As an out of towner looking for last minute doggie daycare she was easy to communicate with and made the process easy. She took care in slowly introducing Riley to her other dogs so that all the dogs could have the best interactions. Thanks for watching Riley today!

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and truly can’t imagine life without them. I currently share custody of my golden retriever Flynn, having dogs has taught me so much about patience, consistency, and how important it is to give dogs both structure and love. I also had the incredibly meaningful experience of fostering a rescue dog through Barney’s Furry Friends. She was found abandoned and needed patience, structure, and a lot of love to feel safe again. That experience taught me so much about building trust, understanding dog behavior, and supporting dogs with anxiety or past trauma. Because of this, I’m very attentive, compassionate, and tuned into each dog’s unique personality and needs. Whether your dog is energetic, shy, or somewhere in between, I aim to make them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for like they’re my own. I’ve also cared for several friends’ dogs and currently help look after a golden retriever in my neighborhood, so I’m comfortable with different personalities, energy levels, and routines. Whether it’s a relaxed drop-in visit, an energetic walk, or just spending quality time keeping your dog company, I’m happy to adapt to what your dog needs. I’m reliable, attentive, and genuinely enjoy being around dogs. I can also support basic training like reinforcing good leash manners and simple commands if that’s something you’re working on. My goal is to make sure your dog feels safe, happy, and well cared for while giving you peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands. 🐾 Pet care is already a natural part of my daily routine. I currently help care for my own dogs as well as a dog in my neighborhood, so I’m very used to planning my day around walks, check-ins, and making sure dogs get the attention and exercise they need. While I do currently have another job, I’m actively building my dog walking and pet care services with the goal of making this my full-time focus. I’m committed to being reliable, communicative, and consistent, and I carefully manage my schedule to ensure every dog I care for gets the time and attention they deserve. I genuinely love incorporating dog care into my day it doesn’t feel like work to me, and I’m excited to continue growing this into something long-term. 🐾 I provide pet care in a safe, attentive, and structured way, always prioritizing each pet’s comfort and well-being. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow all instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walk routines, medications if needed, and any specific rules the owner has in place. For dog walks and drop-in visits, I ensure pets are always securely leashed and supervised at all times. I avoid off-leash areas unless explicitly approved by the owner, and I pay close attention to the dog’s behaviour, environment, and safety during every visit. While I do not have a fenced yard and I only have my own dogs part-time, this service is focused on walks and in-home care, where pets remain under direct supervision. I make sure every pet feels calm, cared for, and safe, and I always provide updates so owners have peace of mind while they’re away.

About: Growing up I’ve had pitbulls, chihuahuas, hedgehogs , hamsters, bunnies, lizards and snakes growing up. Love having animals around, just not ready for any full time of our own, Thought this was a great step! I have 3 kids in school, I hike 4-6 times a week, I love bringing dogs with me so ask about my daily pricing but I usually charge an hour fee ( with a small pickup fee to cover gas) and we are gone for 1.5-6 hours of exercise depending on the day. Sometimes we are with other furry friends or people friends, I can work with off leash or on leash and we usually focus on free time and working on the dogs recall, sit and manners with other explorers. On hot days we like to wander down to the dog beach where we have been working on swimming skills I have a backyard, and some acreage beside us. Love hikes and going to the river. Always ready for any adventure your dog is ready for even if it means staying home and getting some rest.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 4 years and have experience with a wide range of personalities, ages, and breeds. As the owner of a reactive Border Collie mix, I understand the importance of patience, structure, positive reinforcement, and reading canine body language. I have experience with puppies, adult dogs, senior dogs, medication administration, feeding routines, enrichment activities, and daily exercise. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their family is away I’m currently flexible and able to provide pet care throughout the week, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays with advance notice. As an active person who regularly walks, hikes, and trains with my own dog, I can accommodate dogs with varying exercise needs. I strive to maintain each pet’s normal routine to help them feel comfortable and reduce stress while their owners are away Your pet’s safety and well-being are my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, triggers, preferences, and medical needs before providing care. I have experience handling nervous and reactive dogs and always use appropriate safety measures during walks and outings. I provide regular updates, photos, and communication so you can feel confident that your pet is receiving attentive, compassionate care while you’re away. My approach is calm, patient, and focused on creating a positive experience for both pets and their owners

About: Nicole and I share a lifelong bond with pets, having grown up surrounded by them. Throughout our adult lives, we've been dedicated pet owners, currently cherishing our 5-year-old dog, Bowser. From puppyhood, we've diligently trained him, and my work-from-home setup has allowed for ample time to prioritize his training and exercise needs. In addition to our canine companion, I have a rich history of caring for cats, involving tasks such as feeding, cleaning litter, and ensuring their safety outdoors, a responsibility I've carried since childhood. Nicole, on the other hand, has always had the joy of growing up with dogs. Our collective experiences form a foundation of pet expertise, and our shared passion for animals is reflected in the years of dedicated pet care we bring to Rover. As dedicated artists working from home and committed dog parents, Nicole and I seamlessly integrate our flexible schedules to prioritize your furry companion's needs and well being. If you'd like, my wonderful dog Bowser is eager to keep your pet company during walks or visits. I love exploring different environments, so we can hit the trails or stroll through town, depending on what your pet enjoys. Making sure bathroom breaks are on a regular schedule is a top priority for me. I'm also a fan of training and playtime, so I'll gladly tend to any other needs your pet might have. I'm here to tend to your pet's specific needs, so you can feel at ease knowing they are in good hands with their new friend.

Ryan was awesome to work with and he had my grumpy old man up on his bed cuddling with him shortly after dropping him off. Carm seemed very happy in all the pics that were sent and I felt safe leaving him there.

Rochelle has been so great with Avro. He’s been seeing her weekly for day care and did his first overnight stay with her. I appreciate that she incorporates some training throughout the day and doesn’t let Avro play too hard or too long because he’s been having some issues with his shoulder. Rochelle listened to my requests with Avro and it’s been such a weight off my mind to find someone I can trust. She has a great yard and dedicated space if separation between animals is needed. Her puppy is great with Avro and he’s happy to have a new friend! Highly recommend Rochelle for your dog care needs.

Simply put, Raine was amazing! We required daycare for our 10 year old boxer while we were traveling through Hope, and Kaiser was in great hands with Raine and her pack. We highly recommend Raine. Being older, our dog can be slow to integrate with other dogs, so we lean towards people like Raine who don't take care of many dogs at the same time. I was unsure if Kaiser would integrate with her pack, and I was comfortable if he had a relaxing solo day of daycare. Raine is obviously very talented with animals and her skills of training, and identifying comfort levels of each dog were evident in her short day with Kaiser. She integrated Kaiser into her pack and he had a great time. The photos and videos she shared had Kaisers jowls grinning from ear to ear and having fun exploring with the pack. Thanks Raine! We look forward to booking with you in the future.

  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Hope commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in BC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as the DHPP or DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
