About: Hello and welcome! I’m excited to be opening my home to pet parents who need a safe, loving spot for their furry family members during work days, vacations, or while traveling through the area. As a dedicated dog mom to my sweet beagle Ruby, I know how important it is to find someone you truly trust. I'm an avid reader and am currently studying through self-paced correspondence right from home. Because my studies are entirely at my own pace, I'm right around the house all day long unless I'm stepping out for school runs. Your pets will rarely be left alone and will always have company! Experience & Background: My love for animals goes back as far as I can remember—I grew up always having cats and dogs around, and I've carried that lifelong passion for animal care with me ever since. In addition to a lifetime of everyday pet ownership, I graduated from the University of Guelph Ridgetown Campus in 2015 with a Veterinary Office Administration certificate, which included hands-on training and vet assistant experience. While offering professional care through this platform is a new chapter for me, keeping animals safe, comfortable, and loved is second nature. Pet care is a part-time side gig that I run alongside my studies, keeping my schedule structured and flexible for a few furry guests at a time. - Smoke-free home with a fully fenced backyard (4 to 5 feet tall) that backs onto neighbouring yards. - For in-home stays, pets are closely supervised, kept company throughout the day, and integrated smoothly into our routine alongside my friendly beagle, Ruby. - For cat drop-in visits in your home, I follow your exact care instructions and routines. - Safe local pickup and drop-off are also available using a clean back seat with protective covers and dog seatbelt leashes.
“Carol and family was a second home to Bauer! They took great care and we knew he was well looked after all weekend. We will definitely have Carol look after Bauer in the future without hesitation. Thank you so much!”

“Wags spent 10 nights with Wanda and I am very happy with my first experience with both Wanda and Rover. Everything went smoothly, from our first meet and greet, to picking Wags up after his stay. I was so happy to receive a few photos of Wags enjoying his stay and to hear that he fit right in with Wanda in her home. I will not hesitate to use her again and to recommend her to others looking for a comfortable and loving home for their pets.”

“This was Skye second boring at Sayalis place and he seems to love it. Sayali has been very patient and caring while we adapt him to sleepover somewhere else. I would 100% recommend.”

“Lynn and Jeff were great sitters for our frenchie Dozer. They were very responsive to our messages and Lynn sent pictures daily of a dozer to keep in touch with us while we were away. We will definitely be calling on Lynn and Jeff next time we need a sitter for Dozer.”

“Mohiny & Lucas O. were the best puppy sitters ever!! We met for a meet and greet and connected with them right away - we just knew they would take exceptional care of our pet. Their genuine love of animals was evident from the start. Our pet was very happy with them and enjoyed all the walks she took with Mohiny & Lucas O. Mohiny & Lucas O. sent us lots of pictures of our pet in action and kept us very well informed about how she was eating, resting, and playing throughout her time with them. We would happily have them look after our pet anytime knowing that she will be very well cared for and loved. Thank you, Mohiny & Lucas!!”

“Bernadette is incredible! We are so lucky to have found her to care for our dog. It was our first time leaving our older dog and she immediately put us at ease with frequent updates, photos and a clear love for dogs. Throughout our time away, she provided phenomenal care of our dog, provided excellent updates and communication and demonstrates so much care and expertise. Bernadette truly understood our dogs personality and made his stay the best. We would absolutely love to have her mind our dog again and would recommend her to all of our friends and family! Thank you Bernadette and family for the best care of our dog!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
