“Lisa and family did a great job looking after Bailey. Communication was great, especially with a last minute booking. They treated Bailey like one of their own pets. I would repeat again.”

“Rafael and his partner took fantastic care of my senior dog, who was still recovering from recent surgery. They were incredibly attentive, providing daily updates and photos that gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. They’re a super communicative and genuinely kind couple — I could tell Mistral was in great hands. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again. Highly recommended!”

“Lukis was fantastic with my cat! Very experienced with cats, and sent regular updates during boarding. My cat was so happy to stay with her! Will definitely recommend Lukis and look to book with her again.”

“Ashley was our life saver with watching our new puppy! We had a family trip planned long before knowing when we’d get our puppy and the timing was such that we needed help! She met with us prior, and learned after that she needed to give two medications (which she was not troubled by in the least!) Ashley sent us regular photos and videos and we could tell our new fur baby was in excellent hands! She also accommodated our very late arrival to pick up. She has set the bar high, as this was our first experience! Your pet will be well loved with Ashley.”

“Steven took care of our dog Rocky this past weekend and he really did a great job! He is easy to communicate and knows his ways around dogs! Highly recomended!”

“Meredith was super kind, lovely and made my little Bichon Frisé felt totally at home. She updated me with videos and pictures constantly even describing how my little one was feeling each day. Definitely I’ll book Meredith again, she is the best!”

About: I have loved and cared for 4 family dogs. Very much miss a dog in my life. At present caring for grand dog on weekends through the summer. Park across the street for long walks or playing catch. Home is smoke free as well as safe for animals. Is air conditioned and clean. Also, no stairs so suitable for older dogs.
“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ABOVE & BEYOND If you are looking for a place to board your baby, stop scrolling right now. Seriously. You’ve found the best of dog boarding! Brandon doesn't just "watch" dogs—he basically invites them to a 5-star bootcamp where they also learn how to be the "Goodest Boys and Girls" in existence. Why your dog will love him (and you will too): * The Training Magic: The passion for training is real! * The Vibe: Most boarders are "drop-off and pray." Here? It’s pure love. * Best in Town: No competition. None. Zero. If you want your pup to have a better vacation than you're having, this is the spot. I’d give it 12 stars if Rover let me. Absolute legend! 🐾”

“Arvind was amazing with my dog. I was very nervous about leaving him for 4 days and she took excellent care of him. She cared for him as if he was her dog. And her dog is very loved and cared for. Her dog also played well with my dog. Arvind sent lots of photos and kept me informed which helped a lot. I will definitely be having her watch Otis again!! I have already recommended her to a colleague :)”

“This was my pup's first stay with Sofia, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. She sent frequent updates and photos throughout the holiday weekend, which really helped me relax knowing my girl was happy and well cared for. Sofia's communication was excellent, and I truly appreciated the care and attention she gave my pup. I'd absolutely book another stay and highly recommend her!”

“David was wonderful with our energetic canine. David sent updates with pictures, multiple times during the day, which put me at ease, and took him on walks! Our pet looked relaxed, content and well taken care of. Thank you!”

“Puja was amazing with our Spotz. She was very accommodating of our drop off and pick up time. She took super care of Spotz and was very detailed about knowing instructions in order to help Spotz have a good stay. She updated us regularly with pictures and emails which helped to put our minds at ease since this was a long stay (8 days). Spotz got lots of exercise and outdoor time daily and all the love and cuddles he enjoys. We will definitely board Spotz with her in the future. It’s become his home away from him. Thanks Puja!”

“Omg (Z) was the best. This was my first time having to leave my son with a stranger. She treated him like her son, she walked him daily, sent pictures, she communicated properly, she let me know how he was reacting to the environment. Overall at 10 plus. I have found my new sitter. Thank you Z you’re great.”

“Kira's been our rover since we moved to Detroit, and our dog's hung out with her and her dog many times at this point. Our dog clearly loves staying over, which is rare for her, and it speaks to Kira's ability to care for animals and be responsible and present. Will continue to trust her with my dog for as long as she's willing!”

“Victoria is truly a lifesaver. I originally booked her to board my dog, but due to unexpected circumstances, I also needed urgent care for my cat, who had a UTI and required medication starting that same day and continuing for over two weeks while I was out of the country. Victoria was incredibly understanding and accommodating despite the last-minute change. Thanks to her, my cat received all of his medication on time without missing a single dose. Not only did she take wonderful care of my cat, but she also kept my dog happy and well cared for. She consistently kept me updated, especially about my cat’s condition and urination, which gave me great peace of mind while I was away. I cannot thank her enough and would not hesitate to book her again in the future.”
“Queeny was so gentle and kind to our Albus. She shared pictures and videos of their time together and we were reassured that our fur baby was in safe hands. It was our first time away. Queeny is the best and definitely recommend!!”

Allesha did a great job, as always, taking care of Mylo. Even though it had been a long time since they last saw each other, Mylo's excitement said it all! I was kept updated throughout his stay and received plenty of photos and videos, which I really appreciated. Allesha responded quickly to all my messages and made sure Mylo was comfortable and well cared for at all times. He came home happily exhausted, which showed just how much fun he had. I would definitely book with Allesha again!

Daniel took excellent care of Koda. Our giant Newfoundland felt completely at home, enjoying new friends, great companionship, and plenty of attention. Koda got some exercise, and we especially appreciated the regular updates and photos that Daniel shared with us. It was wonderful to see Koda having such a great time and enjoying his stay. We could tell that Koda was well cared for and happy throughout his visit. We highly recommend Daniel and would not hesitate to leave Koda in his care again.

Took amazing care of my cat. My cat gets homesick extremely easy and hates going to cat sitters which usually results in him not eating properly and getting extremely sad. However, with Damla my cat was looking perfectly fine and eating well and actually playing around with her. She also sends constant updates and actually cares about the animals. Would 100% recommend

Breana took very good care of Chili. I was very appreciative of Breana’s very timely response to my booking request and providing updates. I was a little anxious about leaving Chili with a sitter but Breana was lovely and calm in her interactions with Chili and myself and I felt confident after meeting her. Chili obviously had a great evening with Breana and her very sweet little dog Ivy. She expressed how much she liked Chili and that she would like to host her again. Chili will definitely be visiting Breana again. Thank you Breana and Ivy! I highly recommend Breana as a kind and responsible dog sitter. TS

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
