“Wow! This is my first time using Rover and I feel so blessed I found John and Asialee! They are such a sweet family that love dogs and care for them as if they are their own! They went above and beyond with accommodating pick up and drop off around when works best for us. Great communication right from the get go till the end our trip! We will definitely use them again! Coming from someone who wasn't sure about using Rover, I would highly recommend it to people!”
“Xana was fantastic! Every step of the way very amazing and communicative, easy to work with and the girls had an absolute blast with her! Cannot recommend her enough for your fury family, I know my girls loved the big yard but the real sweet side was her home being so welcoming and accepting! I usually hate leaving my dogs and have really bad anxiety and worry about them the entire time, but for the first time I didn’t have to worry cuz xana and her family had them”

“Julie kept our dog on two recent last minute occasions which we really appreciated. Our dog was able to play with other dogs in the back yard and was very well taken care of! We're very happy and would recommend Julie's care.”

“Arshjot was awesome taking care of my dog, Hunter was very happy with his stay and he was well taken care of. Arshjot send me updates throughout Hunter’s stay. Hunter was very happy with the company of her dog and learned so much during his stay. Would definitely recommend and for sure will be coming back.”

“Jenna is a fantastic dog sitter. We left on vacation for 2weeks and Jenna take an amazing care of our 17month old Millie. Millie is an energetic puppy with very little recall training ( she knows all the tricks, very loyal and never live your side, until she is outside), we definitely need to work on that. But, Jenna managed to keep her very happy with long walks and even did some training. She'll send me pictures of Millie and ask questions if necessary. I would highly recommend Jenna and will call her again when we are going to vacation next time.”

“Raine is clearly very knowledgeable. I feel very confident leaving Rue in her care. It’s is such a relief to know that Rue-B’s needs for a calm, confident caretaker are being met over and above expectations. I highly, highly recommend Raine. Superstar status ⭐️ Thanks Raine! I have a blissfully tired dog 🙂🐕💤”

“Paulo and Cristina were absolute lifesavers for our last-minute trip to Europe! Due to unexpected administrative issues, we couldn’t bring our dog, Mousse, and they graciously accepted to care for her for an entire month with very short notice. They provided exceptional care, sending us frequent photos and videos that kept us reassured and connected. Mousse was happy, healthy, and clearly loved during her stay. Their kindness and professionalism saved our vacation, and we will always be grateful. Highly recommend this wonderful family to anyone needing top-notch pet care!”

“Rochelle was quick to respond and professional from the start of communication to pickup time. Our minds were at ease as soon as we met her. Our big dogs loved her backyard and came home happy and tired! We would definitely book again and recommend her to friends.”

“We have used Jimmy’s services twice and I can’t imagine using anyone else. This last time was for 3 weeks with both of our dogs and they were incredibly cared for and happy. Plus Jimmy sent us pictures constantly which was really appreciated. Thank you for everything Jimmy! I know Loki and Arte miss you guys already!”

From puppyhood, we've diligently trained him, and my work-from-home setup has allowed for ample time to prioritize his training and exercise needs. In addition to our canine companion, I have a rich history of caring for cats, involving tasks such as feeding, cleaning litter, and ensuring their safety outdoors, a responsibility I've carried since childhood. Nicole, on the other hand, has always had the joy of growing up with dogs. Our collective experiences form a foundation of pet expertise, and our shared passion for animals is reflected in the years of dedicated pet care we bring to Rover. About: I lost my Great Pyrenees 2 years ago. Since then my girlfriend and I fostered 3 dogs for about 9 months in total. It was hard but very rewarding. I miss hanging with dogs but can’t necessarily commit to my own. I work full time but just five minutes away. My 19 year old daughter lives with me. She has a cat but they are in a separate space. I love going to for walks around the neighborhood, along the dyke, Hope Slough, or the Vedder river. I have a fenced backyard but it’s gravel, a large deck and a garden (no grass). There is grass in the front yard but it’s not fenced. Your pup would have full access to the house but there are stairs up to the main level and stairs going outside. I don’t mind having pups on the couch or my bed. I enjoy the company. My house is pretty quiet. Dogs usually like watching the squirrels and neighborhood activities from my large front window. My 19 year old daughter lives in the basement suite with her cat. She loves animals too and can help with walks and potty breaks when I am at work. I find having a dog gives me purpose and joy. I can’t commit to a dog right now so this seems like a great alternative!
“Ashleigh provided excellent care for Freddie. We were afraid he wouldn't want to leave with us after the fun time he had there. She was very flexible to our schedule which changed a few times.”

About: My partner and I completed vet school in Brazil in 2019, and we are currently doing a grad school in Applied Animal Welfare at UBC. During our personal and professional lives, we got a lot of experience with dogs and cats, so I guarantee your pet will have the best care. We also miss our dog and cat while we are in Canada, and taking care of your pet will be a way of feeling close to them ❤️🐾 Bianca does most of the pet sitting but Rodrigo (her partner) helps whenever he can. This allows us to have higher availability to take care of your pet. Both have a very flexible schedule with their studies, so they can adapt to the days and time that work best for you. We are currently living in a house with fenced yard. We would love to share our space with your pet! We also live in a calm neighborhood with lots of areas to walk. For cats, our space is securely close to guarantee your cat’s safety.

“Ryan was awesome to work with and he had my grumpy old man up on his bed cuddling with him shortly after dropping him off. Carm seemed very happy in all the pics that were sent and I felt safe leaving him there.”

About: Growing up I’ve had pitbulls, chihuahuas, hedgehogs , hamsters, bunnies, lizards and snakes growing up. Love having animals around, just not ready for any full time of our own, Thought this was a great step! I have 3 kids in school, I hike 4-6 times a week, I love bringing dogs with me so ask about my daily pricing but I usually charge an hour fee ( with a small pickup fee to cover gas) and we are gone for 1.5-6 hours of exercise depending on the day. Sometimes we are with other furry friends or people friends, I can work with off leash or on leash and we usually focus on free time and working on the dogs recall, sit and manners with other explorers. On hot days we like to wander down to the dog beach where we have been working on swimming skills I have a backyard, and some acreage beside us. Love hikes and going to the river. Always ready for any adventure your dog is ready for even if it means staying home and getting some rest.

About: Our experience with animals extends far beyond casual pet ownership. We’ve spent years living closely alongside dogs and other animals in ways that required attentiveness, structure, adaptability, handling skills, and an ongoing willingness to learn and observe the individual in front of us. We have experience with a wide range of temperaments, energy levels, routines, and care needs — from highly active working-type dogs requiring engagement and structure, to sensitive dogs needing slower introductions and emotional awareness, to senior dogs benefiting from patience, comfort, and mobility-conscious care. Our approach is rooted less in domination or rigid expectation, and more in communication, observation, consistency, and building trust. We pay close attention to body language, stress levels, pacing, environmental influences, social comfort, and how each animal is coping and responding throughout the day. Daily life for us already revolves heavily around animals, outdoor time, enrichment, movement, and hands-on care, so dogs staying with us are integrated into an environment where attentiveness and involvement are already part of the rhythm of the home rather than something added on temporarily. We’re continually interested in learning more about behaviour, handling, enrichment, health, relationship dynamics, and the many small details that help animals feel understood, supported, and safe. Dogs are already a very integrated part of our daily lives and routines. Much of our time is naturally spent outdoors, moving between walks, training, enrichment, animal care, and day-to-day life alongside our own dogs and horses. Because of that, dogs staying with us are joining an environment where attentiveness, structure, companionship, and engagement are already consistently present rather than needing to be artificially created around a schedule. Our routines tend to include a balance of outdoor time, decompression, structured movement, rest, observation, and calm companionship throughout the day. We adjust pacing and activity levels depending on the individual dog — some thrive with more exploration and engagement, while others benefit more from slower routines, shorter outings, and a quieter atmosphere. Since animal care is already deeply woven into how we live, dogs in our care are not simply being “checked in on” between unrelated commitments. They are intentionally included in the flow of daily life with close presence, supervision, and consideration given to their comfort, energy, and overall well-being throughout the day. Each service from us consists of attentive, quality care tailored to your pet's individual needs and comforts, with consideration for healthy growth within their capacity. We care about creating a safe place for precious lives to challenge themselves, bond, play, rest, grow and thrive. Our care comes with one on one time with their handler, obedience training, loving boundaries, outdoor play time, opportunity to socialize with other pets, safe down time and emotional regulation as well as advocating protection throughout their experience with us.
