About: I have been in the pet industry for 15+ years including veterinary, retail and boarding. I also did house and pet sitting for a good friend of mine many times. I have worked in the petcare industry for more that 15 years. Most of it as a retail manager. I've done veterinary and boarding jobs also. I'm ready to basically become my own boss and do what I really love. I am still a part-time retail worker and full-time homemaker but would love to include your pets in my everyday activities! I have fur babies and scale babies of my own. This includes 1 dog, 3 cats, 2 tree frogs, 2 leopard geckos, 1 hamster and multiple fish. They are not only my hobby but part of my family. My dog and cats are allowed on furniture so they can cuddle with us.

About: I'm accustomed to feeding, walking, and giving oodles of love to cats and dogs after constantly growing up around animals. I've taken care of big and small dogs, including a range from chihuahuas to the biggest German shepherds I've ever seen. I am used to and comfortable with feeding/watering, walking, playing, cuddling, letting out, and bathing dogs and cats. I am more than happy to welcome your pet with open arms and tons of love! (Updated 9/12/24 6:00pm) Currently, I am available for house-sitting, check-ins and walks from 10am (EST) to 9pm, open all week aside from Friday — I am not available that day as of now. For house-sitting, I can arrive earlier or leave later if requested. I'm flexible and happy to communicate any schedule conflicts, special conditions, or different times. I like to introduce myself to an animal in an open, "hey, I'm here to be nice and friendly, maybe ask you to poop" kind of way, letting them sniff, touch, or watch me for as long as they need to in order to feel comfortable with me. I talk to pets in a calm, soft voice while I care for them, and follow their body language and any meows or barks that mean they may need something. I'm happy to follow any schedule they're accustomed to as well.

About: Hi there! My name’s Nikki. I’m 28 years old. I’ve had dogs my whole life, cats too! I’m a full time nurse with two fur babies of my own at home (Ozzie; my 3 year old super fluffy husky and Goose; my 1 year old all white shepherd). I understand what it’s like to need someone to watch over your babies who you can rely on and trust that they’re in good hands. I spent summers as a little girl with my dad helping train dogs/puppies. I have experience giving medications, shots, drops, and caring for animals on special diets. I’ve always loved animals of all shapes and sizes (dogs, cats, horses, chickens, you name it)! We love play time, going for walks, and/or snuggles on the couch while we watch a good movie. I can assure you your babies will be in the best of hands under my car and will most DEFINITELY be spoiled rotten! Reach out with any questions or concerns you may have :) My hours are flexible with work. I typically work overnight shifts 1-3 times a week and any other time I work is usually 4-6 hours at a time during the afternoon/evening. Most weekends are free. If I’m not around for 6+ hours, my partner helps me out with my fur babies and will gladly help out with yours as well. I have a few acres I live on, no fence yet but we love walking around the land and exploring (leashed of course). I have plenty of room for crates if need be. I have two very friendly pups who are eager to keep your babies company!

About: I have taken care of big and small dogs since I can remember. I love meeting new animals and making them feel safe and happy! I am extremely respectful of peoples space and am always early to everything! I have experience giving animals medications as well as dealing with food allergies. I also have experience with senior animals. My parents chihuahua is 20 years old and is also blind/deaf and I am always their first call for a sitter! We take walks or just play outside ... sunshine and exercise and good for all pets. About: I’ve had many pets of my own so I know how it is trying to find someone to trust to look after them. I’ve also taken care of many of my family members pets. I have the most experience with cats and small animals since I’ve had my fair share of those types of pets. I’m currently going to school to become a veterinarian. I love working with animals and it is my dream to one day work full time with them. I’m currently working part-time so I’m available weekdays after 2pm and occasionally on weekends. I’m very flexible with my schedule so I can be available anytime you need! I have a walking trail right by my house that I love to run on. I would love to take a dog for a run with me. About: I am a previous Veterinary Assistant of 5 years who is now a SAHM. I would love to provide your fur baby with a pleasant time while you are away. I have knowledge to give medications/insulin if needed and know that some pets have specific diets and certain accommodations. I personally have 2 dogs and 3 cats myself so I can guarantee that they would be treated just as if they were my own animals. I am currently a SAHM so if the pet is animal friendly with cats and dogs they can stay here with me while away. If they are not then I am more than happy to load up my kiddo and come to your house to take care of them. However I can not do an overnight stay with them as my child needs to return home for bedtime in his crib. I can do drop in visits only or the pet can stay here at our home. If pets are in my home they must be cat friendly and dog friendly as I have 3 cats and 2 dogs. They will be leash walked and fed separately just as I do for my dogs. If they are a cat they will get their own litter box and space until they can get accustomed to everyone. I am also perfectly fine with going to your home where they are comfortable. I am fine with leash walking, cleaning litter boxes, feeding, administering medications, or really any special accommodations you may have just ask!

About: In addition to caring for my own dogs, I work as a Dog Daycare Attendant and have been offering Rover services for three years. I have also worked as a Kennel Tech and Adoption Counselor in Animal Welfare. I am able to read dog and cat body language and assess your pet’s behaviors and personalities to care for them as well as possible. I work with dogs of all sizes, ages, and energy levels. I also have experience working with “difficult” dogs and special needs pets. I do accept unspayed/unneutered pets as well. I love spending my days with animals and would love the opportunity to meet yours! I’m a student at VCU and I work as a Dog Daycare Attendant. The addition of caring for pets on Rover is very rewarding! I have weekday, weekend, and holiday availability. I make sure every need is met and follow pet owner’s instructions. About: I’ve taken care of my own dogs for about 5 years. I currently have a 4 year old Aussie border collie mix who has reactivity issues and is very timid so i have taken training classes on how to work with a dog in situations like that. i also grew up in a house with multiple different sizes and breeds of dogs. I work part time at a restaurant in town and have a dog of my own but i do understand what it’s like to need some time away and make sure your pup is in trusted hands. I live on alittle over an acre with a cattle dog who is very high energy. we go on 3 4 mile walks a week and he is able to come and go from the house whenever he pleases. He is crate trained and he is on a strict feeding schedule. I get him groomed once a month and regular vet visits for up to date shots.

About: We live on a farm with miles of hiking trails, a large pond, and a big deck to watch the world go by. We can run, swim, play, or just be lazy. The yard is not fenced but we can go for lots of leashed walks in the woods or around the pond. I work from home and am available 24/7. I’ve had dogs my whole life and am experienced training herding dogs, understand dog behavior, and love all dogs like they’re my own. They’re welcome on the furniture : ) Come be a part of our pack Currently work from home and have a completely open schedule. Happy to pick up and drop off whenever needed, but try not to leave my dogs for long in general. 75 acres of fun with mindfulness keeping your pup safe on the property. Leashed walks/runs, plenty of activity, and a large safe home to hang in. 1,000 sq ft deck is enclosed.

About: Hello! I have taken care of dogs since I was born! I have had many dogs over my 20 years of experience, ranging from new born puppies, to older dogs. I also have cats, turtles, and have had fish over the years, as well. I have even helped my five year old pup deliver her own puppies! I’ve also worked at a Veterinary Clinic for 2 years, as a veterinary assistant and in the boarding services. when working with animals with different personalities and needs, the most important is the greeting introduction, always try for a fear free and slow introduction, to ensure good relations for future meeting. About: I was raised around animals of all kinds. I have experience with puppies, kittens, adult cats and dogs, as well as, senior pets. I have spent time working in a professional dog boarding/daycare facility, and I have gained experiences in dog behaviors, interactions, and care. I can administer medication and follow any special meal requirements including special diets or any special feeding routines or habits. I am comfortable with cats of all sociability and dogs of all kinds. No one is too big or too small! I am at home full time caring for my nieces and nephew ages 2, 10, and 14. I do prefer that any guests are friendly with children, cats, and dogs, but I do have space to separate if needed. I have a flexible schedule and am willing to work around yours! I am also available early mornings and late nights to help you provide your pet the best care. Ensuring the safety of your pet is my top priority. I will follow any instructions exactly. I will take extra care with reactive dogs and make sure that I am aware of all triggers and rules that you may have for your pet. I will follow rules you have for your pets how I would want someone to follow mine.

About: I have never gone without having pets. Growing up we had as many as 20 animals in total. I always strive to have a personal relationships with every animal I can. Have worked with training puppies and kittens as well as spending time with seniors. Love all animals but particularly my big dogs! I am new to the area and wanting to get to know neighbors and Texas! Figured playing and walking pets would blend the best of both worlds to do that. I will ensure to keep pets safe and secure while being mindful of each pet family. At my home I ensure all doors and gates are shut and on walks harnesses and leashes are secure.

About: I started off as a freshman in high school, cat sitting for a family friend every vacation where I cleaned the litter box, tidied up any messes, and fed. Now, I have worked at an animal shelter for almost two years (mainly with dogs). During this job I have gained extensive knowledge on dog behaviors, body language, and positive reinforcement training. Now I work at the Planned Pethood Clinic as a vet assistant. I can orally or topically medicate your furry friends if needed, even your difficult pets! The days i’m available are Tuesdays and Fridays.
