very comfortable with giving medication, taking care of special needs/senior pets. I treat every pet as if they are my own. I currently own my own equine business which means I set my own hours. I am a very active person so including other animal duties into my daily life is not difficult. I treat each pet as if they were my own. I would do everything I could to keep them comfortable in their own home while their owners are away. Even if that means sitting on the floor while they take a nap so they don't feel alone.

About: I treat every dog as if they were my own. My goal is to provide more than just pet sitting, and I create a loving, comfortable environment where dogs feel safe, happy, and cared for until their family returns. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I truly enjoy spending time with animals. I make time each day for walks, playtime, feeding, and giving pets the attention and affection they need. Caring for animals is something I look forward to, and I enjoy creating a safe, loving environment where pets feel comfortable and happy while their owners are away. Whether I am caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I focus on maintaining their normal routine to help them feel comfortable and secure. I make sure they are fed on schedule, have fresh water, get plenty of exercise and playtime, and receive lots of attention and affection. I also keep their environment clean and safe, follow any special instructions from the owner, and provide regular updates so owners can feel confident their pets are being well cared for.

FAQs for House Sitting - Camp Rawls
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of June 2026, there are 271 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Camp Rawls. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Camp Rawls walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Camp Rawls maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Camp Rawls choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Camp Rawls. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
