Katherine P.

“Our pup Rosie never spent time away from home so she was a bit upset when I left her at Katherine's for the day. Much to my relief, she ended up having as good a day as one could expect for being away from home for the very first time. She must have felt good vibes from the start because she greeted Katherine like a friend immediately. Through the day I received lots of pics and updates. Katherine seemed very loving and understanding of Rosie's quirks and anxiety - framing all of her behavior in a very positive and compassionate way. Rosie was glad to be picked up, but she also offered Katherine a parting kiss and I suspect she will be glad to go back.”

About: Hi my name is Taylor, ever since i was i little girl I've always loved animals! I grew up with 3 cats, 2 German Shepards and a lab/pincher mix, as of now i have my handsome cat, Oatie who loves to snuggle up with me and follows me everywhere i go. I love all fur babies of all shapes, and sizes! I've had experience with looking after my sisters puppy 5 days a week for a couple hours; my responsibilities included feeding, taking him for a walk, giving a treat when he did his duties and playing with him. I've also watched my uncles dog multiple times for weeks at a time. Taking care of pets is not a job its more of a hobby for me. I am currently a stay at home mom, 3 out of 4 of my children are in school, I also have a reliable sitter for my youngest when needed. I have plenty of free time on my hands to take care of your pets :) Providing a protected and clean environment for all fur babies. I have a good size fenced in yard and when being hot and sunny outside I will provide a cool shaded space. Always insuring that they have fresh water in their bowls. Will always get all of my love and attention that he or she deserves!

About: Welcome to my Rover account, where a world of animal love and care awaits your furry friends! With six years of dedicated experience in animal caregiving, I am thrilled to be your go-to pet sitter. My passion for animals led me to work at a renowned boarding and grooming place, where I honed my skills and developed a deep understanding of their needs. Though my heart has been touched by the unconditional love of pets throughout my life, I am currently without a pet. However, my affection for animals has only grown stronger, and I am eager to share my love and care with your adorable companions. As a parent to a young daughter, I understand the importance of safety, comfort, and compassion in every aspect of pet care. Your pet will not only receive professional attention but also experience a nurturing environment as a part of our extended family. Previously, I had the pleasure of being a Rover pet sitter before taking a break due to the loss of my beloved older dog, Meagan. Now, I am ready to embark on a new chapter and rekindle my connection with animals, providing them with the love and care they deserve. When your pet is under my watchful eye, you can rest assured that they will be treated with the utmost respect and affection. From exhilarating walks to cozy cuddle sessions, I'll ensure your pet feels cherished and happy during their time with me! Pet care seamlessly integrates into my daily and weekly routine, thanks to the flexibility of working from home. With the ability to take breaks approximately every 2 to 3 hours, I ensure that your furry companion receives the attention and care they deserve throughout the day. In the morning, I kickstart our day with a refreshing walk or playtime session to get both of us energized and ready for the day ahead. This not only provides essential exercise for your pet but also sets a positive tone for the hours to come. During my work hours, I structure my tasks to accommodate regular breaks, allowing me to check in on your pet's well-being frequently. These breaks are a perfect opportunity for quick potty breaks, a snuggle session, or even some interactive play to keep their spirits high. When it's mealtime, you can count on me to serve up their favorite meals at consistent intervals. Proper nutrition is crucial, and I ensure your pet's diet is balanced and in line with their individual needs. As the day progresses, I make it a priority to dedicate quality time to your pet. Whether it's a leisurely stroll around the neighborhood or some engaging indoor activities, I understand the importance of keeping them mentally and physically stimulated. Since I'm working from home, I'm fortunate to be available for any veterinarian appointments or grooming visits your pet may need. Their health and hygiene are paramount, and I am committed to providing the best possible care. When the workday comes to a close, we wind down together, making time for relaxation and cuddles. I believe in the power of bonding moments, and I'm eager to build a strong connection with your pet during our time together. Throughout the week, I aim to vary our activities to keep things exciting and engaging for your furry friend. Whether it's exploring new trails, visiting pet-friendly spots, or learning new tricks, we'll make sure every moment is cherished and enjoyable. When caring for pets in my home or my client's home, I prioritize their well-being and happiness above all else. I ensure a safe and comfortable environment, providing regular exercise, nutritious meals, and plenty of affection. Regular playtime, walks, and mental stimulation are incorporated into their daily routine. Additionally, I am attentive to any specific needs or medical requirements, administering medications as necessary. My goal is to create a loving and nurturing atmosphere where pets feel at ease and cherished throughout their time under my care.

About: I'm super excited about working with dogs. I've had cats for the past 20 years. I now live in a 5-cat, 2-dog, 4 hermit crab, and 1 human child household. We have Willow, a 6 year old golden retriever mix (half golden, part rottie, part everything else), and Lilo, a 14 year old chihuahua. We found Lilo running in traffic a couple years ago, no chip, no tags. She clearly had a rough time on the streets, but she is surprisingly loving now, even though she is half blind. Bully mixes are my personal favorite. I've never met a pittie who I didn't love (those grins are just too cute). I know a lot of people tend to be scared of dogs with big boxy faces, but they just look like happy, squishy faces to me! I work out of the home, but there is always an adult home here! Since we have dogs and a toddler, we're always here to care for pups and play. I have a fully fenced yard with grass. We also have baby gates to block off the family room, the kitchen, and the stairs, to help create individual safe areas. I work full time but there is almost always someone home! We have five capable adults in the household, plus a small child who love animals. We have a fully fenced backyard, event the chihuahua can't escape (she has tried!). We follow pet-parent rules (i.e., on furniture or not, crate or not, etc.).
