About: I've been working with dogs since I was 9 years old. It started at a summer camp located at my local shelter and at home with our own dogs. At 18 I helped foster 2-week-old kittens that were born in our front yard and abandoned by their mom. I have worked with many different dogs and have been house sitting since I was 16 years old with different types of dogs and different care levels, from needing to give elderly dogs medication to hyper puppies who need lots of play time. I fit in Pet care into my daily routine by waking up at a specific time every morning to take care my own dog out for a morning potty break, then it is breakfast time, then an hour after is a morning walk, after I have lunch is a shorter afternoon walk and before dinner is an evening walk, with several potty breaks scattered reasonably every 3 hours to make sure. Sometimes I take my own dog on small hikes or to the dog park to get some more socialization in. Outside of my hobbies and schooling pet care is my life. This does depend on what I am hired for, if I am hired for potty breaks and play time then I do just that, I arrive at the home, let the dog out to go potty, take a walk play with some toys. If I am housesitting, then I follow the schedule the owners have their dogs on as to not disrupt the dog's stability.

For note, I am Deaf and I use my fluent language, American Sign Language, for communication writing the paper or texting the phone. Usually, when I dog sit I stay at the dog’s house when the dog’s parents go on vacation or are gone for long weekends. I care for the dog, make sure they get fed, and are loved. We go outside and play, relax and go for walks around the neighborhood or at a park. I love to go for walks and get fresh air. When caring for pets in the home of my clients, it’s important to remember that the little one that I’m caring for is likely stressed because their mom and/or dad are gone, and there is a stranger (me) in their home. With that in mind, I typically spend more time with them than what is required by Rover because they need the extra time to feel comfortable with me. I take time to try to get to know them and help them feel more at ease. I treat them with the same amount of compassion I want for my own!

About: I have cared for my own dogs and cats for over 40 years. I have not done this professionally, other than helping out friends and families while on vacation. I will go above and beyond to make sure your pet and home is cared for while you are away. If there are gatherings I am usually the one hanging out with the dogs/cats and keeping them at ease when there are a bunch of people around. I am available early mornings and late afternoons and evenings and most weekends I am available any hours...but I have some flexibility to meet other needs. In our yard I try to train them to stay in the yard. I have done leash yard training but typically let them run around. When had a fence yard I typically left my dogs out as much as possible.

About: I have 3 of my own dogs so I know how to bathe, walk and how much attention they require. I also work in the health care industry so I am very patient and caring for other. I will treat your Animals like I would want others to treat mine! I am in school but I would be able to go in between classes or any other activities I do during the day to insure the animals are taken care of.
