About: Hello! My name is Lauren, and I am local to the Outer Banks. I have trained and cared for dogs of my own, as well as for my friends and family, for over 20 years. I am also experienced with cats and have had my own adopted cat for over 10 years. I am flexible in regards to scheduling, feeding, and other activities for your canine or feline companions! I will walk with your dog or drop in daily and spend quality time with your furry friend! I have experience working with both small and large pets with a variety of temperaments. I love animals so much that I am vegan and used to volunteer rehabilitating rescued wildlife as well as abused and neglected horses. Please make sure to read my availability section and let me know if you have any questions. I will be happy to answer them and am open to finding a solution that is a good fit for everyone! Thank you for your consideration! My daily and weekly routine is fairly flexible at this time, so I can easily accommodate a pet care schedule that works best for you! House sitting rates are for daytime doggie day care in your home. Generally, I always spend a few minutes welcoming the animal when I first arrive and assess their current state of mood and health. Then I move to refreshing food and water. While your pet is eating, I typically take care of any bathroom needs (cleaning up accidents, changing cat liter, etc.) Once your pet is satisfied with a full belly, then we turn to play time and spend the last 15 minutes of a 30 minute drop in playing with toys or cuddling if your pet doesn't feel like playing that day! :)

About: I'm not one to boast so I'll let one of my recent client reviews speak for me: From the very beginning, it was clear that our dogs were in the best possible hands. They instantly warmed up to her, and she treated them with the kind of love and attention you'd expect from a family member. She kept us updated with thoughtful messages and adorable photos, ensuring their routine was followed perfectly. It wasn't just about checking off tasks-she genuinely loved our dogs aS if they were her own, and that made all the difference. When we came home, the house was spotless, and our dogs were completely content. They adored her, and it is like they are still waiting for her to come back. She made such a lasting impression on all of us, and we feel incredibly lucky to have found someone so special. ------- I currently work remotely part-time so I have the flexibility and freedom to help others. I enjoy animals, but enjoy traveling too much to get one of my own. That's one of the reasons why I love sitting is because I get to help others when they travel with their beloved pets. It's a nice, temporary swap and change. With good instructions, I make a great sitter especially when given a checklist. I also appreciate a simple outline of the animals' routine so that I can keep their schedule and comfort levels high. I want the pet to feel like their owner went to run an errand and will be right back, even if they're actually gone for an extended period of time.

About: Experienced with animals of all ages and types. Disabilities or hyperactive. No matter the personality type, I’m sure your pet(s) and I will vibe :) I’ve been traveling the world for 6 years now and it seems everywhere I go, an animal in need finds its way to me. In my album of photos, you’ll see the kitten with big ears who we rescued from a trash can in Colombia & found a home for. The stray momma dog who kept following us home & had 8 puppies while in our care in Guatemala who we then found a foster home for. The two kittens we found along the highway in Mexico after our car broke down (coincidence… I think not!) and my sister now cares for. The big dog with the messed up eye who we rescued along with 3 kittens & 5 puppies and found homes for them all & the big dog has his eye back :) along with various other strays who we’ve taken in, found homes for or simply gave tons of love (and food) to along our travels. I don’t have any pets of my own since I just moved here and travel often, which is why I’m on this app, looking to give some love and care to animals while their owners are away :) I am a mural artist and mostly do gig work that fulfills my soul such as animal interactions such as this app provides here :) Open to having pets stay with me if needed or able to go to your home to care for them. When I had my dog, I made her homemade raw food, so if this is something you do and would want me to do while you’re away, it wouldn’t be a problem. Would love to take them hiking or on walks as well!

About: I have a dog about 70 pounds. She gets so much attention and I take her out very often. I also have a frisky cat who I love dearly. I love floofs. I also love watching all other animals. I own a bearded dragon named Bahamoot. He’s great. Animals are amazing and I just love to be of help and care for these amazing animals. I’m very lenient with animals on furniture. I’ll play with them all the time (literally) cats hold a special place in my heart. I got my first dog when I was 3 so I know how to take care of dogs. Please consider me for pet sitting. I’m 21 years of age. I work a full-time job from 4-10 PM every day of the week, but I’m available all hours before then (6 AM-3:30 PM). Thank you! Living in the outer banks means there are plenty of pedestrian and dog friendly places! While I do not have a fenced in yard, I have many miles to walk with your pet.

“She is amazing with animals and so kind hearted!!! I'd trust her with my fur baby anytime. Salem adores her and is happy whenever she comes over. She is always on point with care and maintains everything needed down to a T!.”

Heather B.
“Heather was so helpful in watching after our dog and home a few months ago. We were able to meet her two days before our trip and felt very comfortable leaving our belongings in her care. Heather is very friendly, personable, and willing to help. Our large Great Pyrenees can be intimidating just by his size but she handled it with ease. We were out of service for several weeks so weren't able to contact her, but returned to a happy and healthy dog. Our house was tidy and clean upon return as well. We would welcome Heather back to pet-sit or as a guest anytime!”

Stephanie R.

“Stephanie was wonderful. Very accommodating and flexible to help me with Theo. Very quick to respond. I would 100% book with Stephanie again.”

Kennedy F.
“Kennedy watched our big Husky/Shepard and Doberman, and our two little kitties, and did such a great job, and with so much love! The critters were so calm and relaxed, and we were thrilled at how well they all got along with Kennedy. Highly recommend!”
