“Claudia was great! She was very accommodating and did a great job getting our skittish Tux to come out of his shell. We would highly recommend and will rebook again next time. Tks!!”

“Shelby’s always a lovely sitter for my kitty. She’s responsible and reliable. She’s dependable and I know my kitty is getting taken care of so I can feel good while I’m away.”

About: As a dog and cat mom myself, I know first hand how difficult it can be to find someone trustworthy, reliable, and nurturing to care for one’s pets. I am dedicated to alleviating that worry and stress by providing professional, compassionate, high quality care when pet parents can’t be there. A former vet tech, I am especially perceptive and attuned to a pet’s medical needs, understand and adhere to veterinary instructions, and am trained to observe changes in an animal’s physical condition. I am also insured, licensed and bonded, and trained in Pet First Aid. In addition, I am a certified dog walker through the dog*tec Dog Walking Academy. The only program of its kind for dog walkers, this widely respected program covers a comprehensive array of topics critical to professional dog walking, including canine behaviour, basic training predicated on positive reinforcement, management, and First Aid and safety protocols. I have been a Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner for 4 years. I offer positive reinforcement training such as clicker training, loose leash walking, go to mat, recall, name recognition, sit, stay, leave it, reorient towards handler when crossing threshold (i.e. going through doorway). I also offer potty training advice and how to manage puppy biting. Hint: puppy biting is normal as they learn to explore their world. I provide tips and advice on how to help get through this sometimes scary, yet normal puppy development stage. 🤗 Currently available weekdays of dog walks. Currently available weekdays and weekends for drop in cat care. I have my own dog and cats and know that pets thrive on routine and consistency. I arrive for visits as scheduled. Happy greetings for dogs and cats. Dog walking: harnessed/leashed and depart for our walk. Arrival back home: take walking gear (harness/leash) off, refresh water, play or TLC time. Cat drop in visits: feeding and refresh water, give meds if applicable, scoop litter boxes. Then playtime or quiet time depending on cat’s preference.
“Joanna is amazing and has the magic’s touch with my cats. They can be shy and finicky but they always come running out to see her. Joanna is flexible, consistent, takes GREAT photos, and is really friendly. So happy to have a kind and trustworthy caregiver for my girls.”

“Colleen took incredible care of my little man! He took to her immediately at the introduction done before my travel dates. All I can say is WOW, hire her and know that you can enjoy your time away because your pet is in safe and loving hands.”

“Serena is absolutely wonderful - punctual, meticulous and loving! We had a meet and greet prior to a one hour drop in visit. Serena took excellent care of our anxious senior and allowed our younger dog to give her lots of kisses. She took loads of hotos and then left us with a very comprehensive summry of the visit on the Rover car. We were very impressed with Serena and hope to hire her again next time we need a night out!”
“Taryn took care of my cats for a few weeks and did a great job. She followed all the instructions well and the cats were well cared for and seemed happy to be around her. Communication was good and I would definitely recommend her as a sitter for your pets.”

“Megan was sweet, friendly and reliable with all necessary care tasks. You can tell she loves animals. This booking was super last minute so we felt lucky to have found someone good! Luna was well taken care of by Megan & we would happily have her back again.”

“Casie and Neil were wonderful and took such good care of our pups! We loved their efficient communication and all the pics and updates while we were away. We were visiting from out of town and they were super accommodating which we really appreciated.”

About: I am very active and walk 4-8km almost everyday, plus hikes in fun locations on many weekends! I would love to have your pup join me for some adventures! I work from home, but find I can definitely focus better when not at home! If you have a wi-fi connection, I'm happy to make your home my office for a few hours and keep your pets company. (of course with many work breaks for pets!) I walk from my Sahali home most weekday mornings, I'm happy to pick-up from my neighborhood, or you can drop your pup to me on your way to work (I'm more flexible at the end of the walk to drive them home!) I am training for some ambitious summer goals and will be adding more time and distance, so I might also be able to accommodate walks at other times of day as well. Reach out and let me know what you're looking for! I also love getting out for hikes on a lot of weekends if you have a pup that likes longer adventures. For pet visits, I'm happy to work from your home with a wifi connection and keep your pet company during the day. The easiest times for me to do this are within school hours (10am-3pm) I'm always aware of the environment and watching for wildlife or other dogs on the trails. I want to make sure your dog as well as other trail users we meet are comfortable on their walk! I'm happy to learn your dog or cats specific needs and adapt my routine or plan to make sure they are safe and happy.
About: I have cared for dogs and cats my whole life. I raised my Labrador retriever from 8 weeks old, so I thrive taking care of dogs who need loving boundaries and lots of stimulation. I recently lost my cat after 9 years, so I would love to snuggle yours! My dog doesn’t stay with me full time, so I have lots of space for yours. I work from home part time, so I have a flexible schedule for drop ins and your pet will have lots of company while house-sitting or boarding :) I have a vehicle so I can safely transport animals for outings. I will follow your instructions exactly and get to know your pet’s needs and routine. If house-sitting, I am happy to take care of plants too! My home is near many walking trails in Peterson Creek park.
About: I’ve raised dogs my entire life. (50 plus years). Dogs have very different personalities. It’s important to recognize that and adapt to their needs, likes and dislikes. My husband and I are retired with part time jobs we choose to work giving us great flexibility to plan around the needs of our dogs. Please feel free to request days I’ve marked unavailable. I mark those times far in advance. I like to camp a few days between Monday and Friday. These days are often flexible. **** SIZE LIMIT: the Rover app size setting choices are up to 15lbs, up to 40 lbs and then higher. I selected up to 40 lbs however, to protect my 7 lb pooch I won’t take dogs over 25 lbs ish. ****** Our dogs enjoy morning and evening walks in the Kenna Park area. We often travel by car to Peterson Creek or McConnell Lake for afternoon walks Meal time is usually between 7-8 am and 4-5 pm. They enjoy potty breaks in the back yard every 2-3 hours. Rest time can be on a patch of grass in the back yard, bed on the deck, a comfy chair, kennel or dog bed in the living room. Our home has a beautiful fenced yard and neighbours great walking trails. Our 2 little dogs are great companions. We use gated rooms or kennels if separation is required. Your fury friend should come with their well fitted harness for walks and one of their blankets to help them feel secure. There’s no children living in our home. Occasionally, we have grandchildren visiting.
“Miriam was wonderful with my character cat, Mindy! She sent the most adorable photos of her after each check in and I would recommend her for her services. Big thank you Miriam - from Mindy and I.”

“Antonio went ABOVE and BEYOND with our pooch. We will definitely be hiring him again the next time we need a dog sitter. Our dog is usually very sad when we have to leave him, but Antonio took the time to cheer him up. We came home to a very happy dog.”

“Sydney came to drop in on our little man Remy while my partner and myself were on a camping trip over the weekend :) she has awesome communication, sends photos and makes sure we’re up to date on everything! We’re very grateful for her services and would definitely book her again!!”

“Mia was great! We will definitely use her again. We are new to the area so appreciated Mia accommodating our schedule on short notice. Our dog is nervous with new people, but quickly warmed up to Mia.”

5/5 Stars — Exceptional Care! Cathrine was absolutely wonderful with my mini Australian Shepherd, Mac! She is so kind, gentle, and truly knows how to speak the language of pets. He was completely at ease with her. She provided prompt updates with great photos of their walks, which gave me complete peace of mind. On top of that, she was incredibly flexible and accommodating when I had to make last-minute arrangements. She is attentive, trustworthy, and clearly passionate about providing top-tier care. I highly recommend Cathrine to anyone looking for an incredible dog walker and will definitely be booking with her again!

Bianca, our cat sitter did a tremendous job in looking after our 2 senior cats. She was pleasant, followed our instructions and contacted us about having left a window open. Her conscienceousness put our minds at ease; we had a stress-free holiday knowing our furry babies were in good hands. Thank you Biance. Sinerely Kandae Allen, BC Interior

Casie provided excellent care for our puppy while we attended a soccer tournament in the city. She was very reassuring as this was our first time leaving our puppy. I was grateful she had a fenced yard so he could happily roam around unleashed. We received pictures and excellent communication overall. Will definitely reach out next time the need arises when we are in Kamloops.

There are 84 sitters on Rover for Pet Sitting in Kamloops. About 98% of Kamloops sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.
Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.
A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.
Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a Kamloops stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.
Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.
You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:
- Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
- House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
- Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.
Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Kamloops choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
