“If you are lucky enough to secure Rena as your pet sitter or dog walker you have won the lottery! She is very organized, super loving to the animal and we couldn't have been happier with the service she provided. Thank you Rena!”

“Claudia is very quick to replying to messages and she and her partner took great care of my dog on their walks! I definitely recommend her dog walking and drop in visit services!”

About: Pet lover living in a pet-free apartment. I grew up with dogs & I miss being around them. I have experience with small, medium & large dogs, from puppies to seniors. Although I care for my friends’ pets when they need me, I would love to match up with more dog owners in my own neighborhood. I’m available all day Mondays & Tuesdays, plus evenings after 7pm. (I’m a night owl, so I have no problem with walking later in the evening!) I have had basic dog walking safety instilled in me since I was a child. I understand the importance of trusting the person you leave your pets to, and although it’s a fun job, I don’t take it lightly.
About: Previous to Rover, I've had a private house sitting gig that takes place for days/weeks at a time several times throughout the year. I have previous experience fostering dogs of all sizes (including a dachshund, a husky with a broken front leg, a German Shephard with intestinal ailments, and an anxious chihuahua!) My roommates and I have taken in a cat, and a dog (bernadoodle) in the past year. Not to mention growing up I had a sheltie and a husky. I look forward to getting to know your pets and help provide them with a more fulfilled life! I wish this App had existed so that my childhood pets would have been able to enjoy the extra company, attention and all the additional excercise! I have a job that is work from home based that allows me to work from anywhere. I spend some time every other day out in the field, at my own discretion. This allows me plenty of flexibility when it comes to caring for your pet! I live in a basement suite of a house that doesn't allow pets sadly. Sending your pet to me probably won't work, but I'm happy to meet your out where they are and take them for walks, and give them the care they need.

About: If your dog loves walks, playtime, and lots of attention—we’ll get along great! I’ve had dogs my entire life and have experience with all kinds, from high-energy adventurers to laid-back cuddle bugs. I’ve house-sat and cared for many dogs over the years, and I genuinely love getting to know each dog’s personality. My days include walks, playtime, and plenty of affection. Plus, I’ve got kids who love dogs just as much as I do, so your pup will get lots of positive attention in a fun, safe environment. As a stay-at-home mom, I have a flexible and consistent schedule that allows me to give pets plenty of time, attention, and care throughout the day. Walks, playtime, feeding, and check-ins easily fit into my daily routine, and I’m able to adjust my schedule to meet each dog’s specific needs. Your pet won’t be left alone for long and will be part of a warm, active home environment. I provide a safe, calm, and loving environment where pets are treated like part of the family. In my home, I keep spaces clean, secure, and dog-friendly, with lots of supervision, playtime, and comfortable areas to rest. I’m mindful of each dog’s personality and energy level, and I take care to introduce new environments slowly so they feel at ease.
About: As a dog and cat mom myself, I know first hand how difficult it can be to find someone trustworthy, reliable, and nurturing to care for one’s pets. I am dedicated to alleviating that worry and stress by providing professional, compassionate, high quality care when pet parents can’t be there. A former vet tech, I am especially perceptive and attuned to a pet’s medical needs, understand and adhere to veterinary instructions, and am trained to observe changes in an animal’s physical condition. I am also insured, licensed and bonded, and trained in Pet First Aid. In addition, I am a certified dog walker through the dog*tec Dog Walking Academy. The only program of its kind for dog walkers, this widely respected program covers a comprehensive array of topics critical to professional dog walking, including canine behaviour, basic training predicated on positive reinforcement, management, and First Aid and safety protocols. I have been a Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner for 4 years. I offer positive reinforcement training such as clicker training, loose leash walking, go to mat, recall, name recognition, sit, stay, leave it, reorient towards handler when crossing threshold (i.e. going through doorway). I also offer potty training advice and how to manage puppy biting. Hint: puppy biting is normal as they learn to explore their world. I provide tips and advice on how to help get through this sometimes scary, yet normal puppy development stage. 🤗 Currently available weekdays of dog walks. Currently available weekdays and weekends for drop in cat care. I have my own dog and cats and know that pets thrive on routine and consistency. I arrive for visits as scheduled. Happy greetings for dogs and cats. Dog walking: harnessed/leashed and depart for our walk. Arrival back home: take walking gear (harness/leash) off, refresh water, play or TLC time. Cat drop in visits: feeding and refresh water, give meds if applicable, scoop litter boxes. Then playtime or quiet time depending on cat’s preference.

About: I have cared for my own pets for years and have experience with cats, dogs, and bunnies. I enjoy the outdoors and love spending my free time with animals. I grew up with many pets and now that I am moved away from home and haven’t lived with them for a few years I want to help others care for their own. I am a responsible, animal loving sitter who’s great at following routines and giving pets the attention and affection they need. I offer flexible, casual pet sitting with availability on both weekdays and weekends, varying by week, and I’m always happy to coordinate schedules in advance. I prioritize safety by respecting house rules, securing doors and gates, following care instructions closely, and ensuring pets are supervised, comfortable, and safe at all times in your home.
About: I am very active and walk 4-8km almost everyday, plus hikes in fun locations on many weekends! I would love to have your pup join me for some adventures! I work from home, but find I can definitely focus better when not at home! If you have a wi-fi connection, I'm happy to make your home my office for a few hours and keep your pets company. (of course with many work breaks for pets!) I walk from my Sahali home most weekday mornings, I'm happy to pick-up from my neighborhood, or you can drop your pup to me on your way to work (I'm more flexible at the end of the walk to drive them home!) I am training for some ambitious summer goals and will be adding more time and distance, so I might also be able to accommodate walks at other times of day as well. Reach out and let me know what you're looking for! I also love getting out for hikes on a lot of weekends if you have a pup that likes longer adventures. For pet visits, I'm happy to work from your home with a wifi connection and keep your pet company during the day. The easiest times for me to do this are within school hours (10am-3pm) I'm always aware of the environment and watching for wildlife or other dogs on the trails. I want to make sure your dog as well as other trail users we meet are comfortable on their walk! I'm happy to learn your dog or cats specific needs and adapt my routine or plan to make sure they are safe and happy.
“These guys are so great. Super accommodating and just really pleasant folk. My pup is big and tends to throw his weight around, so I really love when I can find a male/female team! He absolutely adores them.”

About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was a kid, I continue to foster and take care of my own dog. I have alot of experience with senior dogs as I owned a small chihuahua into his geriatric years. I have also taken care of puppies many times and taught basic training. I work part time and am home alot. Along with that when I am working I’m able to come home and provide potty breaks. We live an active lifestyle so most times the dogs come with me wherever I go! We take extreme safety with our own dog and will continue with others ! We would take dogs on lots of walks and dog park if owner is comfortable. We like to play and cuddle any furry friend that comes our way!
About: Animal lover with a lot of free time. I recently had to put my jack russell down after rescuing her 9 years ago and am not ready to add another fur baby permanently to my life at this time. I absolutely love dogs and your pet will be very well looked after in my care. I would love to spend time with dogs of all breeds while I fill this void as I'm missing having my little doggo around. I have my niece in my home part time who is currently enrolled in dog handling and very experienced with different breeds. I love nature and going for walks and I live close to many parks and trails. Looking forward to spending time with your animals💕
“Having 2 senior dogs that have their own set of care needs, we were hesitant to hire outside of friends and we are incredibly thankful for finding Kaitlyn on Rover! She went above and beyond the call of duty especially with our 16 yr old lab who has mobility issues and requires a special harness for walking. He is also incredibly smart and has her trained to pay him with treats as he goes lol. We are definitely going to have Kaitlyn care for our pups again! Kaitlyn is conscientious, kind, loving, respectful and if we could give 5++ stars we would!”

“Sydney was easy to communicate with and super accommodating. She did us a great service taking a dog for a few hours so we could enjoy the Cultus Lake Adventure park. She kept our dog in a cool air conditioned place during one of the hottest days of the summer. Definitely recommend Sydney to others.”

“Jillian has been a fantastic help with Milo. We have seen how excited Milo gets when he sees her. She is very consistent with taking him for walks and always keeps me up to date with how the walk worked out. I felt very at ease leaving him with her and would reconnect her to anyone.”

About: I’ve grown up with pets my entire life and have taken on many dog-sitting jobs over the years, so caring for animals feels very natural to me. I’m comfortable with both cats and dogs and genuinely enjoy spending time with them. I’m patient and gentle, and I make sure each pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. I’m happy to look after pets of all ages, from playful puppies to senior pets who may need a little extra care and attention. I’m currently a full-time university student, but my schedule is flexible enough to fit pet care into my daily routine. I’m able to drop in during the day to visit, feed, and spend time with your pets, and I’m also available to stay overnight. My weekends are very flexible, which allows me to dedicate more time to caring for pets and staying in your home to make sure they feel comfortable and well looked after while you’re away. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I make it a priority to follow the routines and instructions provided by the owner. I understand that pets feel most comfortable when their normal schedule is maintained, so I make sure to stick closely to feeding times, walks, playtime, and any other specific care instructions. I’m reliable, attentive, and comfortable following detailed directions to make sure your pet receives the best care possible. Your pet’s safety and well-being are always my top priority, and I take the necessary precautions to ensure they stay safe, comfortable, and happy while you’re away.
“Angela has been fantastic with my dog! She is reliable and friendly plus consistent, which in my opinion is very important. I know that my pup gets his walks 4 days per week, which alleviates pressure off me, from a long work week. Thank you so much Angela ! Nanuq is so happy that you are there to walk him every week ...as am I 😊”

Amazing experience! Teresa was incredibly accommodating, understanding, and punctual. Her communication was excellent — quick responses and super clear updates every time. She also took multiple photos, and honestly, they’re some of the best pictures I have of my dog to this day. I felt completely at ease knowing my pup was in such caring hands. Highly recommend! 🐶✨

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Kamloops choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
