“We cant say enough good things about Polly-Anna!!! Her and her family took such great care of our girl. It was our first time leaving her for longer than one night, Polly-Anna sent us lots of picture and video updates. Her three pups took to luna right away and put up with her wild puppy energy! There is very secure fencing for when she was outside, she even got to meet rabbits, pigs, chickens and turkeys(through the fence)!! We feel lucky to have found someone who loves and cares for our fur baby as much as we do. We have already re booked for when we are away next and will recommend her to anyone we know needing pet care🙂”

“Jessica was great at responding to my check ins in a timely manner and gave me.photo updates of my girl resting with her dogs. I felt comfortable and confident that my girl.was well taken care of both physically and mentally stimulated. When I picked her up she was excited to see me but was calm the remainder of the night. I would recommend Jessica to care for your dog.”

“This was our first time using Rover, and we could not be happier! Chelsea was absolutely wonderful. She kept us updated all day with adorable pictures of our dog, which gave us total peace of mind. She took our pup for several walks and showed genuine love and affection the entire time. It is clear she truly cares about animals. We will definitely be booking with her again and recommend to our friends / anyone looking for a dog sitter!"”

“Took very good care of our schnoodle Luna. She got a lots of playtime and walks. Communicated a lot with us during her stay and updated how she was doing and sent us lots of photos and videos. Ana is an amazing sitter and we highly recommend.”

“Our girl was well cared for. Yvonne was open to a meet-and-greet, and kept up a steady stream of photos and updates. We highly recommend Yvonne, and we will use her pet-sitting services again.”

“Sonja and her family are all nice people and great with dogs, Luna had amazing time there and I am glad to use Sonja's service. She is very detail oriented and even did a pet report for Luna. I will definitely recommend her and use her again in the near future.”

“Ben was fantastic, and his price is reasonable… if it stays that way, I will definitely use him again in the future! It’s more reasonable than most prices that are listed. We are both happy! Libby seems to have had had a great time with him :) thanks Ben!”

“Jill is amazing with my Ruby. Ruby didn’t want me to leave and she had her settled in and comfortable quickly. She sends lots of pictures and updates. Ruby absolutely loves her.”

“Elizabeth and her family took wonderful care of my two year old male shepherd cross. He got in lots of playtime with her kids and other dogs and I got lots of pictures. He came home happy and tired from his adventure. I would absolutely recommend her!”

“Jinny is an amazing sitter. Very patient and kind to my puppy. It’s my puppy’s first time ever to stay at another house snd Jinny made her feel at home. She sends videos and pictures and updates every single day which took our worries away. Her kids are amazing too snd showed my puppy some love by playing and feeling her. Definitely will go back to her. Two thumbs up the way she took care of my dog. The bathing/grooming is a plus factor for Jinny. Very satisfied and happy with Jinny. :)”

About: I grew up on a farm and have extensive experience with all kinds of animal. Dogs and cats alike. I currently work at a animal boarding facility.i also hold a current and up to date animal first aid certification I work mainly nights but have no issue coming to check on pets before and after my shifts. Will be available at any time other that 2-11. I work in a force free boarding facility and I carry that into my own home. I own a Red heeler. “Our girl, Daya (part retriever and part collie) had a great time with Melissa and family while Daya's human family were away on vacation. Daya's second family (Melissa and family) kept her active and engaged with off-leash outings and lots of interaction with animals and humans. Melissa has two girl doggies who are half of Daya's age and that was great for keeping Daya active and on her toes. These two girl doggies are extremely fun loving and playful. There was a lot of great human interaction too from Melissa and her human family. We know this because of all of the written updates Melissa provided us that were augmented by pictures and videos. We also know Daya felt comfortable and at home based on where and how she slept, and the absence of in-house accidents (which she can do when stressed or anxious). It was very apparent that Daya felt at home, comfortable, and was very well taken care of, again based on the updates and photos/videos, but also on how happy, fit, and good natured she was when we picked her up. Daya and our human family very highly recommend Melissa, her four legged, and human family, for Dog sitting/boarding.”

“Blaine and Kendra are the best dog people I have come across on Rover. They took very good care of my pup, who can be a bit of a handful. They are warm and welcoming and made my pup feel at home during his stay. I 100% recommend them!”

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
