“Very good with animals , our huskies liked her right away as if they’ve known her for years. Highly recommended! Showed up on time and asked all the right questions.”

“Lauren was awesome! I was very anxious about leaving my kitty alone, and she made sure she was snuggled and cared for while I was away. She sent update pictures every day, and it was so comforting to see that she was in good hands. She even got my kitty a new lil catnip toy! Great communication, and highly recommend :)”

“Walter was amazing with my cat Ducky over the past four nights! My cat is usually very scared and shy, but was perfectly fine around Walter. He was also very flexible and allowed me to shift my bookings back three hours with short notice. It was so nice to not have to worry over the holidays knowing that my cat was well taken care of. I will definitely be booking with him again in the future and would recommend his services to anyone who wants the best care for their pet!”

About: I am living my dream!!! I have been dog sitting for the last 7 years and have loved every minute of it. In my past employment, I had always been in a care taker role and I am now taking my compassion, kindness and dedication and helping dogs feel safe and comfortable when in my care. I understand that each dog has their own unique needs and temperament, and I am willing to go out of my way to make sure they get their own specialized care. I have experience in administering medication and in senior dog care. I am insured and have dog first aid and CPR training. Your dog’s well-being is my priority. I don’t see dog sitting as a job but rather a chosen lifestyle. Pet Care is my full time job. I am doing what I love and loving what I do. For in my home dog sitting, my 23 year old son lives with me and has been helping with the business from day one. He shares my love for animals. We are both reserved individuals and can offer a quiet home atmosphere with lots of spare time to spend with your dog(s) playing, walking and cuddling. I also offer dog sitting in your home if that is what would work best for your pup(s). I can offer a quaint home environment. Your dog(s) is/are allowed on my furniture and in my bed. I have a fully fenced in backyard with room to run and play. I live in a dog friendly neighborhood were there are lots of places to walk and I have trails nearby. I do my best to follow any routines and rules. Familiarity is key to creating a comfortable stay. I also offer dog sitting in your home if that is what would work best for your pup(s).

“I highly highly recommend Mel. My dog has separation anxiety and even though he does well with people, whenever I've left him somewhere, I can tell he's still somewhat stressed. That wasn't the case with Mel. I picked up a very happy dog :-) Thank you Mel for taking such good care of my furbaby.”

About: With a decade of hands-on experience working with animals, my days revolve around the delightful company of my dog, cat and horse. When I’m not at home hanging out with my pets, I’m at the barn where I am trusted to care for over a dozen horses (and a pig!). Through my time not only with my animals at home, but at the barn as well, I’ve cultivated a deep understanding of the diverse needs and personalities of our four-legged companions. As a cat, dog, and horse owner, as well as a trusted neighbourhood pet sitter, I understand the unique bond we share with our furry friends, as well as the importance creating an environment filled with love, care, and endless belly rubs in your absence! I look forward to meeting your adorable companions. I have a dog and a cat of my own that I adore and spend most of my time caring and tending to. That includes making sure they are being fed a healthy and balanced diet, that they get their exercise either through games at home or walks around the neighbourhood, and that they are happy and content! I also have a horse that I go to visit and exercise nearly everyday, and when I am not with my horse I am being trusted to care for the other 19 horses, a dog, three cats, and a pig. My duties include feeding each animals their respective meals, cleaning out each stall, filling up water pales, feeding them hay, turning them out to their fields, and completing any other duties given to me by any of the owners. It makes for a busy week, but I wouldn’t have it any other way! When I’m at home, I start the day by feeding my dog and cat their first meal of the day. After that, I let my dog outside, and make sure they both ate their food and that everything is normal. During the day, I will typically run around with my cat as he is still a kitten and has lots of energy! I will also take my dog for a walk around the neighbourhood as often as possible to make sure she is exercised and happy. At lunch, my kitten is usually sleeping, but my dog will get her lunch and then the day is pretty calm until they both get their dinner! When I’m at a clients house, I will feed, exercise, and care for each animals as directed to me. And, at the barn, my duties include feeding, watering, turning out each horse to their respective field, cleaning stalls, cleaning the floor, making their grained food, and finally bringing them back in for the night!

About: A little bit about me... I joined Rover to get out and about during this difficult time with man's best friend. Not being able to have a dog of my own is sad. I would love to share my love of dogs and animals with you and your pet(s). - I was born and raised in Ontario, Canada. - I’ve been interested in fitness, wellness and nutrition since I was about 13 years old, researching everything I could know about it, in my spare time. - I graduated college with a Social Service Worker diploma, after that, I went to school to become a paramedic but halfway through realized it wasn’t for me. I am now in college to become a medical office administrator. Truly, it takes time to find out what you are meant to do. - I’m a perfectionist about EVERYTHING. - I’m a night person but also prefer not to spend my day sleeping Random points but they let you know-how genuine, compassionate and reliable I am! I work full time but work remote 2 days a week with flexible hours. I also have a 9-5 jobs so I can support your pets if you work different hours. I am almost always free on weekends and holidays to meet your pets needs and give you time to relax I have a calming, relaxing and loving energy that pets typically love. I want a pet of my own but with what still seems like a recent loss, I would love to give the time, energy and love I have to your pet.

I can dog sit at my place during the day. Will update when that changes

About: I watch Ceaser Millan videos daily, as I have 3 huskies that benefit from his skill set! They are doing amazing, where I can walk all three of them and they follow the dog sledding commands such as Ha - Left, Ge - Right, Straight Ahead, Wo - Slow down, Stop, and Wait. I'll attach my son's ShiPoo to the pack also, and she walks with them, people stop and wave loving it! Now I'm getting them to walk beside me instead of in front, so I can rollerblade with them in the spring. I have a shoulder pack to put the ShiPoo in if she gets tired, and one for the cat also! I am training the huskies now to include the cat in the pack, removing their prey drive so that the cat can walk with all of us. I'm currently working part-time, and have availability between 12-3 pm preferably. I can offer some flexibility in scheduling as I work for myself along with another part-time job driving the school bus. I probably won't offer care in my home at this time, unless the client is comfortable having their pet play with my 3 huskies. It depends on how social your pet is and/or if it needs social training.

Marcie W.
“MARCIE is absolutely the BEST. No request is too difficult for her . She will love your pet as if it were her own . She follows your instructions as to medication , feeding , exercise and most of all loving . My dogs have been her sleeping companions with her on her bed ... have been taken to the vet if she felt there was a situation she could not handle . All belongings are returned washed . She will even deliver your pet to your home if it is feasible and within her daily schedule - ex. you return very late from a long trip --- you can sleep in a bit as she will deliver the dog(s) to your home in the morning NOT charging you for the day ------ In any case your pet will be the most fortunate fur baby should Marcie look after it -- often in no hurry to come home. Happy to see you but its ok ill stay another day ! Sylvia C”

Got lots of photo updates (including him cuddling with her on the couch which he NEVER does, the traitor!) and he came back happy and, more importantly, sleepy after playing with her greyhound and Bouvier (who are also MAJOR sweethearts) all weekend. I could tell by my dog's attitude when we went to pick him up that he had a great time and really trusted her!”

Gabrielle B.
“Gabby took care of my boy Norbert over a weekend while I was away and she was absolutely fantastic! He's a little apprehensive when it comes to strangers and she took her time and made sure he was comfy, and sent us all the pictures so it felt like we were still there! She was also very clean and made sure our boy left no messes (he is a tad messy when he eats). Norbert does have some health issues as he is an old man, and she was extremely considerate in regards to his old age. She was a joy to have and was extremely professional and polite, will definitely be hiring her again!”

Kelsey C.
“Kelsey’s calm and confident approach around my German Shepherd is fantastic. After briefly meeting him I knew Kelsey was capable to take full responsibility of his necessary walks. Now I have a tail-wagging very happy puppy whenever Kelsey is around and I am a very happy pet owner knowing I’ve found someone I can trust and count on.”

Laura B.
“Laura is by the far the best pet sitter/trainer I have ever met in this area! I just recently got a puppy 4 months ago, and I had no idea what I was doing. Laura was there for me through the whole thing and still is to this day. Every question or problem I have, I contact Laura right away and she answers immediately or gets back to me as soon as possible. She is kind, hardworking, trustful, and loving to not just my puppy, but she gives love and attention to the other pets we have. She goes out of her way to do everything and anything to every pet and pet owner. She comes to you so it makes things easier on you and if you have a very busy schedule. So glad I found her and that my puppy and pets loves her! He is so smart for being 6 months old and I couldn't thank Laura enough for helping me through this journey. She has also given me training tips and tricks so that my puppy listens to me!”

Andreea S.
“Our mini dachshund just loves her. Anytime we say her name he runs to the door and whines until we get there with excitement. Hands on friendly pet loving sitter. We never worry when Charlie is with her as she treats him just like her own💜 I highly recommend 10 stars!!”
