“We had a great experience with Tara and Mike. They made our dog feel right at home and were so inclusive with both our dog and theirs . They are all such kind loving dogs. They also had the freedom to roam the house, and could sleep wherever they were comfortable. We received updates throughout the stay, and it was clear our pup was happy and well cared for. We’d definitely book with her again!”

“Josey was very professional, reliable, organized and listened well. Her clean home, fenced in large yard made us feel comfortable leaving our “Birdy” with her. Josey frequently sent daily photos of how Birdy’s day was going. Our pet was exercised daily and even got to meet some new house guests! Her very attentive service warranted a tip in recognition of her exceptional care provided.”

“We had amazing experience with Chetan just like last time. Junior stayed with him for more than 2 weeks and he was very comfortable with him. They really take good care of Junior just like he is one of their dogs. Junior will definitely go to them again in future.”

“I can not say how grateful we are for their care of our beloved boys. I received daily updates while traveling and pictures to reassure the boys were happy and comfortable with Bill & Tracy. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants a caring environment to leave their loved ones in. “Sreeparvathi and Vysakh were truly exceptional caregivers for our Goldendoodle during our 10-day trip. From our initial meet-and-greet to the day we picked him up, they were warm, welcoming, and professional. Their genuine hospitality and dedication to our dog’s well being were evident from the start. They went above and beyond to ensure he felt comfortable and safe, providing consistent love, attention, and care. He was fed on schedule, enjoyed plenty of playtime and walks, and had a wonderful time exploring their spacious backyard. They kept him well groomed and tidy throughout his stay. We especially appreciated the daily updates, complete with photos and messages, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. It was clear our dog was happy and thriving under their care. We are deeply grateful for the kindness, reliability, and one-on-one attention Sreeparvathi and Vysakh provided. “It was my first time using Rover and I couldn't be happier with how Dalia and Dan took care of my GSD, Sadie. It was clear from the meet and greet all the way through pickup that Sadie was loved and taken care for as if she was one of their own. They understood Sadie's needs and made sure she was very comfortable during her stay. I'll definitely be going back to Dalia & Dan for future stays.”

About: Owned, lived with, and pet sat dogs and cats for over 10 years for friends and family. Dog owner for my entire life with a brief kitty stint. I have a strong understanding of boundaries and behaviours. Nothing brings me more joy than a genuine tail wag 🖤 Working Monday to Friday 9-5 , all federal holidays off. Home no later than 630 pm once a week. Earliest 5 pm. Weekends fully available and I definitely don’t have plans for the long weekend! Big fenced in backyard with a massive tree for partial shade (it cools right down as soon as you step food under its branches ! Medium sized dog pool for those summer days! Lots of grassy space to run and concrete patio to keep those nails dull. Not much back yard activity, deep lot so no hussle and bussle from the street. Lots of paths close by for stimulating walks. I have a large crate available if needed and an extra fridge for any raw food or cooler requirements. Your pet would be outside during play dates, able to come inside at any point with partial access to the home. Part of my home is under renovation and I keep all animals away from that portion with sufficient doors, locks and pet gates. we would have to do a meet and greet prior to ensure our dogs are just as excited to hang out as I am! Play dates available on weekdays after six, weekends, and in advance by request. You’re welcome to bring any toys treats, and special instructions. I would be able to board on weekends and can offer weekdays if your pet is crate trained as I would be at work. if I have the day off or if you’re looking to board your dog here then I do not require or ask for a crate. I always use the crate as an additional measure of safety. If I have to leave the dogs alone any time I have to leave the house. If you decide to do the crate, I would be able to offer live streaming access. I would be able to board at your house one night at a time. If you are comfortable, and our dogs get along, I would be able to do longer. For cat sitting, I would only be able to work out of your home or make drop in visits, whichever is needed. As my dog is not socialized with cats, based off her excitement with squirrels and rabbits, I would not recommend sitting at my home.
The median cost per night for dog boarding in Norfolk County is $50

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
