“We are so grateful for finding Jenny! She was so good with our pups and we enjoyed our vacation knowing they were being well taken care of. We received updates with photos everyday and immediate response anytime we had a question. We are very happy with this experience.”

“Kiki can be an ornery cat; known to hide when uncomfortable and likes to hunt… well, Savannah and Dakotah made Kiki so comfortable, she refused to come home! Thank you for the pictures and she loves her Christmas gifts jingling all over the house … highly recommended pet sitter!”

“I am very reluctant to leave my dogs for travel, but Mary made it very easy. Our boxer, Ruger, loved Mary from the meet and greet and enjoyed his stay with her. She gave special attention to all I asked which included giving medication and special feeding instructions. Mary was always quick to respond and gave daily updates with pictures. I would use Mary again to keep my pets!”
“Gabrielle did such a great job taking care of our dogs!! Excellent communication from beginning to end. We received a lot of pictures, videos and updates and our boys were very well taken of thanks to Gabrielle! We will definitely be using Gabrielle again and again.”

About: I have experience caring for both dogs and cats and truly enjoy spending time with animals. I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, and I take pride in providing patient, loving, and reliable care. My experience includes feeding, walking, playtime, cleaning up after pets, refreshing water, and following specific care instructions such as schedules or basic medications if needed. I make sure pets are fed on schedule, get regular walks or playtime, and plenty of attention throughout the day. I’m attentive and present, and I enjoy building pet care into my daily and weekly routine. I have a fenced in backyard where we can run around and play together. I can give medications, give baths, do any special accommodations, etc.

About: I’m a teacher, lifelong dog lover, and proud dog mom to two pups of my own, so I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care. My goal is simple: make your dog feel safe, loved, and comfortable while giving you total peace of mind. Whether your pup loves long walks, playing fetch, couch cuddles, or just a calm companion, I’m happy to match their energy and routine. I’m dependable, patient, detail-oriented, and committed to treating every pet like family. Plus, expect plenty of photo updates because I know how much we all miss our dogs when we’re away! I am a teacher so I am off for the summer. So I have lots of time to care for pets! Whether that is drop-in visits or going on walks. Available on weekdays and weekends. Please request to schedule in advance due to trips or dates J may not be available! Our house is a home to dogs only, as my husband and I are both unfortunately allergic to cats. Our dogs get yearly vaccinations and are free from fleas and heart worms, and they LOVE guests as they are very friendly and well-trained. I am available to have overnight sitting if your pet is comfortable with other dogs.
About: I’ve been taking care of pets since I was 13. I’ve been taking care of dogs typically for three years I currently have three dogs myself. I just love everything about animals. I’m currently working part time and will be available to care for your pet most of the time I am willing to walk, sit, board and anything else you would like me to do for your animal. I do not have a fenced yard, but I do have a yard. I currently have two adult dogs, one Pug and one golden doodle and recently have gotten a one year old puppy so your pet will be more than welcome in home. I take my dogs out once every 2 to 3 hours to keep them on the schedule as I will with your dog.
“I love how Kenneth and Nette take care of our dog. She comes home happy and well taken care of, they even gave her a bath this last time she had a longer stay. We will be try to book with them every time we need to travel out of town without our dog.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 14 sitters on Rover offering Dog Boarding across Bunkie. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Every sitter has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.
Sitters may also include daily walks in the neighborhood during your dog's boarding stay. You can also request photo and message updates throughout so you can see which local landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.
If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Bunkie home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Bunkie.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Bunkie sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in LA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
