“Trang speaks the language of Love & Care for our pet Kojo. It was a great experience & we will consider her in our future visits to Montréal. She engaged Kojo in a lot of activities with other dogs, she invited him to Hersey's birthday & she even gave him a bath when she felt he is in need of it. Thanks for Kojo's Cadeau that you gave him the last day in your care. You always deserve the best. God bless you.”

“My dog had really good time with Mechelle. Walking, swimming in a river, playing with baby and much more , also Mechelle was quite flexible with the day care timing as we were visiting Montreal with our friends and daily pickup and drop off timing was pretty odd as a tourist. Thank you so much for your help Michelle, definitely would like to see you again in our next Montreal visit.”

“Une autre belle journée pour Bailey.... Il est brûlé le petit.... Ne dort presque jamais dans l'auto.... Dès qu' il est monté il s'est endormi. On voit qu'il vous adore. A très bientôt.”

About: Pets have always been part of my live growing up. I am the designated sitter for friends and family. All fur babies are welcomed ! I am working full time from home. Available throughout the day to play. I am an active young woman who will take walks 2-3 times/day or as needed. I love all pets and will gladly adapt to their routine and needs to make them feel at home. I will not have any other animals in the house while taking care of yours.
“Sarah K is truly wonderful. From the first day Sarah and family took care of our dog, it was clear how loving and attentive they are. They took such kind, thoughtful care of our dog, and we were especially touched by how quickly our very anxious pup felt comfortable in their home. Their experience as long-time dog owners, especially with dogs who have special needs, gave us complete peace of mind. We knew our dog's need to feel safe and secure would be understood and respected, and they absolutely delivered. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. 10/10 would recommend!”

About: Hi there! My name is Patricia, and I am absolutely crazy about animals. There are four of us at home—me, my husband, and our dog. My husband loves animals just as much as I do, but he works outside the house. I have an 11-year-old Maltese named Gotham (yes, like Batman’s city haha)! I have many years of experience caring for various species, including dogs, cats, and birds, and I’m always open to learning more and caring for other animals. I’m skilled at giving lots of kisses and hugs while maintaining a clean and safe environment for your pet. Every animal has its own personality and personal space that needs to be respected. I make sure each pet gets the attention, affection, and fun they need while they are with me, and I do everything necessary to ensure your pet is comfortable and well cared for. Let me take care of your pet—I will love them like my own! If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I stay at home all day and I usually take a walk with the dogs one time in the morning and one time in the afternoon. I let them free to play with the toys I have and to take a nap when they want to. I'm very attentive and always keep a close eye on my surroundings to make sure the dogs have everything they need to feel comfortable and safe. I live in a comfortable and bright appartment, with 2 balconys: a big one that it is nice to have a walk and another small one with some furniture to take some sunlight on the skin (my dog loves it).
“Frederique et Alexandre ont bien pris soin de Theo et j’ai eu l’esprit tranquille pendant mon absence. Je n’hésiterais pas à les recontacter la prochaine j’ai besoin de gardien pour Theo.”

“Margot has been absolutely fantastic with Link. She always makes sure he’s comfortable and properly socialised with any other dogs she’s taking care of that day. Her love for dogs is clear and she has the skills to match. Margo is also very communicative and keeps us up-to-date with information and pictures throughout the day. Taking the boy on many walks and making sure he’s properly loved. It’s become a second home for Link, and we couldn’t be happier.”

“Willie mad us feel at ease right from the start. He was attentive to Loki’s needs. He was communicating with us throughout the day, with pictures, providing information about how our dog’s was doing with him and other furry friends. We truly appreciated the service he provided; will definitely book again!”

Dogs have always been a big part of our lives. We both grew up with them and loved every moment of it. Over the years, we've shared our home with a basset hound, a bernese mountain dog, a toy poodle, a pug, and a polish lowland sheepdog, and trained them all ourselves. Each one had their own personality and temperament, and each one taught us something new! We're an active couple and genuinely love bringing dogs along for runs or long walks. We currently don't have a dog at home, so honestly, it would be such a pleasure to go on walks and runs with yours. Whether your pup is a couch potato or a bundle of energy, we will adapt and match their style. We both work from home most days, which means our days are pretty flexible. We can easily fit drop-in visits and dog walks into our routine without it feeling rushed. Whether it's a morning walk, a midday check-in, or an afternoon visit, we're able to adapt to your pet's schedule rather than the other way around! When we come to your home, our priority is making sure your pet feels safe and comfortable in their own space. We know that animals are always more relaxed in a familiar environment, so we follow their routines, respect their habits, and take the time to let shy or nervous pets warm up to us at their own pace. For dog walks, we stay attentive at all times. We keep an eye on body language, stay in safe areas, and make sure every outing is a good experience for your pup. Your home and your pet are in careful, caring hands!
“We took our dog Harry with us on a weekend trip to Montreal, and he was not great at being alone in the hotel. I reached out to several sitters on Rover, and Sarah responded within seconds! She gladly took Harry for 2 daycare days. He got to play with other dogs versus sitting alone, which was amazing for him. Sarah was great, and Harry was very happy to go back on day 2. Thank you Sarah!”

About: I am a lifelong lover of animals but I haven't had a pet in a long while, so I am missing that connection. The happiness of a dog is contagious and I would love to be around dogs more often! I work from home and exercise regularly and thought it would be a great combo to walk with a dog. For at-home visits, I am comfortable with lots of play time and cuddles or with giving the dogs some space. I look forward to meeting your dogs! I work from home with a very flexible schedule. I am available at all times to suit your needs and will enjoy the exercise and interaction, just as much as your fur baby! I have a fenced in yard at my place, should you wish for me to board your dog outside your home. There are no children or other animals at my house, so your dog will receive full attention with cuddles if that's what they want. If your dog needs to run around and sniff, there's lots of green spaces. I also love the challenge of introducing mental stimulation with interactive toys too!
“Had an urgent last minute schedule and Steven went out his way to reassure us that we can book at the time we need, which was super super early. Really helped us out a lot with this one and Steven always does so- our dog absolutely loves Steven's dogs as well so we fortunately got to take care of everything while our dog happily stays with his friends. Thanks you always!”

- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's leash and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalized care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your L'Épiphanie commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in QC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as the DHPP or DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 88% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
