He is now 5 years old, so I’ve been caring for him every day for the past 5 years. I also regularly take care of my brother’s 5-year-old golden retriever. We also have a spacious spare bedroom reserved for the dogs, giving them their own quiet place whenever they want to rest or have some space. Ivar lives with us and can be a buddy for walks and playtime, but we also respect each dog's personality and boundaries. Some dogs want to play all day; others are perfectly happy relaxing close to us, and that's completely fine. We're also about three minutes from Plaisance park, a dog-friendly park, which gives us a great option for our daily walks.
