Kayleigh was so great with my dogs and she went above and beyond to care for my senior dog. Communication was top notch and she kept me updated about everything. She’s great and we can’t wait to see her again.

About: I’ve been around pets all my life. From the moment I was born we had cats and my family members had dogs. My cousin trains dogs and has been for 3 years, she gets them as little puppies and I am always around them. I walk dogs frequently and am around them frequently! I help a lot of people dog sit! I would like to get some extra cash and exercise while I am at school! I have an easy schedule this semester and would love to walk a dog or care for a pet. I’ve dog sitted many times before. Everytime I make sure I take them on walks, make sure they pee/poop, and feed them properly, but you can’t forget to love on them!! At home I love on my pets a lot, feed them, and change their litter box.

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and can’t imagine life without them. Growing up with dogs taught me that every pup has a unique personality, and over the years I’ve also cared for dogs belonging to family members and friends. I have experience with dogs of all ages—from energetic puppies to gentle seniors—as well as dogs with different temperaments, activity levels, and care needs. In addition to personal pet care experience, I am an active shelter volunteer at Four Footed Friends, where I enjoy hands-on experience working with dogs of varying backgrounds and abilities. I understand the importance of patience, consistency, and making each dog feel safe and loved. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, playtime, cuddles on the couch, or simply sticking to their normal routine, I’ll provide dependable, attentive care and treat them like one of my own. My goal is to give you peace of mind while making sure your dog is happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I work full time M-F 8am-4:30pm. I can be available mornings before work, or evenings after, during weekdays. Weekends are flexible. Working out what works best for you and your pets should not be a problem. I have a four-year-old female (spayed) mini goldendoodle who is highly socialized with a friendly temperament and loves to play with other dogs of all sizes. I try to get her out for a walk every day, depending on weather, or at least a little time sitting outside on the porch or playing fetch in the yard. If we can’t go outdoors, she loves to play tug, and enjoys puzzle toys for mental stimulation, or some trick training with treats. We both love to be outside during the summer, so if you have a backyard, we are willing to entertain your pup with play, lounging outside, or going for a walk.

About: I've been been a kennel attendant for 6 months where I took care of dogs of all breeds. I've also learned how to administer medication to pets for different diseases I am currently employed at a no kill animal shelter where I work with dogs all day long! I also have 3 pets myself so I have plenty of experience! I've been working in the animal field for a little over a year, but have had my own pets since I was little. Laura did an AMAZING job taking care of my (multiple) pets while I was out of town for 5 days. It is clear that she is a true animal lover! She kept in touch with photos and updates throughout her stay at my home and went above and beyond in making sure they had plenty of attention and company while I was away. My dogs (and cats) loved having her around and they will be super excited to see her the next time I book her for sitting. 5 out of 5 stars!

I’m on break from college for now, so I have plenty of free time to spend with your pets! I can take care of pets weekdays/weeknights/weekends. About: I used to work at an animal rescue so I’ve dealt with all kinds of dogs! What I learned from working there is that every animal is special and deserves all the love in the world. I work part-time at an elementary school. I typically work Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, so my schedule any other day is wide open. I just need the client to put in the request a couple days in advance! I am a college student so I live in an apartment with three other girls. The apartment is pet friendly and we have dogs over all the time! There is no fenced in yard, but there is a beautiful, spacious yard behind the complex. As for a client’s home, I will care for the pet per the clients request!

About: I have taken care of my friends dogs for multiple nights in a row while her and her family were on vacation. Done this multiple times. I am part time. I am home from school in the summer so I can only provide some of these services right now. But I usually don’t have to work until 4pm. I have 6 cats and they are all pretty chill. Just the usual feeding and cleaning the litter box. I also love to cuddle so they are definitely loved.

About: I had numerous dogs growing up and currently have one of my own, Finley, a Goldendoodle; I adore looking after pets and others. Dogs of all energy levels are welcome as I have a large yard, great for playtime, and plenty of space to accommodate others. Plenty of experience with medicines and special needs animals, too. Routine is key with time management to make sure there adequate time for play and adventure. Every morning starts with a walk, and I typically take my own pet to the park twice a day. My home has an enclosed backyard with ample space to run around. When house/petsitting, I’ll always ensure pets are on a leash before exiting to run errands or go for a walk.

FAQs for House Sitting - Burrell

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 943 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Burrell. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Burrell walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Burrell maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Burrell choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Burrell. On Rover:

  • 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 90% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
