About: I have my dog, Yogi back home in Alberta and I’m here in Windsor for law school! I miss my dog a lot and I’m hoping to care for another dog to help another family out. I am in school but I have a lot of evening classes so I am very flexible. I’m not working any other jobs so I am very free. Back home in Alberta I have a fenced in yard and unfortunately I don’t have that here but I am more than willing to take your dog on a walk or stop by for visits.
About: What sets me apart is the level of personal care and attention I give to every pet. I treat them as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable at all times. I have experience with dogs of all ages, including puppies who need training and extra patience, as well as senior dogs who may require gentle care, medication, or a calmer environment. I adapt to each pet’s personality and needs—whether they’re full of energy and love long walks, or they prefer quiet cuddles and companionship. Clients appreciate that I communicate often, send regular photo updates, and always go the extra mile to make both pets and owners feel at ease. For me, pet care isn’t just a service—it’s something I truly love to do. Pet care is a natural part of my daily life. I plan my days around feeding, walking, playtime, and making sure pets feel happy and cared for. Whether it’s early morning walks, midday checkins, afternoon playing or evening cuddle time, I always make space in my schedule to prioritize their needs. On a weekly basis, I balance my routine so pets get consistent attention, exercise, and affection. I treat their care just like I would for my own pets - with patience, reliability, and lots of love. Taking care of animals isn’t just something I add into my day—it’s truly part of my lifestyle and what makes me happiest. When caring for pets in my home or my client’s home, my priority is always their comfort, safety, and happiness. I take time to understand each pet’s routine, personality, and special needs so I can make them feel secure and loved. In my home, pets have a calm and safe environment where they are treated like part of the family—with plenty of playtime, exercise, and cuddles. I make sure their feeding, walking, and sleeping schedules are followed exactly as instructed. When I’m in a client’s home, I respect their space and maintain the pet’s normal routine to minimize stress. I provide regular updates and photos so owners feel connected and reassured while they’re away. Every pet is unique, and I always adapt my care to what makes them feel happiest—whether that’s extra play, long walks, or simply quiet companionship.

“Peri’s extensive knowledge of dogs, training and puppies gave my husband and I tons of relief to get out of the house for a friends birthday evening. She was super communicative, lovely to work with and punctual. 10/10 recommend!”

About: I’ve taken care of and been around dogs my whole life. My first job was a dog walking service around my neighborhood growing up! My boyfriend and I have attended many dog training seminars when he was looking into getting a puppy, and I learned lots from them! I currently work part-time, only about 3-4 times a week for a maximum of 5-6 hours at a time. The shifts vary throughout the week, so I have lots of flexibility for pet care! Although my yard isn’t fenced, I have a backyard with grass. I have 2 small cats who are very dog friendly, and have lived with a dog in the past for 2 years! If your fur baby isn’t much of a cat person, my cats have a very large basement which is basically their home anyways, and would have no problem staying down there while I care for your baby for a little bit:)
About: I have been taking care of friends and families pets for years now growing up and have always enjoyed it. Most recently doing daily check ins for my friends cat and greyhound! I’m currently a student working part-time who is about to enter summer, so my schedule is going to be very open to help take care of your pets! I am extremely alert when walking pets and ensure that all gear is properly secured (snug and not loose.) I also always take into consideration feeding/treat preferences when on the walks.
“Kaylee was a great help to us while we were gone for 3 weeks on a trip abroad. We had her come by in the mornings to take care of our dog Robin who is a shy 60 pounds German Shepherd mix. She sent me daily updates and photos and even went so far as cleaning our cat litter and bathing Robin (no easy feat) without being asked to! When I returned home everything was clean and in order and the pets were happy and taken care of. I was really satisfied with her services!”

About: I have a literal lifetime of experience with dogs. From the moment I was born to now, I've never gone more than a few months without at least one dog in my life. Most have been rescues, so I know how to deal with shy or sensitive dogs. I've even had experience taking care of dogs with special needs and handicaps, as well as seniors. Without any major obligations at the moment, I'm free to focus on taking care of your pet to the best of my ability. I'm already the primary caregiver for my own two dogs, so it's something I'm going to be doing anyway. I take the safety of animals extremely seriously. I will always seek to learn about a prospective client's specific needs and limitations. I am very protective of my own dogs- possibly to the point of excess in some cases- and you can be sure that I will extend that to any dogs in my care, regardless of duration.
“Melissa was amazing! I had my usual person who checks in on my cats when I’m away cancel last minute. I discovered Rover and nervously gave it a shot. Melissa answered my inquiry quickly and answered my questions and arranged to come meet Bruce & Giggs before I left. Upon meeting her, she was lovely and made me feel more comfortable in leaving my guys in her hands. She was very accommodating and kept me up to date when she would pop in. The pictures were nice to see in her updates. Especially the one where she won Bruce over and he snuggled with her 😊 I trust an animal’s instincts about a person every time 😊 I would definitely use her services again.”

“Danae and Jamie were absolutely wonderful with our 2 cats. It was the first time we left our cats for 2 weeks and we were somewhat anxious. But we were very much relieved when we got daily updates and pictures. Our cats were well looked after when we were away and everything was kept exactly the way we left it- clean and tidy. I will definitely use them again when we go away.”

Bre got along great with my pups. They can be unnerved when new people enter the house, but after a few barks, they were on the couch with her. I plan to have Bre watch my pups for a night next week. I was very happy with her communication and timeliness. Thank you, Bre!

It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
