About: Hello, my name is Pam & I will happily take care of your Puppy, Dog, Cat or Kitten! (Or Turtle, Fish, Hedgehogs and Small Pets) I have always had a passion for all animals. Each animal has their own special personality and I enjoy learning the unique needs and qualities of each one. As a pet sitter, I offer personalized attention and affection to keep your pets happy and comfortable in a home-like environment while you are away. My services include walks, playtime, and, of course, lots of cuddles. Dogs, I have owned a sweet Beagle named Molly and an energetic Poodle Yorke cross named Harley, who have both now sadly passed. Molly required special care as she aged, giving her reg meds and building a deck potty area for her when she could no long manage the stairs. Since then I have been able to enjoy the companionship of my beloved canines by caring for friend's dogs thru the years, including puppies. I also regularly helped my son and his wife with their overnight dogsitting business, taking over when they were out and about. This gave me experience with a variety of breeds, sizes, and ages of dogs. Cats, I was born with a cat in my household and have rarely been without one, owning and training many in my life. My cat was my best friend growing up! I also had the privilege of volunteering as a foster kitten mom for many years, training and socializing nervous kittens for adoption. I have a natural bond with cats, some have referred to me as the "Cat Whisperer". Small Animals, I currently own an aquatic turtle named Clive, a goldfish friend named She-racha Nugget and an algae eater named Warf. I have previously owned hamsters, gerbils, and a Hedgehog named Emmett. I have even had the joy of caring for baby squirrels. If you have small animals that need care I am available for this as well! Message me and we will discuss a price based on the type of animal and number of visits. I'm currently working only part time fill in work close to home so have a flexible schedule to care for your pets and give them the attention they need. Dog Walking Hrs Variable Please message with your preferred times and I will get back to you. My yard is fully fenced and almost a half acre in size giving your dog plenty of space to run and play. I do have cats but have a gate to keep them separate from the dogs until the cats decide how they want to interact and I can monitor the interactions, guiding your dog in proper cat etiquette.

About: I’ve grown up around all different kinds of animals, I’ve volunteer at shelters and also worked at a dog kennel. I have two dogs of my own aswell! I currently working part time, and I have plenty of time to hang out with your pets, and give them lots of love and exercise. I will follow your instructions about your pets care/ needs and make sure I do everything that will make sure they feel comfortable and safe.
About: Having a car makes things easier for me to get around, I have been around animals my whole life and currently have one beautiful Bengal kitty. Since moving from my parents farm I've missed the company of a dog and will do my best to make your babies the happiest they can be. I will be very respectful of your home and make sure everything is how it was when I got there, I can take care of cats and dog with no problems and stay the night if needed. My favourite place to walk dogs is Nose Hill park but am flexible considering I may have to travel to your place of living. Thanks for considering me and I hope to hear from you!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Many sitters respond to requests in under an hour. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once.
Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.
A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.
Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a Athabasca stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.
Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.
You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:
- Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
- House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
- Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.
Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Athabasca choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
