“Emma is a lifesaver! She is super proffesional, and quick to respond. It's been wonderful to have her drop in for a walk on days when my husband and I are working long hours. My dog absolutely adores her.”

About: I've had pets of all shapes and sizes in my life since I can remember. Most recently, I was loving mom to two rescues; a Border Collie and Meximutt. Sadly, we lost both girls in 2024. I miss the walks, cuddles, and company. We aren’t yet ready for a new pup, but have lots of love to give yours! I have lots of experience with administering medications, dog reactivity, and dog anxiety. I believe in reward based training, and am certified in canine massage therapy. I've participated in Barn Hunt, Nose Work and K9 Zulu Warrior Challenges with my dogs, and enjoy providing enrichment or nose work activities. We used to struggle to find a place without other dogs that could care for our dogs complex needs. I can now provide that safe, warm, loving space where your dog will be treated like a member of the family, and receive exceptional care. My work allows flexibility in my schedule, so I can adapt my routine. My husband works from home as well, so accommodating pee breaks, walks or medications throughout the day is easy. We have a private fenced yard space, as well as a large open yard, and a fenced dog park in town, depending on your dogs scene. In our home dogs are allowed on the couch for cuddles, and are welcome to sleep in the bed, unless you prefer they be crated. We have a large crate, slow bowls, bowl stands, water dishes, blankets, beds and toys available. We provide regular updates, photos and communication about your pet while you're away. It is important to note we have a senior cat, so any dogs must have cat experience. We also live in an area that frequently has squirrels, raccoons, and deer in the yard, so dogs with high prey drive may not be a good fit.

“Ilana was great! We were traveling in an RV caravan and she met us all at our campground and she met with all of the dogs and their owners and the following day she showed back up to walk all of our dogs! She did a great job while we were all away on an excursion!”

About: No longer a dog owner, but have my grand-dog for vacation stays & outdoor adventures. I walk and/ or run daily and I am a former regional physical activity consultant always on the move. I’m semi- retired and a triathlon coach educator with periodic contracts. My daily routine includes swim, bike and run workouts. I love being outdoors all year round. I’m looking to walk dogs. Our grand-dog, Joey is a young NS Duck Toller who is well trained so we use the same commands he is used to. When he stays with us we keep the same routines and activity levels he is accustomed to ( mostly trails or the local beach) for him each day. Recognizing that each breed and dog has different needs for physical activity, consistency is important.

About: Last year I had the pleasure of meeting many loveable dogs through Rover! Unfortunately I took a break due to an injury but am excited to be back! I have had the pleasure of being around dogs of all ages all my life. In 2023 my fiance and I welcomed our first (own) puppy to our little family who has quickly become the centre of our world. Our now 1.5year old boy is a well behaved and energetic pup who is eager to meet other dogs. I hope you give me the opportunity to spread the love to your critters! I do live a busy lifestyle, and currently am working rotational shift work. Unfortunately that means I’m not the best fit for a typical Monday-Friday. However I have the advantage of several consecutive days away from work in a row. If you have any specific dates you’re looking for a sitter, dog walking, or playdates with my golden please do not hesitate to reach out. I have a (non-fenced in) back yard located on a quiet street in Wolfville. We are located walking distance to many walking trails and parks.

Jessica S.
“Jessica is a very responsible, fun loving dog person! You can tell just how much she cares for each dog, making sure that they feel right at home in her living space. Jessica loves taking the dogs for walks in the park and on hiking trails, bringing along a ball for fun. Jessica is very able to meet all needs for any dog, having had experience giving medicine orally and in the ears of dogs, dealing with the cone and different surgeries, and also dealing with bad separation anxiety issues. Jessica would be an absolutely perfect fit for dogs that are big, small, strong on the leash, or old. She's dealt with a large variety of dogs in the past, and is very much able to adapt to any situation.”
