About: Over 30 years of dog ownership and care. I am a retired Pharmacy Technician so I have lots of experience with medications and administration. Large property for exercise. Indoor area for playtime. We’ll treat your furry friend like we do our own, showering them with love, cuddles, and treats while following your dog’s specific diet requirements. I’m a retired pharmacy technician, so I’m very familiar with medications and administration. My husband works nights, so there’s always someone here to have naps with. We have over 10 acres of land, including about 8 acres of bush with walking paths. There’s a fully fenced dog run attached to the house for bathroom breaks. We have a large room dedicated to indoor play and rest, and a large, cleared outdoor area for playing fetch and water activities when the weather is nice. There’s plenty of shade for relaxing on hot days. We’ve always dreamed of running a boarding kennel or daycare. As dog owners for over 30 years, we’ve mostly had more than one dog at a time. Years ago, we even had a litter of eight Labs! Currently, we have three dogs: Jenny, a retriever mix female we helped rehome when she was 10 months old; Oscar, our 8-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog; and Maverick, our 4-year-old Red Retriever. We also have our grand puppy, Cooper, a 4-year-old Basset Hound, who lives in an attached apartment with our son, daughter-in-law, and grandson. Cooper is with us when his parents work. All dogs are welcome on the furniture and beds. We’re non-smokers and have elderly parents, one in a wheelchair, living with us. We also have a new baby in an attached apartment.

Chloe was fantastic. She went above and beyond to make sure Louie was taken care of and Louie thoroughly took to her. You can tell Chloe loves what she does.

We had two drop in visits with Rebecca. The response to our booking request was quick. Rebecca arrived on time on both days and stayed with our puppies for the full thirty minutes. We received pictures , Rover cards and updates after each visit. Holly and Sadie certainly enjoyed Rebecca’s company. We highly recommend her services to fellow pet owners.

About: Confident leash handler. Experienced with rescues, bully breeds, as well as reactive and senior dogs. Red Cross Pet CPR certified. I'm a big guy and LOVE big dogs (and little ones, too!) I am self employed and can be very flexible with when I'm available. I specialize in last minute bookings Let's book a meet and greet! Can't wait to meet your furry family member. I am self employed with a very flexible schedule. Last minute house sitting stays are my specialty. I typically prefer minimum 2-3 day bookings for locations that are over 50km away from me but if you're curious just shoot me a message and we can see what works. I am a confident and physically strong leash handler. Recognizing dog body language (particularly with excitable or reactive dogs) and being proactive is key (Dogs, like us, don't need to say hi to everyone that crosses their paths). Red Cross Pet CPR certified. I am happy to administer any medications they may need while you are gone.

Alissa was lovely to work with, even adding another day to the booking when some unforeseen circumstances arose. She was great with our cat, even despite his rather spicy personality. I have no complaints whatsoever! Thank you Alissa!

About: I have owned dogs and cats for most of my life and I absolutely love all animals! I have experience caring for dogs of all sizes and currently have an 8 year old English Bulldog rescue, Luna! I also have experience caring for cats, rats, bunnies and fish ☺️ I currently have weekday and weekend availability from 7am-7pm for walks (requests outside these hours possible). I am new to the Woodstock area and looking to build my walking roster here! I love every pet as if they’re my own! My friends have always made fun of me for the way I communicate with animals but they are part of the family! I will respect your space and ensure your pet is just as loved as if you were walking or caring for them.

About: I provide attentive, calm, and reliable care tailored to each dog’s individual needs. I have experience caring for active adult dogs as well as dogs that require a more patient approach, including those that may be anxious or need a consistent routine. I focus on maintaining the routines dogs are used to at home, including regular walks, feeding schedules, enrichment activities, and plenty of attention. I am comfortable managing large dogs and energetic breeds, and I pay close attention to behaviour, body language, and safety during walks and play. I am also attentive to health needs such as medication schedules, special diets, and monitoring for changes in behaviour or appetite. My goal is to make pets feel secure and comfortable while keeping owners informed with regular updates and photos. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine, and I plan my schedule to ensure pets receive consistent, attentive care. I’m available for regular walks and drop-in visits throughout the week and can accommodate morning, midday, or evening visits depending on your pet’s needs. I’m calm, attentive, and safety-focused, and I’m comfortable working with a wide range of dogs, including energetic dogs, shy or anxious dogs, and larger breeds that require confident handling. I always prioritize safe leash handling, awareness of surroundings, and respecting each dog’s comfort level and boundaries.

Paula is an absolutely incredible pet sitter! We had no idea Paula was available, sometimes, for house sitting and will hope for that option, as everything was perfect, the cats were so content.....came to the door but turned away almost disappointed it wasnt Paula 😅. Paula also accepted us last minute so that was amazingly helpful. Would 100 percent recommend Paula for any pet needs you have.

About: I have had cats and dogs since I was a baby! But I’ve been more responsible (walking, feeding, taking them to the vet) since I was about 12 years old. I work from home! So I can take breaks as needed to care for your pets, my schedule is very flexible! Working from home is also a great advantage if your pet needs someone to hangout with during the day. I am an animal lover, and I’ll do everything to make sure every pet feels safe and loved while I’m my car. My house has a fenced yard and I live about a block away from the park!

There are 284 sitters on Rover for Pet Sitting in Norfolk County. About 88% of Norfolk County sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a Norfolk County stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:

  • Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
  • House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
  • Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.

Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Norfolk County choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 70% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 90% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
