About: I've taken care of cats since I was 10, and owned one most of my existence. Growing up my cat was my best friend. I fostered kittens for a number of years, including ferals, helping them socialize so they could be adopted. I housed the feral mommas as well at times, which were challenging but interesting to work with, getting them to hand feed in time. Between owning many of my own cats and the fosters, I have trained many kittens to use the scratching post instead of furniture, and to socialize with our dogs at the time. My track record with cat dog interactions has been good, and I can often get them to get along within 24 hrs, depending on how old the dog is. Puppy energy is harder to convince the cats of their safety :'D
