“Trang speaks the language of Love & Care for our pet Kojo. It was a great experience & we will consider her in our future visits to Montréal. She engaged Kojo in a lot of activities with other dogs, she invited him to Hersey's birthday & she even gave him a bath when she felt he is in need of it. Thanks for Kojo's Cadeau that you gave him the last day in your care. You always deserve the best. God bless you.”

We’ve always been the people our family and friends rely on when they need someone to care for their pets. Having both grown up with dogs and cats, we’re very comfortable around animals and genuinely enjoy spending time with them. Since we don’t currently have pets of our own, we love being able to care for them through this app. We are a couple of engineers working full-time from home, which allows us to be very present and attentive throughout the day. We typically go for walks in the morning, at lunch, and in the evening. We truly enjoy the company of all animals — dogs, cats, small, large, shy, or playful — each one gets our full attention and care. We have a large yard surrounded by cedar hedges, providing a safe outdoor space. We’re also comfortable using crates if needed, depending on your pet’s routine. Since we don’t have pets of our own, yours will receive our full focus and attention. We both work from home full-time, ensuring constant presence. One of us is self-employed with a highly flexible schedule, allowing us to easily adapt to your pet’s specific needs throughout the day. We provide regular updates and photos so you can feel at ease while you’re away.
“Victoria was amazing! Professional and easy to communicate with, I felt completely as ease leaving Kalah with her for the day because upon arrival her calm energy matched my dogs needs and my dog Kalah felt completely & safe. Would love to use her when I’m back in Montreal one day. She also had a great house and hard ❤️my pup was good and tired at night”

“Max was getting very anxious when he sees that we are getting ready to head out and doesn't touch his food. Misa took care of Max and took hom for walks. Max looked happy and he ate as well at her place. Her 2 dogs are also very friendly and accommodating to other dogs.”

About: Hi there! My name is Patricia, and I am absolutely crazy about animals. There are four of us at home—me, my husband, and our dog. My husband loves animals just as much as I do, but he works outside the house. I have an 11-year-old Maltese named Gotham (yes, like Batman’s city haha)! I have many years of experience caring for various species, including dogs, cats, and birds, and I’m always open to learning more and caring for other animals. I’m skilled at giving lots of kisses and hugs while maintaining a clean and safe environment for your pet. Every animal has its own personality and personal space that needs to be respected. I make sure each pet gets the attention, affection, and fun they need while they are with me, and I do everything necessary to ensure your pet is comfortable and well cared for. Let me take care of your pet—I will love them like my own! If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I stay at home all day and I usually take a walk with the dogs one time in the morning and one time in the afternoon. I let them free to play with the toys I have and to take a nap when they want to. I'm very attentive and always keep a close eye on my surroundings to make sure the dogs have everything they need to feel comfortable and safe. I live in a comfortable and bright appartment, with 2 balconys: a big one that it is nice to have a walk and another small one with some furniture to take some sunlight on the skin (my dog loves it).
“Sarah was very responsive communicator. My plans changed and Sarah was patient with me. May is anxious with new people but she warmed up to Sarah quicker than ever. I was comforted by videos of May being walked with two other “friends”. I know that May was well cared for because on the second day she pulled me up to Sarah’s door! I highly recommend daycare and grooming with Sarah!”

There is always one of us home to take care of the dogs, give medication, take them out for a walk or just cuddle up with them. We have a two floor house with a backyard which makes it easy to manage two dogs or more. We are Very comfortable with administering medications (we had a dog with cancer medication and another with seizure medication)
“Nomida a été absolument fantastique avec mon petit chiot. D’un tempérament un peu anxieux, elle a su le mettre à l’aise et m’a envoyé des photos tout au long de la journée. Il dormait comme un bébé sur le chemin du retour. Je recommanderais sans hésiter et j’ai bien hâte de renouveler l’expérience ☺️”

“Sarah K is truly wonderful. From the first day Sarah and family took care of our dog, it was clear how loving and attentive they are. They took such kind, thoughtful care of our dog, and we were especially touched by how quickly our very anxious pup felt comfortable in their home. Their experience as long-time dog owners, especially with dogs who have special needs, gave us complete peace of mind. We knew our dog's need to feel safe and secure would be understood and respected, and they absolutely delivered. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. 10/10 would recommend!”

“Laura a été super attentive aux besoins de Yoshi. Yoshi l’a adopté dès les premières heures. C’est certain que la prochaine fois que j’ai besoin de faire garder Yoshi je la recontacte! Merci encore”

About: Hi there! My name is Eva and I currently work in HR within the Edtech space. Outside of work, I'm usually cuddling up with my adorable 2-year-old cat, Peanut. I'd love to help you care for your fluffy companion while you're away! Whether it's playtime, feeding, or just some TLC, I'm here to ensure your beloved companion feels right at home while you're out. I work 9-5 in a fully remote environment, so I'm usually at home and will be close by your pet. I'd love to take your dog out for walks throughout the day. I live in an apartment complex that is gated. I'm happy to work with you on any special care or requirements that may be needed so that your pet feels safe and secured at all times.
“J’ai eu une excellente expérience avec Audrey comme gardienne pour mon chien. Elle a fait preuve d’un grand professionnalisme, de douceur et d’attention. On sent immédiatement qu’elle aime les animaux, et mon chien s’est rapidement attaché à elle. À mon retour, mon chien était heureux, en confiance et visiblement très bien traité. Je recommande Audrey sans hésitation à toute personne qui cherche quelqu’un de fiable et attentionné pour s’occuper de son animal.”

“Jodie-Anne is such a kind and caring person. My dog loved her instantly and even gave her a few kisses! She was very responsive throughout the stay and kept me updated with photos and videos, which gave me great peace of mind. I would definitely trust her with my furbaby again and highly recommend her!”

Johannie is a great communicator and kept me up to date on how things were going during the dog sitting. Her place is very clean and well suited for a pet to be watched. I appreciate that she took my Husky for a walk and provided pictures of the visit. Bonus points that she speaks English, as that's my primary language. Will book again :)

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Charlemagne commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in QC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as the DHPP or DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 87% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
