“Chetan helped us out when we needed last minute care for our dog. He was super easy to talk to and sent us daily updates, pictures and videos of Chotu having the best time. We were a bit nervous because our dog hadn't been around other dogs other than passing by some dogs during our walks. Chetan made us feel completely at ease by sharing his technique to introduce him to his dogs and giving us that extra reassurance. We got stuck in a snow storm and he was completely understanding and was able to keep chotu for an extra night. This really helped us as we have a little baby and were really worried about getting home in time with the weather being so bad. All in all Chetan was absolutely amazing with our dog and we will definitely rebook with him in the future.”

“I boarded my golden retriever and cocker spaniel with Claudia and her family for 11 nights while on vacation. While I have had positive experiences boarding them in a kennel in the past, they are relatively low-energy dogs and I really wanted them to be in a family setting for this longer vacation. And this is exactly what I found with Claudia and her husband and son. Not only do they have a lovely quiet family home (with a fenced-in backyard) in a lovely quiet neighborhood, but Claudia and her family clearly love dogs and I could see they took care of them as if they were their own, including walks and play times. And while my girls were very excited to see me when I picked them up, I could also see how very comfortable they were with Claudia and her family, and how obviously fond they were of each other. I would definitely come back to Claudia in future - recommended 100%!”

We have over 10 acres of land, including about 8 acres of bush with walking paths. There’s a fully fenced dog run attached to the house for bathroom breaks. We have a large room dedicated to indoor play and rest, and a large, cleared outdoor area for playing fetch and water activities when the weather is nice. There’s plenty of shade for relaxing on hot days. We’ve always dreamed of running a boarding kennel or daycare. As dog owners for over 30 years, we’ve mostly had more than one dog at a time. Years ago, we even had a litter of eight Labs! Currently, we have three dogs: Jenny, a retriever mix female we helped rehome when she was 10 months old; Oscar, our 8-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog; and Maverick, our 4-year-old Red Retriever. We also have our grand puppy, Cooper, a 4-year-old Basset Hound, who lives in an attached apartment with our son, daughter-in-law, and grandson. Cooper is with us when his parents work. Also taken my own Saint Bernard to trick training classes. That’s not often a sight to see. 😊 I’ve shown horses, fed & watered. Brushed & braided prior to horse shows. Turned them out & let them in. Covered feedings for cows, sheep, goats, mink, weasels, rabbits, fish, birds, chickens & ducks. I am currently home, so I have time to stop around (pre-scheduled) and give lots of cuddles & take them out for a pee break. I have the flexibility to step away and drive to your house for letting dogs out for a run in a fenced yard, or a walk on leash, or just for a pee break and have them eat their lunch or supper. Or cuddle the kitty and give lunchtime or supper time medications. Since my house is busy with two large breed dogs, I would travel to your house for walks and feedings or medications. Some dogs and most cats prefer to stay at home where they are comfortable and less stressed. With little transition other than the meeting someone new.

I am self employed with a very flexible schedule. Last minute house sitting stays are my specialty ! I typically prefer minimum 2-3 day bookings for locations that are over 50km away from me but if you're curious just shoot me a message and we can see what works. I currently do not offer home based pet care. However, in YOUR home I would follow any medication, behavioral and activity guidelines you set out.

About: One thing about me is that I am a veterinary technician, with that I have been caring for animals for over 5 years and with 17years of experience with my own pets. I do work at a dog boarding facility, caring for animals from morning to night. I have vast knowledge from puppies to seniors. I’m currently working part time, however Mondays and Thursdays are my off days. I can however come and check on your pups from 12:30-2:00pm and 7-8pm Monday to Thursday . If required and upon request more frequent visits can be done. If the pet is to stay with me I do live out in the country no fence however the pet will never be outside unsupervised. Either on a leash or on a 40’ leash. Crated in the house if needed. At a clients home, the pet will be supervised outside weather fenced in yard or not. Crated when I leave if required.

“I boarded my golden retriever and cocker spaniel with Claudia and her family for 11 nights while on vacation. While I have had positive experiences boarding them in a kennel in the past, they are relatively low-energy dogs and I really wanted them to be in a family setting for this longer vacation. And this is exactly what I found with Claudia and her husband and son. Not only do they have a lovely quiet family home (with a fenced-in backyard) in a lovely quiet neighborhood, but Claudia and her family clearly love dogs and I could see they took care of them as if they were their own, including walks and play times. And while my girls were very excited to see me when I picked them up, I could also see how very comfortable they were with Claudia and her family, and how obviously fond they were of each other. I would definitely come back to Claudia in future - recommended 100%!”

He got love, attention, walks, and a home that was very similar to what we already offer - laid back.
