About: Over 30 years of dog ownership and care. I am a retired Pharmacy Technician so I have lots of experience with medications and administration. Large property for exercise. Indoor area for playtime. We’ll treat your furry friend like we do our own, showering them with love, cuddles, and treats while following your dog’s specific diet requirements. I’m a retired pharmacy technician, so I’m very familiar with medications and administration. My husband works nights, so there’s always someone here to have naps with. We have over 10 acres of land, including about 8 acres of bush with walking paths. There’s a fully fenced dog run attached to the house for bathroom breaks. We have a large room dedicated to indoor play and rest, and a large, cleared outdoor area for playing fetch and water activities when the weather is nice. There’s plenty of shade for relaxing on hot days. We’ve always dreamed of running a boarding kennel or daycare. As dog owners for over 30 years, we’ve mostly had more than one dog at a time. Years ago, we even had a litter of eight Labs! Currently, we have three dogs: Jenny, a retriever mix female we helped rehome when she was 10 months old; Oscar, our 8-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog; and Maverick, our 4-year-old Red Retriever. We also have our grand puppy, Cooper, a 4-year-old Basset Hound, who lives in an attached apartment with our son, daughter-in-law, and grandson. Cooper is with us when his parents work. All dogs are welcome on the furniture and beds. We’re non-smokers and have elderly parents, one in a wheelchair, living with us. We also have a new baby in an attached apartment.
About: I’m a dedicated and compassionate pet sitter with over 20 years of fostering experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. Through fostering, I’ve gained extensive hands-on experience supporting pets with different needs, from energetic puppies to senior dogs requiring extra patience and care. I also have experience caring for diabetic dogs, including following feeding schedules, monitoring behavior, and administering routine care as instructed. I understand how important consistency and attentiveness are when caring for pets with medical needs, and I take that responsibility very seriously. I treat every pet as if they were my own and always strive to maintain their regular routines so they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. Whether your pet needs walks, playtime, medication support, or simply companionship, I provide calm, reliable, and loving care. I’m dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to clear communication, so you can expect regular updates and photos for peace of mind. I look forward to meeting you and your pet and providing a safe, nurturing, and stress-free pet sitting experience. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I work from home, which allows me to be present, attentive, and flexible throughout the day. Because I’m home, I can provide regular potty breaks, timely meals, walks, medication support, and plenty of companionship rather than leaving pets alone for long periods. I structure my schedule around the pets in my care, making sure their routines are followed closely and their individual needs are met. Whether it’s playtime, exercise, quiet rest, or extra monitoring for pets with medical needs, I’m able to give them consistent attention and supervision. Working from home allows me to be reliable, responsive, and adaptable, ensuring pets feel comfortable, safe, and cared for as part of my everyday routine. I provide attentive, personalized care whether pets are staying in my home or I’m caring for them in their own home. In my home, pets have access to a large yard and a secure, fenced-in dog run, giving them plenty of safe space for exercise, play, and fresh air. I always supervise outdoor time and make sure pets are comfortable, engaged, and safe. Inside, pets are treated like part of my family. I follow each pet’s regular routine for feeding, walks, medications, and rest to help them feel at home and reduce stress. I provide plenty of affection, enrichment, and calm companionship throughout the day. I respect their space and follow all care instructions closely. I make sure pets receive the same level of attention, consistency, and love they’re used to, including maintaining their normal schedules and providing updates and photos for peace of mind. My goal is always to create a safe, nurturing, and comfortable environment where pets feel secure and cared for—just as if they were my own.

About: I’ve cared for dogs my whole life and spent many hours volunteering at shelters, fostering dogs and kittens, and even shadowing a vet as a teenager. I’ve trained puppies, cared for seniors, and have the experience and know-how to handle different pets but it’s the love and attention we give that really sets us apart. I work from home, so I’m with your pet all day, and we have a fully fenced yard plus daily walks. Our two friendly and adorable poodles love making new friends, and we can’t wait to welcome your pup into our family! Pet care is a big part of my daily life! I work from home, so I’m with pets throughout the day and can give them plenty of attention, playtime, and walks. I have a fully fenced yard for safe outdoor fun, and our two small dogs love meeting and spending time with other dogs. I also do agility training with my one pup, so if your pup is energetic or loves learning new things, there’s plenty of mental and physical enrichment but if your dog just wants to relax and hang out, that's totally fine too. I make sure every pup feels safe, happy, and at home! I have a fully fenced yard for playtime, plenty of indoor space to relax, and my two pups always enjoy having furry visitors around whether it means extra play time or just a pup to hang out with. If your dog needs some quiet time, I am happy to set up a crate or cozy spot. Since I work from home, I’m around all day for supervision, walks, and lots of love.

“I'm so happy to have found Andrea to care for my precious furbaby! Andrea took excellent care of Penny over two days - they went for lots of walks, played in the backyard, had lots of pets and cuddles and was she was flexible with times when my transportation was delayed. I received updates and pictures throughout the day to put my mind at ease. Penny is still young with lots of energy and not quite trained fully, so I appreciate the extra care, as she can be a bit of a handful! Thank you so much, we will be back!”

“Josey was absolutely incredible with our dog — we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that her home is a true little paradise for dogs: warm, welcoming, and perfectly set up for them to feel safe and happy. Highly recommend!”

“Cooper had such a great time with Alison! He was a very tired pup when he got home! She provided updates throughout the day and was very responsive to any questions. We will definitely be using her again when we need a dog sitter! ?”

“Ashley has been an amazing help! Several times she has been available for a last minute booking which has really helped us out. Our dog gets very excited as soon as we pull up to her street and comes home so tired, we get a bonus relaxing evening off as he doesn’t ask for his typical “after dinner” walk. Thanks so much, looking forward to Ben’s next stay!”

“Henry had a great first stay with Britt and was definitely tired when we brought him home after playing all day. Good updates throughout the stay and felt very comfortable leaving our little guy in her hands”

“This was our first time booking through Rover and with Claudia. We have a trip coming up in January and needed care for our Border Collie. Today was our first daycare day and Raven loved it!!! Claudia sent me messages and videos throughout the day, which was really sweet. She’s so nice, and you can tell she truly loves the dogs and what she does. We’re looking forward to booking more daycare days and having her watch Raven while we’re on our trip. Thank you so much, Claudia!! ♥️♥️♥️”

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Norfolk County commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in ON ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as the DHPP or DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
