About: I’ve been around animals my whole life and truly love dogs and cats, they bring me so much joy! My parents have fostered dogs and cats since before I was born, so I’ve grown up helping care for pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I’ve also pet sat for friends and family for several years, handling feeding, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and plenty of love and attention! I’ve cared for all kinds of pets including small dogs, large dogs, puppies, senior dogs, kittens, and senior cats. I’m attentive, reliable, and genuinely committed to making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and happy while you’re away. I treat every animal like they’re my own and love building trust with each pet I care for! I'm currently a college student working part-time. I'm available weekdays from 3-10 pm. I am not available Tuesdays but am available all day on weekends! I am happy to coordinate a time that works best for your pets routine! I provide care in your pets home, so they can stay comfortable in their own space and routine. I provide walks, potty breaks, feeding, playtime, and lots of love and attention! I enjoy getting to know each pets personality and making sure they feel happy, safe and loved while your away!

Laura was absolutely amazing while taking care of our cats for two weeks. From the daily updates to the adorable photos and the extra care she gave, we could tell they were all very happy and comfortable the whole time. It’s such a relief to be away and know your pets are in the best hands. Laura went above and beyond — she was reliable, caring, and clearly loves what she does. We couldn’t have asked for better care! Thank you, Laura, for treating our cats like they were your own. We’re so grateful and would 100% recommend you to anyone looking for a truly wonderful pet sitter. 🐾❤️

Patricia was wonderful. We received photos for every visit, she let our cats outside on their harnesses, scooped litter and generally took great care of them. They were happy and healthy when we returned. Our cats are very precious to us so we really appreciate it. Thank you so much

Genna did a great job taking care of our cats while we travelled out of town for Christmas. She gave detailed updates and sent lots of photos from each check in. She made sure our anxious cat was getting enough to eat and made sure they all got some cuddles and playtime. We will definitely hire her again!

About: With years of experience working in pet care kennels and the SPCA, I’ve cared for pets with a wide range of personalities and needs. I’m patient, attentive, and focused on making sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I am available during the weekdays after 8:30 AM and before 4 PM. I am a single mom and work from home so these are the hours my kiddo is in camp. I do have occasional weekend and evening availability upon request. I provide care in your pet’s home where they feel most comfortable and less stressed. I follow your pet’s routine closely, including feeding, exercise, and any specific instructions you provide. With my background in pet care kennels and the SPCA, I’m experienced in handling dogs safely on walks, using proper leash control and staying aware of surroundings at all times. I prioritize safety, consistency, and keeping your pet calm and stress free.

About: I have always had a special connection to dogs. As a child, the bigger the dog, the more I had to go full force ahead to pet them. Lucky for me, nothing ever happened to me. As an adult, I raised a chocolate Lab and a yellow Lab for their first few years of their lives, when, unfortunately, they moved away with their owner. I have lived in Redcliff for about few years, and I have been walking a local lady's dog once or twice per week. I also stayed overnight for her alongside her other two dogs when she went on vacation a few times. I am offering my services for overnight dog sitting in your house. I can walk them, play and give lots of love. I am very active and can handle any size dog. As mentioned, I am free to walk or look into them during the day, or if you go away for a weekend or vacation, I can stay with your pet. If you have other pets, I am comfortable with Cats, Birds and Hamsters. Please, no snakes or mice. Walks with your pet are weather permitting. However, I could let them out and play indoors with them, keep them company and give them lots of love and cuddles.

About: I have had cats and dogs in my life for over 30 years. There is always at least one cat and dog in our home. I am currently looking for a new job, and have more te than hobbies which gives me plenty of time to take care of your pet. I enjoy spending time with animals, and make sure that they can't disappear out an open door or gate. I love playing with the cats, and keeping dogs busy while I spend time with them so that they are not getting stressed from being alone.

About: I’ve always been around dogs growing up and I plan on always being in a household with one. I love to be around dogs and puppies. I have graduated and am taking a few years off to think about what career I want to go into, so I have lots of spare time. I have a friendly family dog, Betty White, who loves to play with new dogs. My backyard is fenced with some grass space and we have a dog run as well.

Sier was beyond amazing from start to finish! We booked her last minute for drop in visits and she was quickly available. The best thing for me was to see through the reports how she built a relationship with my cat throughout the days, making her comfortable and gaining her trust. Sier was the best pet sitter we’ve ever had!

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Pet Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Pet Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 33 sitters on Rover for Pet Sitting in Medicine Hat. About 90% of Medicine Hat sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a Medicine Hat stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:

  • Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
  • House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
  • Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.

Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Medicine Hat choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
