For your complete peace of mind, I am legally registered as an independent provider here in Ontario, specializing strictly in boutique, personalized home care for small-to-medium pups under 40 lbs and drop-in visits for local cats. (Please note that I only accept guest pets who are at least 1 year of age and fully house-trained.) My goal is to offer a true boutique, home-away-from-home experience. Whether you choose my doggy daycare or overnight boarding services, your pup will be treated as part of the family and will be a wonderful daily companion for my own sweet dog, Ruby! Pups here enjoy free roam of my cozy family spaces, meaning they are never isolated and get plenty of love, structure, and playtime. If a dog happens to be in a chewing phase, I am completely comfortable managing it safely by keeping household items up and completely away from their reach. To set every guest up for success, I use a specific structure for introducing new clients. When a new pup arrives, I keep them completely separate from my dog at first so they can calmly check out my yard and get familiar with the surrounding community on a quick walk. After about 20 minutes of decompression time, I will introduce them to Ruby via the safety gate between my kitchen and living space. This step is incredibly important for keeping the energy cool and collected, as my 3-year-old beagle is always highly excited to meet new friends and doesn't always know her own boundaries since she is an only pup herself! To keep everyone happy and relaxed throughout the rest of their stay, I use my kitchen area—which has a full view of the living room—to separate my dog and the guest pup when it's time to wind down. This gives them their own space to relax, drink water, and rest. I serve dinner around 5:00 PM using structured 20-minute intervals to encourage calm eating times and ensure they don't eat each other's food. Guests get plenty of outdoor time in my yard every 2 to 4 hours, and if a visiting pup walks nicely on a leash, I also love taking them for short walks during the day to give them a little extra breathing room. About: I’ve owned and taken care of animal ranging from large dogs and horses to guinea pigs and chinchillas. I even worked on a hobby farm taking care of rams and chickens in Australia! I have owned and cared for animals with specific medical conditions and I am confident in administer different medications and making sure the pet is as comfortable as can be! My family is from Vancouver island and I have recently graduated from Western and currently working in London as a remote Translator/ Editor for an Education Agency ! I am available most days throughout the day, and short notice! I would love to dedicate part of my day to getting to know your amazing furry friends! I am comfortable taking dogs on long hikes or to parks. I often take my family dogs on trail walks and runs and I love taking trips to the dog beach so they can get a swim on hot days.
